Day 260 - 11 Jun 96 - Page 22
A. Yes.

Q. -- and asked for Dave to be, well, to say that Dave wanted
to know what was happening with the meeting the next
week ---
A. Yes.

Q. -- you say: "The whole matter was discussed yet again"?
A. Yes.

Q. I do not know whether this is a fair question to ask the
witness. But had you made a note of it earlier on in these
notes?
A. That which had been discussed up to that point in the
meeting was repeated for your benefit, because you arrived
not at the beginning of the meeting.

Q. It probably is not a fair question to the witness. The
point I am trying to make is that it appears that some of
the blanked out parts actually relate to that discussion
before I arrived, seeing as it says "the whole thing was
discussed yet again". I do not know if Mr. Rampton
can.....

Would that be correct, that you had actually made a note of
it in one of these parts that have been blanked out?
A. I cannot say.

Q. You cannot remember?
A. No.

Q. But, presumably, you would have made a note of it if there
had been a discussion?
A. I would assume so. That was my role at the meetings.

MS. STEEL: If we could ask for the blanked out parts to be
disclosed?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you need a decision on that to continue
with your cross-examination of Mr. Bishop?

MS. STEEL: I can carry on but -- I mean, I will carry on for
now.

(To the witness) You say: "As a result of being told the
content of the proposed meeting, a discussion of the
differences between anarchism and socialism, she telephoned
Dave Morris who had a long talk" -- sorry, it is actually
"Dave (Morris)". So you were not sure that it was
Mr. Morris?
A. No. In my initial briefing -- I may not have made this
clear -- I was not given your surnames initially.

Q. So, how did you get the impression that it was Morris?
A. I do not know.

Q. "...who had a long talk with Marion on the telephone." If
I suggest that it was not me who telephoned -- well, it was
not me who telephoned whoever it was -- but it was not me
who telephoned Dave, there does not appear to be much sense
