Day 276 - 09 Jul 96 - Page 21

If you look at photograph No. 8, the person standing
in front of the cow is holding some leaflets, and they are
the A5 "What is wrong with MacDonald's?" leaflets. Again
you can just about see the writing starting the kind of
heading opposite where his wristwatch strap is, and you can
just see the corner of the graphic which appears at the top
of the page, and then obviously the bit of the leaflet that
you can see is just text which does not appear on the front
of the fact sheet. So it cannot be the fact sheet.

Also, they look as though they are yellowish. But I
suppose that one may be a trick of the light, I don't know,
but you can definitely see that they are not the
fact sheets. The front design is not the right graphic
size and placing.

Q. Yes. So is there anything more about those photographs you
want to say?
A. Just that in photograph No. 18, again there is me
holding the banner, but at the other end of the banner,
next to the man holding the other end of the banner, there
is a woman with some orange leaflets in her hand and those
are the orange A5 "What is wrong with MacDonald's?"
leaflets. Again you can see the graphic in the top half of
the leaflet. And the fact sheet was never printed in any
colour other than white that I have ever seen or that
anybody else has ever mentioned to me. I think that is it.

Q. Yes?
A. Sorry. Just checking. Yes, actually, if I just say
that the person I referred to standing in front of the cow
in photograph 8 that is holding the A5 "What is Wrong"
leaflets, is actually Mr. Brook, Charlie Brook. I think
that is it on the photographs. I know we have done this
before with other witnesses, but just because I do not
think I have said it yet in terms of the photographs in tab
7A photograph 2, the woman standing in front of the white
van talking to a white haired man is Michelle Hooker and
you see her more clearly standing in front of a car in
photograph 3.

Q. I think I can pick her out now.
A. Yes, with A5 "What is wrong with MacDonald's?" leaflets
in her hand handing them to the man. Who, incidentally,
that man, I have never seen him on a picket, so he is a
member of the public.

Q. What do you want to go on to now?
A. I wanted to go through just some of the points in the
witness statements, the publication witness statements in
tab yellow 2. Can I just ask, it is quite hard for me to
remember to bring everything up and I am not, despite
having more time, I am not actually as prepared as I would
like to be. If I forget to mention every point it does not
mean that it is going to be taken as I accept what the
witnesses are saying.

Q. No. Well, I do not know what Mr. Rampton will argue. It
