       not?
       A. Yes, I think so, yes.

  Q. I think it was June 22nd, according to Melanie's statement?
       A. Yes.

  Q. That is a very busy period for the store ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- is that correct? You need all the experienced staff
that you can get at that time?
       A. We need the staff, yes.

  Q. Do you remember how many hours Melanie O'Riordon was
working a week on average in the previous weeks leading up
       to the accident?
       A. No, I cannot.

  Q. You do not. Do you remember approximately?
       A. No.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think you should put what your instructions
on that are, because there is a potential issue there which
       may be important so .....

MR. MORRIS: Yes. (To the witness): Melanie O'Riordon says in
       her statement that she was employed on a full-time basis;
would you have any evidence to contradict that?
       A. Yes.

  Q. What evidence?
       A. She was a part-time person on my payroll.

  Q. So during the summer she would work full-time, would she
       not?
       A. She would be given full-time hours, yes.

  Q. So she was a part-timer who was actually working full-time
       in the summer?
       A. Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: So if, for instance, she had worked on from
22nd June until the date in August, I think she says, when
she came back anyway, she would have worked full-time hours
       during that period?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Just in case there is any doubt, what would you call
full-time hours, what number of hours and what sort of
       bracket?
       A. Over 35 hours.

  Q. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: You said that when she finally returned to work she
came back as a party hostess?
       A. Yes.

  Q. She would not have been able to do any other job, would
she, because of her injury? She would not have been able
