Day 267 - 21 Jun 96 - Page 63
paid their poll tax?
A. It would have been to do with the anti-polltax
movement. I cannot recall exactly the sole purpose.

Q. Why did you go on that picket?
A. Because I wanted to, or I saw as an opportunity to
become a more accepted member of the group.

Q. So other people in the group went on that demonstration
then?
A. I have no idea.

Q. You do not remember?
A. I do not remember.

Q. And you never went on any antiMcDonald's demonstrations?
A. Not that I can recall, no.

Q. None of the ones that were organised by Hackney and
Islington Animal Rights?
A. I do not recall going to any antiMcDonald's.

Q. Not outside Dorston McDonald's or Seven Sisters McDonald's?
A. I do not recall going to any antiMcDonald's
demonstrations pickets.

Q. Did you go to the fair?
A. Sorry?

Q. Did you go to the fair?
A. No, I did not.

Q. Why not?
A. Because the fair, I believe, in 1989 was before I
became involved and I was pulled out before the 1990 fair.

Q. You were pulled out before service of the writs?
A. I believe that is right, yes.

Q. Was there somebody else from your company still going to
the meeting?
A. As far as I was aware at that time I was the only
investigator involved.

Q. What about with Bishops?
A. I do not know of any other investigators other than
since learning somebody went before me.

Q. So as far as you are aware there were not four
investigators who all had to be pulled out slowly in case
they got notice?
A. I had no knowledge of an other investigative company,
and/or investigators until, if my memory serves me
correctly, after service of the writs.

Q. I missed something out of the 1st March when I did that,
the notes of that meeting. In your first statement you
said that at 7,30 pm when you arrived a number of people
were present, including Helen Steel and David, who I now
know to be David Morris?
