Day 262 - 13 Jun 96 - Page 30

including a range of leaflets including the anti-McDonald's
leaflet in an envelope and sending these to the group or
       individuals who had written."

Were you also helping out with that, as well?
       A. I do not recall on that occasion doing so.

  Q. You do not remember. Do you remember which leaflet it was,
       you know, which version?
       A. Yes, I understand that. At this time, I do not
       remember, no.

MR. MORRIS: You do not remember of those three people -- Alan,
Jane and Dave -- were dealing with which letters? Did you
actually read any of the letters ---
       A. I do not remember.

  Q. -- or see, you know, any of the answers or anything like
       that?
       A. I do not remember.

  Q. Was it not a bit funny, you hanging around not answering
       any letters?
       A. Funny? How?

  Q. Well, peculiar. Did people not think that might be a bit
peculiar, you not answering any letters?
       A. I do not really see why. It was not a particularly big
desk. It would not necessarily be practical for everybody
to. But I do not recall whether I did or not. I may have
       done.

  Q. You do not remember how many each of those people answered?
       A. I do not remember.

  Q. They just seemed to be there?
       A. What did?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: He is saying about his recollection now. It
is quite clear throughout there were occasional things
which -- there are some things which Mr. Pocklington can
remember now, but he has said in answer to many questions,
when he is asked about whether he can remember something
       now, no, he cannot.

MR. MORRIS: This is one of those occasions you just cannot
       remember?
       A. I cannot remember, yes.

  Q. Sorry?
       A. Yes, it is, yes. I cannot remember.

  Q. You have made notes a number of times about people stating
who organised or was involved in the organisation of the
fair you attended. Do you remember? It has been referred
to, as we have gone through the notes you have made,
so-and-so was said to have done 75 per cent of the
organisation of the fair. That is Paul Gravett, I think.
At the fair, you made notes of people who seemed to be
       organising the fair; yes?
