Day 208 - 24 Jan 96 - Page 17
couple of people that have not attended any.

MS. STEEL: If people are tripping on a tile, or something like
that, and it is something they want raised at a rap
session, they do not all have to go, do they? They can
say, you know: "Fred is going, he is going to raise it,
let us leave it to him"?
A. Yes, that is the way it works. To be perfectly honest
with you, the notice will go up saying that the rap session
will be in two weeks, or whatever time, at what time and
what day, and by the time, you know, an hour or two before
the meeting, everybody knows what is going to be said in
the meeting, because everybody has discussed it, or you
find little groups that have discussed things; and you can
always tell.

Q. So, generally, things that are said are not necessarily
just like an isolated person, just one person?
A. They may not be, they may be; it depends. I could not
tell you on every single incident. But the people with the
major complaints such as PRs, and that sort of thing, then
yes, they would go along. It is the kind of more minor
things, such as the equipment in the store, that six of you
do not go along to complain about the fact that we have not
got any spatulas or have not got enough spatulas, or .....

MR. JUSTICE BELL: They go along because they have some
particular point to make, and then they would be asked
about all these other things anyway?
A. Yes. It is structured with the questions, yes.

Q. If there was not a spatula, they would have the opportunity
to mention it, I assume, even though that was not the
reason why they went in the first place?
A. Yes, sure.

Q. So, you were not suggesting that there were more complaints
than there might be because it was the people with
attitude ---
A. Not -----

Q. -- who went along to the meeting?
A. No.

MR. JUSTICE RAMPTON: Very well then.

MS. STEEL: In your statement -- it is actually the last page,
paragraph 31, page 8: "There are regular rap sessions and
crew meetings, some of which I have attended." They are
supposed to be held how often?
A. Quarterly, I believe, or every four months. I am not
sure of the amount.

Q. Would it surprise you that there was no rap session between
June 1992 and May 1993, a period of 11 months?
A. Yes, it would.

Q. So you do not remember that?
A. No.
