New Message Preferences |
When you receive a new message, Fire can flash its application icon in the dock, flash the chat window with the new message, and bounce its application icon, either just once or until Fire has your attention and it brought to the foreground.
You can set the default priority for chat windows, a setting which can be overridden on a per-buddy basis. Chat windows with new messages can stay where they are, position themselves in front of other other chat windows, or position themselves in front of all other windows.
When you receive a message from someone not on your buddy list, Fire can block those messages or knock and ask you what you want to do with the message.
The Fire Console (not to be confused with the OS X Console.app) can display itself when new Console messages are received.
