Day 295 - 06 Nov 96 - Page 26

MR. MORRIS: The situation, at the moment, if I explain the
situation, I have not got that much left.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: No.

MR. MORRIS: If I was very well organised I would probably be
able to have done it by quarter past one or something, but
because I am a little bit disorganised on it -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What do you want to do?

MR. MORRIS: It might be helpful to be able to finish now and
come back after lunch, or whatever time you think is
appropriate, and then it should not take more than half an
hour, I should not have thought.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: All right. Will you want to say something,
       Ms. Steel?

MS. STEEL: I don't think so, but -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It will not be very long?

  MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What do you want to do? Break off until two
o'clock or until quarter to two?

MR. MORRIS: Two would be good.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will resume at two o'clock.

                        (Luncheon Adjournment)

MR. MORRIS: Basically it is just going through some documents
and some references in no particular sensible order. Some
references, Dr. Pattison referred to growth promoters and
chickens, day 90, page 43. Mr. Bowes referred to
Clembuterol being used up to 1989/1990, day 96, page 58.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just take these slowly. That day again?

MR. MORRIS: Day 96, page 58.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: A reference of Mr. Oakley, day 61, page 68, line
52, a note saying that Clembuterol is still used, but it
might be worth checking that. I am just sort of basically
going through so I do not miss anything.

Also with Mr. Oakley, talking about pesticides and
fertilizers for potatoes, and I think that is when he
talked about lettuce as well, and I do have an extract
somewhere, if I can find it. Anyway, definitely about
potatoes, he said it may become an issue in the future.
And another quote, there was an excess usage, that is what
       we found.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Did you say you had the reference for that?
