  Q. What is Evicola?
       A. Evicola is one of the largest chicken companies in
       Costa Rica.

  Q. How does it go on?
       A. This is a resumé, a summary, from Paula Montecillos(?)
who was at that time our QA manager and myself, from what
we have seen and from our recollection.

  Q. This is dated, it looks like -----
       A. It says: "Greetings, thanks" and those are his
       initials, "Rodolfo Madrigal".

  Q. This looks as though the date is, I think at any rate,
12th December 1992; it might be February or is it
       2nd December 1992?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. Which way round do the Spanish speakers in Costa Rica write
their dates, in the American form or the European form?
       A. Most of Latin America they go first by the day, the
months and the year, but when they write in English they
use the English version of month, day and year.

  Q. Yes, but that is not English -- that is American!
       A. But they are all about the same date.

  Q. At the end of 1992, are they not?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. Is this from Costa Rica sent before the management changes,
Coope Montecillos, which you described this morning?
       A. From the statement that I read here, that was the first
management change then there were two other subsequent
       changes after that.

  Q. Can we then turn over to the next tab which is O which is
Uruguay, is that right; it looks like it?
       A. Yes.

  Q. I have nothing to ask you about that, except to note that
they get their chickens from Brazil, it looks like, does it
       not?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. Then the next one is, I think, Panama?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Panama is it?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. The fax reads: "Attach is the meat slaughter form that you
requested. Basically the information was given by our
suppliers". Signed by Sandra Robles. It says:
"Postcript: Our sausage suppliers (Swift) do not have
their own slaughterhouse". Have you visited Panama?
       A. Yes, I have on four or five occasions.

  Q. Then I have nothing to ask you about that. They have no
