definite job elsewhere". Answer, 13: "Resigning my
position without having immediate employment was a very
difficult decision to make. However, I no longer found it
acceptable that I should be at risk of liability when I had
no control of the circumstances". Then it is signed: "I,
Mike Logan, verify that this statement was made in reply to
questions from the Department of Employment from November
1994", and it is signed by you.

With the changes that you have made, are you prepared to
stand by that statement you made?
A. Yes.

Q. Or is there anything else?
A. Yes, I stand by it. This last bit, I did, like
I said, I was going to go and do some work for a chap
making lamps, but that fell through because I dislocated my
knee, but I did not tell the Employment Department that.

Q. The next thing is that you were asked by the Plaintiffs to
get some details of specific people that had ---
A. Right.

Q. -- you had outlined some general problems?
A. When we were on the phone.

Q. Yes, I phoned you to ask, as I had been requested, about
some examples, yes ---
A. Yes.

Q. -- of people, of the general problems that you had ---
A. Well, there was a lot.

Q. -- applied to them?
A. Yes, there was -- a lot of the statements said that I
had accused somebody of being mistreated or whatever, and
there were only two people I said were being mistreated,
and they were John Gore and Mike Stokes. The other people,
I just, you know, it was things like unsocial hours and
very long hours. You know, I did not say they did not ask
for them though; I just pointed out these people did very
long hours.

Q. If we look at that, have you got that statement behind
whatever you have?
A. Yes, I have got the thing you wrote out, yes.

Q. Yes. Can I just ask, it will save time if I actually read
this out and the witness just corrects me if there is
anything which is inaccurate rather than ask him to
comment. Is that OK?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is. It is OK, as far as I am concerned,
since they are Mr. Morris' notes, not a statement which you
have prepared yourself and signed ---
A. Yes.

Q. Because if there is ------
A. Well, I feel like there has been some kind of mix up.
