Create and manipulate Metaballs (part 3)

You'll make the dragonfly's eyes by creating and positioning two tiny Metaballs. To help you position the eyes, you'll use different views.

  1. Click the Metaball tool to create a Metaball for the first eye.
  2. Click the Edit attributes button.
  3. In the Object attributes dialog box, change the X, Y, and Z size settings to 6, 6, 6.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Press Command\Control + D to create the second eye.
  6. Click the triangle beside the View control to display the View options menu, and choose From front.
  7. Click the Zoom tool Lets you zoom in, located on the Advanced display palette to the right of the working window, to get a closer view of the dragonfly.
  8. In front view, position the eyes on the sides of the dragonfly's head.
  9. Switch to top view, and adjust the position of the eyes.
