Ruler Units

This command opens the Ruler Units dialog box that lets you set the unit of measure used by the Time Ruler or Amplitude Ruler.

Time

The Time determines the unit of measure for the Time Ruler.

Time Seconds are displayed in the value to the third decimal place.
Second
Millisecond 1 millisecond equals 1/1000 second.
Sample 1 sample represents one sample per second (sample rate)
Frames The number of frames displayed per second (The start frame is set to 0)
Time Code hours:minutes:seconds, frame number
Frames and Time code are the time units of measure commonly used for video data. If either option is selected, choose one of the frame rates available in the Frames per Second dropdown list. You can choose any of Film 24, PAL 25, NTSC 29.97, and NTSC 30. The number at the end of each option represents the number of frames played per second.
Amplitude

The Amplitude determines the unit of measure for the Amplitude Ruler.

Percentage From -100% to  100%
Decimal

16bit: from -32768 to 32767
8bit: from -128 to  127

Hexadecimal 16bit: from 8000 to 7FFF
8bit: from 80 to  7F
If the Percentage is selected, the amplitude is displayed in percentage relative to the maximum amplitude (0 dB) of 100%.

Changing the ruler unit in this dialog box will update the time value displayed in the Cue Point/Section window and the Selection Start/End window to reflect the new unit of measurement.
