Day 267 - 21 Jun 96 - Page 58
I would have made that observation. Whether it was
actually told to me or whether it was visible either there
or somewhere in the room, I do not recall.

Q. If there was not a Stephen in the group, because he never
appears in any of the notes that any of the infiltrators
have made, apart from you when you confused him with
Jonathan, then it would be the case, would it not, that
what you have got there is incorrect?
A. I would have made an observation or a note of some
kind for me to have put that down. Why it is there, I
cannot recall.

Q. They are wooden drawers. It was quite frequently said at
meetings, was it not, that specific enquiries about
McDonald's would be dealt with by Paul; yes?
A. Sorry?

Q. It was quite often said at meetings that specific enquiries
about McDonald's would be dealt with by Paul; yes?
A. It may have been. I cannot remember.

Q. You have got a note that drawer one of the wooden drawers
was letters in regarding McDonald's which needed to be
answered by people like Paul or Andrew; yes?
A. Yes, I have.

Q. That was something that came up a number of times when you
would be at the meetings; yes?
A. I do not recall. Again, as to paragraph 2, it would
have been from an observation I have made or a note that I
had made or something that somebody had said for me to have
put that down.

Q. The second drawer was -- there was one drawer with urgent
letters. I think you agreed with this the other day with
Mr. Rampton. There was another drawer with not so urgent,
which was basically any general enquiries on any subject;
yes?
A. I am looking at my notes, yes.

Q. And there was a drawer for answered letters; yes? You have
only got three drawers down for some reason, but there are
actually four there and I think it was the bottom one that
was answered ----
A. I probably have only described the three that are
actually marked in pen ---

Q. Right.
A. -- as one, two and three.

Q. There were not two McDonald's drawers. There was one
McDonald's drawer and one general letters drawer?
A. I do not recall. I have made a note of three
drawers. I am taking it, from reading that, that those
three drawers related to one, two and three on that side
and that is how I have described each drawer.

Q. But you have only got three drawers. So you have obviously
made some kind of mistake about it?
