Use the Batch Rename tool when you want to rename batches of images with a meaningful name. For example, you can rename images IMG001 - IMG020 as 1st Birthday001 - 1st Birthday020.
To rename multiple images:
On the Browse tab, click the album to display thumbnail views of the images in the album in the Album View window.
In the Album View window, select the images that you want to rename.
To select multiple images, press and hold the <Ctrl> key and click the images.
To select multiple images in a sequence, press and hold the <Shift> key, click the first image in the sequence, and then click the last image in the sequence.
Click the down-arrow on the Batch button and choose Rename to open the Batch Rename dialog.
Enter the new name for the images in the New Title field.
Enter the beginning number that you want to append to the file name.
A confirmation window opens stating that this operation cannot be undone. Click Yes to continue, click No to cancel.
Mark the Do not display this warning again check box, if you do not want to be warned when you perform an operation that cannot be undone.
