Day 260 - 11 Jun 96 - Page 51

       A. Yes.

  Q. So, when they were going through it, did it appear that
they had already basically discussed it and these were
       their proposals?
       A. Yes. I believe they had been asked to do this for the
       group.

  Q. Do you remember anything specifically that was said about
the design of the leaflet by myself?
       A. I cannot say that I remember you specifically saying
       anything about the design, no.

  Q. Do you remember me saying anything specifically about any
of the organisations who were to have stalls at the fair?
       A. I cannot, after this length of time, say that
I remember the actual discussions, no.

MR. MORRIS: Is that the same about myself: can you remember
anything specific, apart from the organic beer?
       A. The only thing I specifically remember, whether it is
relevant or not, is the fact that I think you objected to
the -- on the poster, there is a star in the bottom
right-hand corner, advertising the fair on Saturday,
October 27th, and I believe before it became a star it was
something else, some other design; and I remember you
wanted it to be a star. That is the only thing
       I specifically remember.

  MR. MORRIS: Right.

MS. STEEL: I will not ask about the bit in brackets. I do not
understand it. On number 1, underneath there, there is
reference to there is going to be a picket of the
McDonald's restaurant in Seven Sisters Road ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- on Saturday, 4th August. You have referred in other
places to Jane being involved with Hackney and Islington
Animal Rights, and Paul and other people?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Would you accept that that was a picket that was organised
by Hackney and Islington Animal Rights that was being
brought up at the London Greenpeace meeting just letting
people know what is going on, a coming event?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you know?
       A. No.

MS. STEEL: Do you know, are you in a position to
       specifically -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you know one way or the other?
       A. No, I do not know one way or the other.

MS. STEEL: You have mentioned about, basically, the meetings
at Caledonian Road were kind of working meetings or admin
meetings, however you want to describe it. So, in
paragraph 13 of your statement -----
