Day 071 - 11 Jan 95 - Page 27
A. If I signed the diary then it would have been me who
handled the complained.

Q. So you would have dealt with her?
A. Yes, I would have.

Q. Is that the only time you have come across Mrs. Davies?
A. No. In the time I have been in the restaurant she has
been the person who has complained the most.

Q. Do you know where she lives?
A. Yes, I do.

Q. We see that, at any rate, written down as being (page 807)
5 Royal Avenue. Is that right?
A. Yes.

Q. We see her also on page 806. Somebody else, not you
I think, it does not look like your writing, "Mrs. Davies
re environment/index.html">litter at night"?
A. Yes.

Q. 7th February, that is three days later. Then 25th March it
looks like her again, though it is spelt a different way.
Mrs. Davies, 5 Royal Avenue, 7.03 p.m. and she has left her
telephone number, it looks like. She has photographs of
the rubbish outside. She has guests. She wants you to
ring her today. She is not happy with the rubbish outside;
it spoils the view of her guests.

At this time, 25th March 1994, who was collecting the
rubbish from your premises?
A. That would have been our new contractors.

Q. What at that stage, I think you have told us already but
remind us, was the maximum period for which or during which
Mrs. Davies and her guests could have had their view spoilt
by rubbish bags on the pavement?
A. Half an hour approximately, up to an hour depending on
the traffic for the bin men.

Q. At what time of day or night, as the case may be?
A. At the moment it has been moved forward to half past 8.

Q. Do you know what time it would have been at 25th March
1994?
A. Exactly? I could not give you an exact time, but it
was earlier before because they were experiencing problems
with traffic at that time, so we moved it forward.

Q. Then on 27th April 1994, page 808, do you recognise the
handwriting on this entry or not?
A. I do yes.

Q. Whose is it?
A. It is my immediate boss, my supervisor Ali Haj.

Q. It says: "Ali supervisor went to see Mrs. Smith of 5
Wellington Square. Mrs. Smith was very happy to see the
