Q. So there is recycling of industrial polystyrene waste
produced in factories?
A. Yes.

Q. Is that polystyrene factories or polystyrene used in other
factories?
A. Polystyrene factories, primarily. It may be other
factories too but it is primarily polystyrene factories.
So if a distorted ----

Q. So a polystyrene factory (of which there are many) has the
ability to reuse off-cuts and different bits and pieces and
recycle it?
A. Well, it is not off-cuts and different bits and pieces,
as you put it. It would be rolls of polystyrene that had
not been coloured in any way, and may have been
miss-formed. That would then get reground down and reused
at a low percentage level as industrial polystyrene waste.
The polystyrene waste we have in the restaurants is
coloured, it is printed and it has contained food. That is
an entirely different matter.

MR. MORRIS: It might be convenient to break off there?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You want to break off there, do you?

MR. MORRIS: Yes.
