Day 179 - 30 Oct 95 - Page 45

       A. Well, probably the only thing going for it.

  Q. Is it -- and here I do make a suggestion -- a coincidence,
Mr. Gibney, that you and Mr. Alimi and Mr. Brett and
Mr. Harrison and Mrs. Harrison and Mr. Shafibeik are all
potential witnesses for the Defendants in this case?
       A. Yes, it must be, because I have had no contact with
Siamak Alimi or Adrian Brett in the last few years.

  Q. What about the Harrisons?
       A. Limited. They are local; I might bump into them in
       town, or something like that.

  Q. Did you six, as I put it -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you just pause a minute, please,
       Mr. Rampton? (Pause)

MR. RAMPTON: Did you six discuss your McDonald's experience
       after you had left?
       A. What, all at the same time, or -----

  Q. No, separately. You can only speak for yourself, of
       course.
       A. At times, we would speak of McDonald's, yes.

MR. RAMPTON: Thank you, Mr. Gibney.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you want to re-examine? Remember that you
do not ever have to re-examine. I suggest you only do so
if there is something you want to take up from
       cross-examination.

                   Re-examined by the Defendants

MS. STEEL: Yes. There is something I wanted to clarify.

(To the witness) Mr. Rampton just asked you: "Did all six
of you discuss your experience after you had left", and you
said: "What, all at the same time?" He said: "No,
separately." You said: "At times we would speak of
McDonald's, yes." Does that apply to all six of you; you
know, did you speak to all of those people after you had
left or just some of them, or what?
       A. Not Siamak, but the others.

  Q. Have you seen Siamak at all since he -----
       A. No.

  Q. No. Did you sit down and write your statement with these
other people, or did you do it on your own?
       A. No, on my own.

MR. MORRIS: Can I just say, do we have to deal with this,
because Mr. Rampton did not actually put anything -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have said it is entirely a matter for you.

MR. MORRIS: What I am saying is, he did not actually put
anything to the witness about it; he just made vague
