Day 133 - 12 Jun 95 - Page 62
MR. MORRIS: There is a very brief legal matter.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Very well. (To the witness): Do not discuss
anything else in your evidence.

THE WITNESS: I was going to ask, I have not made a note of it.
Am I allowed to speak to our solicitors just to check?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, just speak to Mrs. Brinley-Codd because
you may need her assistance. You may need her assistance
to make it clear what you have to find out. You are
certainly entitled to engage her assistance over the
mechanics of getting the answers.

THE WITNESS: Thank you.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If you wish and if she is prepared to do it.

(The witness withdrew).

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, Mr. Morris?

MR. MORRIS: It was just to say that we have been looking into
some of the outstanding legal matters that have been put on
one side for quite a substantial time now. We have not
completed a list, but we are working on a list and we feel
that they may take two or three days.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: How long do you think you are
likely -- I would have thought that you might very well
finish Ms. Mead's cross-examining tomorrow, might you not?

MR. MORRIS: It is possible, yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If that were so do you want to use Wednesday
for some of this, in which case you could tell Mr. Rampton
tomorrow or tell me in open court what you would like to
deal with on Wednesday; or do you want to use Wednesday to
make sure you have everything up to speed?

MR. MORRIS: Yes, we want to get a list sorted out as soon as
possible, some of which we have to get legal advice on
whether we are going to go into it or not. The reason
I was saying that really is just so we know ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are you saying you would like to come back to
that as soon as Mr. Stein has finished?

MR. MORRIS: That might be helpful, yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think the sooner you get your list out the
better because Mr. Rampton has to think about it as well.
Was there anything else?

MR. MORRIS: No.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The other thing which would help me, by
scouring through my notebook, which I propose to do anyway,
I can probably make up a list of all those employment
witnesses with whom you have had some contact within the
