How to use BayTex Party!?
IT'S
SO SIMPLEYOUR MOM MAY BECOME A DJ

Drag your songs files over Party! window and...
-
If you just want to listen the songs:
-
Click on the "Random Order" button, and then
on the "Play" button...
-
If you want to desing your first list
-
Choose the order for your songs (click in the "PlayList"
button if it isn't already visible)
-
Select songs and move them with those little arrows
in the lower left corner of the list
-
Hit "Play" in the main window...
-
If you want to design a whole party:
-
Create a list (as explained in the last point)
-
Click on each song and click on "Mix Settings" in
the lower right corner of the list
-
Play with the mix of your selected song with the
finishing one
-
If you want to design a whole party for manual
control:
-
Create a party (as explained in the last point)
-
Click on the "Sound Effect" button on the main window
-
Here you choose small pieces of song to play them,
at any but rate, with just a key stroke!
-
Start your party, play with the pitch , play your
funny jingles... and make the best party of your life!!!
(pressing "P" resets the pitch, and "V", the volume)
BayTex Party! Shortcuts:
Play / Next song: "Tab"
Stop playing list: "Space"
Stop playing effect: "Escape"
Set volume to maximum: V
Set pitch to normal: P
Pressing a number will change the next effect pitch: 1 - 110%, 2 - 120%... 0 - 200%
Pressing "-" or "+" will decrease ot increase the effect pitch in 10%
Pressing "=" or " ` " will revert it to the normal effect pitch.

Q: What does BTP! mean?
A: It means BayTex Party!
Q: When is the final version being released?
A: BayTex Party! is under development... I don't
know when it will be finished.
Q: I really like BayTex, it's very cool!
A: Party! (with that "!" included) is the shareware
name!!! BayTex is the enterprise name!!!...
Q: I found a bug... when will you fix it?
A: The last version released is Beta 5 (download).
Maybe your bug is already fixed.

Making skins for BayTex Party!:
-
All you need it's two pictures: One with buttons off and
other with buttons on.
-
Duplicate the "Default Skin" file (in the Skins folder) and
open it with a resource editor.
-
Copy your pictures together: The skin turned off in the left
and turned on on the right (as seen on the original resource file)
-
Replace with your picture the original.
-
Replace, in the TEXT resource, the values of your buttons
in the following format:
-
Button or control name,
-
Pixels from the left border of the window,
-
Pixels from the top,
-
Button width,
-
Button heigh
-
Add the color amounts (in RGB format from 0 to 255) in the
last 3 values.

When your skin is ready, send it to me, so I can test it
and add to the Skin List (under construction)
Translating BayTex Party!:
If you are able to translate
every english string contained in BTP! to another language (not already
translated), I can offer you a free full working copy of BTP! in exchange
of your work. This mean, translate new strings for the coming versions,
until the next version jump (to 3.0).
