The DiagramStudio Help dialog box has three tabs: Contents, Index, and Search.

Contents

When you click on the Contents tab you see the major topics covered in DiagramStudio Online Help. This table of contents is organized like a user’s manual with major topics, subtopics, and articles you can read. If you just want to learn about DiagramStudio, you could start at the top and read each article.

Index

Usually, you look for help with a specific question in mind. For example, you want to make some text bold and you are not sure how to do that. In this case, you would click on Help, Help Topics, and Index. The Index tab will list all the keywords of DiagramStudio Online Help. When DiagramStudio Help was written, keywords were added to each topic to help you find the information you need. You can type the first few letters of the word you are looking for, or you can scroll through the alphabetical list of keywords. Once you have found the word, click on the Display button at the bottom to read the information.

Search

If you cannot find the information you are looking for using the Index tab, then you can click on the Search tab. The difference between using the Index tab and the Search tab is that the Index tab searches through the keywords that were placed in each topic of DiagramStudio Online Help while the Search tab searches through all the words. The Index search is faster and should be tried first.
