Day 265 - 19 Jun 96 - Page 37

       A. I have a recollection of only one Helen.

  Q. Then please turnover to a page with a 10 in the top
left-hand corner and the name Diana Coulinger (??). Do you
       see that?
       A. Yes I do.

  Q. My Lord, that is pages at the bottom variously 63 and 68.
And the last paragraph is the one I want to draw your
attention to. Reference is again made to the big meeting
on 25th January at 'biggies', in capital letters, at 6
Endsleigh Street. " This will be to discuss the future of
the group, the next antiMac fair and the future of the
       antiMac campaign". Is that right?
       A. That is correct sir.

  Q. Do you have any independent recollection of that?
       A. Other than my notes...

  Q. In fact, I do not think you went to that particular
       Endsleigh Street meeting yourself.
       A. I do not recall I did, no.

  Q. Can we move on then, please, to page 84 in that file?

  MR. MORRIS: Page?

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: 84.

MR. RAMPTON: 84, 16 at the top left-hand corner. Date, 22nd
February, 1990. Have you got that?
       A. Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: Here we see you have 7.30-10 o'clock and the word
       'meeting' in brackets?
       A. Yes, I have.

  Q. This was an Endsleigh Street meeting it looks like does it
       not?
       A. That is correct, sir.

  Q. And the topic was 'sexuality and revolution'. I am going
say a bit about 6 Endsleigh Street, and then at the bottom,
the last entry is this, you have put that you had to go
along, it is the penultimate entry, "you had to go along to
establish an interest in LGP activities." Pausing there,
Mr. Claire. How assiduous were you in, what shall I say,
in generating the impression that you were a keen activist
so far as the group's activities were concerned?
       A. Purely in attending the meetings that I could attend
at. Initially, my approach was to attend meetings
periodically and not to go in like a bull in a china shop,
basically. I think that is why, I recall, I did not go to
the first Endsleigh Street meeting that I have missed on
that occasion, but it was purely attending the 5 Caledonian
Road meetings, attending 6 Endsleigh Street meetings and,
on occasion, I think on one occasion, another activity.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is there an asterisk on the original which--
