Upgrading

Regarding RAM, remember these three rules:

  1. Always buy a PC with the latest and fastest RAM available.
  2. Always buy a PC with as much RAM as possible.
  3. If upgrading RAM, remember to match memory type, speed, and parity.

Usually, your motherboard will have several available memory slots for future RAM upgrades. The important thing to remember is that when you add RAM to your PC, you must add a bank at a time. Check your PC's manual for further details.
