MR. MORRIS: Yes, I did actually phone him up again last night.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will talk about it early next week.
I will give dates then.

MR. RAMPTON: I have some documents which I would like to
distribute this evening, in other words, before tomorrow.
The first are copies of Mr. Nicholson's two affidavits.
I hand in a copy of each to your Lordship. The next are
copies of that Sun Valley presentation which Dr. Gomez
Gonzalez found in his briefcase today. Then for your
Lordship there is a copy of that wodge of Tyson documents
which we have not looked at yet which the Defendants
produced this morning. Then, finally, I have found what
I think or believe to be are regulations made by the
Secretary of State for Agriculture in the United States
under the Humane Slaughter Act or the 1978 Amendment. They
come from this, which is only part of a volume, which is
disclosed as item No. 42 in the Plaintiffs' second
supplementary list of documents.

MS. STEEL: What pages are they?

MR. RAMPTON: You will get a copy and you will see for yourself
in a moment. My Lord, it starts on page 152 and runs
through about seven pages.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will adjourn now until 10.30 in the
morning. If in the morning Mr. Atkinson can just stand up
and tell me on which day we had the discussion about the
affidavits we were talking about last night so that I can
find it, because I made a bit of a search this morning and
failed totally to find where it was.
