been so keen to deceive the plaintiffs about what my
involvement was and whether or not I had attended meetings
at 6 Endsleigh Street then I would hardly have put it in my
statement which was made just about 3 months after these
interrogatories were sworn. These are dated, they were
served 3rd November, but in actual fact we did not reply to
them until March 1939 and my statement which refers to me
attending meetings at Endsleigh Street was served in July

MR. RAMPTON: Can we turn now to --

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just pause there Mr. Rampton.

MR. RAMPTON: Sorry my Lord, yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will have a 5 minute break.

(Short adjournment)

MR. RAMPTON: Yes Ms. Steel, could you please turn to page 70 in
the agent's notes bundle, which is 8th February 1990, Mr.

That is right, is it not, what he has written there?
That is a true account of the mood of the group at the
beginning of 1990 is it not?
A. I would not say that anything that Alan Clare has

Q. Well, where is that wrong then?
