be interested in helping with their correspondence and it
was later suggested by one of the people there that at a
later date it might be possible to have an office key cut
for me." So, "I said that I would be interested in helping
with their correspondence", that was your idea and you
volunteered to do it?
A. As far as I remember, yes. I say I made that
suggestion, but that is -- in looking back, that is in
reference to the suggestion that was made to me at the
Endsleigh Street meeting, that I was invited to arrive
early and I could help them with the answering of the
letters, with the mail.

Q. As we went through, that was after you had expressed
considerable interest in the group and sounded very keen in
-----
A. Yes, it was after; I do not know whether it was as a
result of -- I presume it probably was -- as a result, yes,
but I do not know if it was.

Q. OK. You note that there were ten people in the offices.
On the following page you say, "Client company was
mentioned occasionally in conversation, but no reference
was made to further specific action to be taken". Then it
goes on, "It was said that the group would probably go into
a bit of lull now after the anti-McDonald's fair". You
confirm that that was your recollection of what was said at
the meeting, yes?
A. Yes.

Q. You also refer to the group moving office. You recollect
that being a -- something that actually came up at quite a
lot of meetings?
A. I recollect it was something that was mentioned from
time to time. I do not recall the reasons for it now, but
I do remember it was something that came up.

Q. Right. Were you actually still involved with the group by
the time the group did move office, do you remember?
A. No, no, not that I recall. I do not recall any other
office other than the .....

Q. OK. There was also a major campaign against the
International Monetary Fund. You go on to say, in the
paragraph below that, that you noted "in one corner of the
room was a filing cabinet. The drawers on this were marked
IMF, Muckdonalds and Unilever". So, it appeared that the
group already had an interest, or -- sorry, it appeared
that those subjects were already something which the group
was dealing with?
A. Yes, yes. Prior to my attending the group meetings
there was -- there were on-going projects, so far as I was
aware.

Q. IMF, for example, was not something that suddenly -- the
IMF campaign was not something that suddenly sprung up at
this meeting when you referred to planning a major campaign
against the IMF. It was something that -----
