Day 277 - 10 Jul 96 - Page 22

Q. Maybe I am wrong, but I thought this was a piece of paper
-- we can look it up-- which said that 1990 was going to
be the fourth?
A. I don't think there was one in 1987 from what I have
seen of the documents.

Q. I could be wrong about that ... What about the one in 1988,
did you go to that?
A. I can't remember to be honest.

Q. But it is likely is it not?
A. It is possible but I certainly did not have anything to
do with organising it.

Q. But it is likely you were there do you not agree?
A. No, I do not agree it is likely, I say it is possible
that I went along to have a look at the stalls, or
something like that.

Q. Mr. Gravett, and I expect you remember, worked out -- he
would not accept, Mr. Morris -- but Mr. Gravett and I
worked out that in 1989 and 1990 there were roughly seven,
I think eight if you included Albert, regular, the word in
the leaflet was "activists", in London Greenpeace; is that
right?
A. In?

Q. In London Greenpeace?
A. In 1989 did you say?

Q. That is what Mr. Gravett and I agreed, in 1989, '90,
because those are the years that I have the names for. How
many do you think there were in 1988?
A. A lot more. When I started attending the meetings they
were in Endsleigh Street. They were around a big table,
there were generally twenty or thirty people at those
meetings.

Q. They were weekly at Endsleigh Street, were they not, at
that time?
A. They were, yes. The attendance started tailing off, I
think, when the group stopped meeting every week at
Endsleigh Street because it could not afford the room hire,
and then because there were meetings, because the meetings
were being held at Caledonian Road there was not so much
room and also it was not so pleasant for sitting around
discussing things.

Q. Do you remember how it was that you became interested in
London Greenpeace? I know what the subject was, but do you
remember who introduced you, who your contact was?
A. I knew lots of people who were going to London
Greenpeace, so, you know, it could have been any one of
them.

Q. Including Mr. Morris?
A. Mr. Morris, Mr. Gravett, somebody called Bob, I mean, I
am sure I knew dozens of people who had been involved with
London Greenpeace off and on over the years.
