       know?
       A. I do not know. I do not know the exact number of days.

  Q. Few weeks, couple of months?
       A. All I know, they were from September -- no, from
October. I do not even know when we started going to
court. I think it was November 1st, actually. It might
have been November 1st that we started going -- that
Mr. Pugsley started going to court; and then it ended --
like, they stopped going to court at the beginning or
middle of February, I am not sure.

  Q. Right. So -----
       A. There was a lot of days off that they took because of
       Christmas, or whatnot.

  Q. OK. Did you ever inquire how much that cost?
       A. How much it was going to cost? No, I never inquired.

  Q. All that work by lawyers?
       A. No. My mom -----

  Q. You never inquired how much that cost?
       A. No.

  Q. You said something about your mum?
       A. Yes. My mom -- like, I was talking to her and I told
her, you know, I did not know how we were going to pay for
the lawyers, and she said if the worst came to the worst,
she would help us out by paying for them.

  Q. When you were attending the court hearings, you received
your pay, did you, from McDonald's for what you would have
       been scheduled for?
       A. I am sorry? We would have received -----

  Q. When you attended the -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You did ask about Miss Iurilla herself, but
just ask -- Mr. Morris is just asking you about your
personal position. How many days did you actually attend
       the hearing for?
       A. There was three or four.

  Q. Were you actually paid any wages by McDonald's during that
       time?
       A. No, no wages from McDonald's. I got paid -- the
lawyer, our lawyer gave me a letter saying that because
I was subpoenaed I would be receiving for every day I went
to court $102, which was like -- which was to cover for all
my costs like parking, food, and any hours I would be
losing at McDonald's. I believe it was $102. It could
have been more or less. I am pretty sure it was, though.
       It was around that figure.

MR. MORRIS: Where did the cheque come from for that $102?
       A. The -----

  Q. Who paid that?
       A. I cannot remember the name on it. Avis Ballantyne gave
