Smart Address 2000

Ideal for single users, sales professionals, multi-person teams in local or remote offices, for managing club or society memberships and hundreds of other uses, Smart Address 2000 is configurable to allow it to work the way you want to.

Smart Address 2000 is a client/server application, allowing contacts and information to be shared across different users and computers or simply used on a single computer by a single user.

As a client/server application, there are two modes it may be run in:

Standalone Mode:

This is the mode set by default during the install of Smart Address. In Standalone mode, both the Smart Address Database (The Database Engine) and the Smart Address Client are run on the same machine. In this set-up, the Address Books created are only available to the people using that machine.

Networked Mode:

This mode allows the Smart Address Database to be shared across a network and therefore accessed from any machines running the Smart Address Client.

Key features of Smart Address 2000 include

• A Contacts Section allowing an unlimited number of contacts to be held in customizable Contact Groups.
  

• An Address Book Calendar, allowing calendar events to be defined for your Address Book and any of your contacts.
  
• A Note "book" allowing an unlimited number of notes to be held in customizable Note Group.
  
• Tracking of Tasks that can be defined for your Address Book and any of your contacts.
  
• Flexible printing, including full End-User Report Designer for creating and saving user specific reports
  
• In-built Security controlling both access to the Address Database and to any part of the Address Book and its contents.
  
• Letter facility that will automatically generate personalized letters for any, or all, of your contacts (requires Microsoft Word 97 or later).
  
• EMail facility that will automatically generate personalized EMails to any, or all, of your contacts (requires a MAPI Compliant Mail Client)
  
• Each Address Book has a "Home" Page, showing outstanding and due calendar entries and tasks in a single easy to read view.
  
• Can issue Reminder Alarms, even when your Address Book is not open, to remind you about important appointments or events.
  
• Full history and event tracking for any actions made for your Contacts
  
• "Action Fields" allow single-click access to dial phone numbers, send EMail or visit web sites.

• A "World Time" facility allowing the time in any part of the world to be quickly displayed.
  
• National Holiday support allowing the National Holidays for any country to be displayed in the Address Book Calendar
  
• Can Monitor incoming telephone calls and automatically locate the contact record for the caller (requires a Caller ID compatible device and the Caller ID service provided by your telecom provider).
