Day 155 - 14 Jul 95 - Page 38

reminded you of the time when you saw the leaflets on the
       table?
       A. No. That specific incident did not remind me because,
as far as I am concerned, that incident did not exist
because I do not remember it at all.

  Q. You do not remember any arguments with Mr. Magee about his
       locker being broken into?
       A. No.

  Q. Do you remember any arguments or discussions with any crew
about their lockers having been opened and belongings taken
       out?
       A. No.

MR. MORRIS: You said in your statement: "I did not investigate
the matter but asked two of my Managers if anyone knew
       anything about the leaflets"?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. It was such an insignificant happening that you remembered
exactly how many Managers you actually talked to about it?
       A. Considering I had a salaried management team of three,
       it was not that difficult.

  Q. You do not know if they were actually at the store at the
time, do you? You remember talking to them. That is what
you said in your statement about the leaflets.
       A. Yes, but I would remember my management team.

  Q. You said you remember talking to two of your Managers and
asked if anyone knew anything about the leaflets. You said
that this is a true record of what you remember. It cannot
be an insignificant occurrence if you remember it with such
       detail, can it?
       A. Talking to two of my Managers about this incident?

  Q. Yes.
       A. I can remember talking to one of my Managers, three of
my Managers, four of my Managers about things six, seven
years ago that are now insignificant and have been since
then, but I still remember them sometimes and sometimes
       I do not.

  Q. Sometimes you do and sometimes you do not, but in this case
       you do?
       A. Vaguely, yes.

  Q. So you have really a vague recollection of this incident?
       A. Very vague, yes.

  Q. You are not sure if it was two Managers, it might be one,
       it might have been three?
       A. No, I think the first time it was definitely two; the
second time it might have been just the Shift Manager, as
       I have stated.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: There was a time some years ago -- was it the
       North London Polytechnic ---
       A. Yes.
