  Q. -- 35 hours or more 16 plus to 34?
       A. Yes.

  Q. And then less than 16?
       A. I am not sure that that now -- I have never heard of
them referred to as "occasional workers".

MS. STEEL: I will just say again, this was at the time that
       you were Head of Personnel?
       A. Oh, yes.

  Q. But you did not know about this?
       A. I had never heard of that, no.

  Q. Did you actually spend more time in the Security
       Department, Mr. Nicholson?
       A. No. At this time I would be spending more time in the
       Franchising Department.

MR. MORRIS: You said that you began the 96 hours recording
system, over 96 hours recording system, in 1987/88?
       A. Yes.

  Q. You did that yourself?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Around that time the computerised system was brought in, is
that correct, according to your affidavit? Mr. Rampton
said that is what you said in your affidavit.
       A. Yes. I mean, I did not know when they made the change
from the clock card to the other, but I got that from the
       Information Services Department.

  Q. So you must have been aware; you said you were not aware of
how the computerised system worked just before?
       A. No, I said I do not know how they record the hours.

  Q. But you said you were not familiar, you said ---
       A. No.

  Q. -- with the computerised system ---
       A. No.

  Q. -- you were familiar with the clock cards?
       A. I was not all that familiar with the clock cards
either. I did not do an awful lot of field service -- of
field work when I was in the Personnel Department. I paid
visits to the restaurants. I left the actual checking of
the restaurants to the Field Personnel Officer responsible
       for that restaurant.

  Q. So, despite being Head of Personnel for something like
three or four years between 1987 and 1991 ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- four years ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- you were not familiar with the computerised reporting
