| Add/Change Account Dialog |
The Add/Change Account dialog allows you to add a new e-mail account or change an existing account. You can show the Add/Change account dialog by clicking the Add or Change buttons in the Preferences dialog.
- Account Type
- Choose the type of e-mail account (Hotmail, Yahoo, or POP).
- Address
- Type the e-mail address of the account. This field is shown only for POP accounts.
- User name
- Type the user or login name for the e-mail account. If this field is blank for a POP account, the value is set to the user name portion of the e-mail address.
- Password
- Type the password for the e-mail account.
- Mail server
- Type the name of the host that you use to retrieve mail for the e-mail account (the POP server name).
If your mail server uses a non-standard port, you can specify a port number by typing a colon (:) and the port number after the server name. (Example: pop.yourisp.com:110)
If this field is blank, the value is set to the host name portion of the e-mail address. This field is shown only for POP accounts.
- Forward to
- Type the e-mail address to receive the forwarded mail from the account. If this field is blank, the value is set to "(default)" and the value specified for the Default Forward to field in the Preferences dialog box is used when the account is processed.
- Leave mail on server
- Click this box to leave the mail on the server after it has been forwarded. Mail Forward keeps track of which messages have been forwarded and will ignore them on subsequent runs.
