Create and manipulate Metaballs (part 3)
You'll make the dragonfly's eyes by creating and positioning two tiny Metaballs. To help you position the eyes, you'll use different views.
- Click the Metaball tool to create a Metaball for the first eye.
- Click the Edit attributes button.
- In the Object attributes dialog box, change the X, Y, and Z size settings to 6, 6, 6.
- Click OK.
- Press Command\Control + D to create the second eye.
- Click the triangle beside the View control to display the View options menu, and choose From front.
- Click the Zoom tool
, located on the Advanced display palette to the right of the working window, to get a closer view of the dragonfly.
- In front view, position the eyes on the sides of the dragonfly's head.
- Switch to top view, and adjust the position of the eyes.
