MR. JUSTICE BELL: Tell us where it is.

MR. MORRIS: I do not mean the actual laboratory.
A. No, I know what you mean. The boning room is off the
end of this map.

Q. It is done in the boning room?
A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: Can I just say something?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: It might be helpful. The Plaintiffs have said
about three or four times that they are going to call
somebody from Jarrets, or they may be. They have had quite
a long time.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I had not understood that there was any
commitment to it. All I know is that I was asked to pencil
in the timetable Jarrets for 8th, 9th and 10th March.

MR. MORRIS: Sorry, I did not realise. That is when I was not
here yesterday morning.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, that is when we were talking the other
afternoon. You were here, in fact, but one does not always
catch everything. I have put in brackets over Wednesday,
8th, through to Friday, 10th March, "Jarret", but I cannot
recall Mr. Rampton's exact words. All I have put in is a
space for any witnesses who may come from Jarret there.

MS. STEEL: I think, to be fair to Mr. Morris, the Plaintiffs
mentioned yesterday that they were going to serve a
statement within the next couple of days from Jarrets.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, I had forgotten that.

MR. RAMPTON: No, no, no. That was not Jarret. That was
Atherton.

MS. STEEL: Oh, sorry.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That was Mr. Wignall's sub. But I think,
from your point of view, you have someone whose statement
I have read relating to Jarret. You will make your own
decision as to whether you call her. McDonald's will make
their own decision. I am not stopping you asking
Mr. Walker about it, but if we come to a stage where he
says he does not know, if he is the only possible witness
who might ever come because there is absolutely no-one
else, a bit of speculation may be justified. But, if one
is thinking there may be someone who knows better, perhaps
one should take "I do not know" for an answer.

MR. MORRIS: It will speed things up if we know we can
definitely get another witness.
