Day 185 - 07 Nov 95 - Page 50
A. I did not ask anybody, but nobody told me to leave.

Q. Was Chris Broom there at that time as well then?
A. I do not think he was there right in the morning. It
was later on in the afternoon he was, I think.

Q. He did the same as you, you did it together?
A. I think he was working that day actually for a shift,
the day.

Q. So he talked to people while he was ------
A. Not that I am aware of. He was not talking to anybody
while he was working, not that I am aware of.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you remember who was in charge of the
restaurant that day, who was managing the restaurant?
A. No, I do not remember, I do not.

MR. MORRIS: How many approximately did you phone that day --
that weekend?
A. Did I phone? Maybe 10.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: How many people were there in the restaurant
for you to speak to in the course of a day?
A. On a Saturday, probably close to 45 people probably,
45, 50 people,

MR. MORRIS: So you would have spoken to most of those then on
that day?
A. Whoever was there until I left, yes.

Q. Right. Everybody would have known what you were doing,
basically?
A. Sorry?

Q. Everybody would have known what you were doing, you were
not ashamed of it or anything like that, were you?
A. Well, no, I was not.

Q. So everyone would have known what you were doing?
A. Whoever talked to me they would. I do not know if they
would say anything to anybody else. We did not tell them
not to say anything, but whether they did or not, I do not
know.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That may be part of it, but what is being put
to you, there you were, you were not working a shift that
day?
A. No, I was not.

Q. You all knew each other, probably a lot of you had been at
school together?
A. I was not in school at that time. I was working during
the week.

Q. I appreciate that, but you live in a relatively small town?
A. Right.

Q. Everyone goes to the same high school at the right age?
A. Right.
