Day 262 - 13 Jun 96 - Page 21
You can confirm that, yes?
A. Yes.

Q. Was that the general impression that you got, that the
group was somewhat disorganised about keeping its kind of
history and records, well, organised?
A. Certainly, with regard to written records, yes. A lot
of the history -- any history that was maintained within
the group, my impression was that it came from people
within the group who had been there for some time, who had
been members of the group for a long period.

Q. A kind of verbal history, you mean?
A. Yes.

Q. If we move on to 18th January. Can I just ask you: you
said yesterday that you took the minutes, you can recall,
on at least one occasion. There was no great significance
in who took the minutes, was there?
A. No, no.

Q. It was just thrown open, you know, and anybody could take
them; it was asked for a volunteer?
A. Yes. I do not recall any restrictions on who took
minutes.

Q. It did not mean that if you took minutes you were in charge
of the meeting?
A. No one was in charge of the meetings.

Q. 18th January, you arrived at 7.30 p.m. at Caledonian
Road. "By 8 o'clock, Andrew Clarke, Helen Steel, Kevin,
John and someone from Catford whose name was not given were
present." Yes?
A. Yes.

Q. That, again, would have been Alan?
A. I presume so.

Q. The inquiry agent?
A. I presume so.

Q. He says he was at that meeting. You say, on the second
page: "No more information was forthcoming concerning
client company or any information relevant to this matter."

Presumably, by "no more information", you are referring to
what went on -- in terms of what went on at previous
weeks? You have not got anything this week. There does
not seem to be any mention in there, unless it has been
blanked out, of anything about McDonald's?
A. I cannot remember my intention when I wrote this, but
I presume it refers to previous meetings.

Q. If I had said anything of great significance about
McDonald's, you would have made a note of it?
A. If I had remembered something that you had said and
I had remembered you were the one who said it, then I would
have made a note that you said whatever.
