Using i-mode

If you subscribe to an i-mode cellular phone service, then you can use Paint Shop Photo Album to publish an image as an i-mode web page.

The web pages that Paint Shop Photo Album creates for i-mode are specifically designed for small screens. i-mode web pages must be less than 5K in size (including text and graphics).

To send an image to i-mode:

  1. On the Browse tab, click the album to display thumbnail views of the images in the album in the Album View window.

  2. Select the image for which you want to create an i-mode web page.

  3. Choose Share > i-mode to open the i-mode Export dialog.

  4. Enter a title for the image in the Title field.

  5. Existing information about the image displays in the Description field. To add or change this information, enter a description of the image in the Description field.

  6. In the Image Size group box, choose an option:

  1. Click the Apply Changes to apply the title, description, and image size settings.

  2. Click the Save button open the Save i-mode Pages dialog.

  3. Choose a directory location to save the i-mode pages, and then click the OK button.

  4. Click the Publish button to open the Publish Your Photos to the Web dialog.

  5. Click Next to open the Select a Web Server wizard page.

  6. To configure the program to access a FTP server, click New and enter the FTP Server details.

  1. Click Next to open the Ready to Publish Your Photos to the Web wizard page.

  2. A series of screens display stepping you through the upload pro­cess. Follow the directions that appear on the screens.

  3. Click Publish to post your files to the selected FTP site.

  4. When the upload is complete, a screen is displayed with a link to the web page.

Note: i-mode pages are automatically saved using the name of the image, and uploaded to the site. On the web server, they will be located in folder called: <datetime>/img1.html.
