Day 276 - 09 Jul 96 - Page 39

was living in Yorkshire I was growing my own food.

The other thing that I notice is still outstanding is
the extra points that were served in relation to Jane
Portland, Mr. Gravett, and I am not sure that there is
anything that has not been covered. I will just check.

  Q. What I think I will do is say that you can have the time
now. I will take a five minute break there anyway. You
can check through those notes and give a moment or two's
thought to whether there are any points, apart from those
       you have made notes on?
       A. Yes.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

                         (Short adjournment)

MS. STEEL: Yes, the additional points: I cannot remember
whether I have already said this or not, but just in case I
have not, Michelle Hooker was involved in organising the
London Greenpeace fayre in 1990, including making
announcements in the stage during the day and coordinating
events. I can recollect both Alan Clare and Roy
Pocklington taking the minutes of London Greenpeace
meetings on more than one occasion.

But it was always my understanding that Veggies in
Nottingham and other groups such as, I think, Ark Print (?)
were the ones that were distributing in bulk the various
versions of the anti-McDonald's leaflets and fact sheets,
rather than London Greenpeace. The meeting of 25th January
1990 was not advertised as a public meeting. That
Mr. Pocklington, Mr. Bishop, Mr. Clare and Michelle Hooker
were most definitely considered to be among the regulars at
meetings. That all four expressed interest in
anti-McDonald's campaigning, asking questions about the
campaign and that none of them ever disassociated
themselves from any discussion at meetings about
McDonald's. I think that is it. Mr. Morris' Haringey
affidavit, my affidavit has been taken as read; has it
       not?

  Q. Yes?
       A. Right, okay. I think that is it then.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

                    Cross-examined by MR. MORRIS:

  Q. I want to go through a few points which you raised in no
particular order, well, the order that you raised them in.
We have dealt with that actually. Yes, when you said you
had read a copy of Peace News that reported about the legal
dispute between Veggies and McDonald's; do you remember?
       A. Yes.

  Q. And I think you said that the effect of it was that
McDonald's had not sued over a number of, or most of the
contents of the Veggies fact sheet?
