Day 268 - 24 Jun 96 - Page 35
Mr. Pocklington because your Lordship on Friday said they
should tell us by Monday morning and tell us if they want
them, how long they are likely to be.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What is the position?

MS. STEEL: Well, I am still concerned about this point. I do
not really know what the best thing to do is. Whether or
not, I mean, if the Plaintiffs would admit that you know,
basically withdraw that as part of their case, that the
leaflets being printed by me on that occasion; their
allegation that they were about the fair, when I say that
they were for the IMF which is backed up by the notes of
the recent, in the recent-----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let us take it step by step. That was Mr.
Bishop, was it?

MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, I suggest you merely say you want Mr.
Bishop recalled. It is only in relation to that point, but
if an admission which you find is satisfactory in relation
to that is made, then you will not require his recall, but
the point is you want him recalled to put that to him--

MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Unless the admission is made. So that is the
state of play at the moment. What about Mr. Pocklington?

MS. STEEL: I am pretty sure there is nothing there.

MR. MORRIS: No.

MR. ATKINSON: You do not want him recalled?

MR. MORRIS: No.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think what you have got to -- that is
right, is it?

MS. STEEL: I do not remember anything that I wanted to ask him
about. I had actually forgotten we were supposed to be
doing this point. I did read them and I do not remember
anything sticking in my mind, I want to ask Mr. Pocklington
about that.

MR. ATKINSON: The only problem is that Mr. Pocklington could
come on Wednesday and that was what your Lordship was
envisaging. Obviously, if he is to come, we need to tell
him.

MS. STEEL: OK. Well, if we can assume he is not coming unless
I telephone Mrs. Brindley-Codd to tell her that I do want
him.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I will say to make it formal, although
it sounds much fiercer than it is meant to be. If you do
not tell Mrs. Brindley-Codd, I will say by 10.30 tomorrow
