  Q. He cut down the number of hours on the average shift, did
       he not?
       A. He never cut down mine. I do not know about other
people's but he never cut down my hours.

  Q. Can you remember what your average shift length was when
you worked before you became Swing Manager? Did you always
work the same kind of chunk as a shift? Did it tend to be
three and a half hours, four and a half hours or six and a
       half hours?
       A. It always varied, your schedule always varied. Mostly,
I got usually three and a half and four and a half. Those
were the major shifts of mine.

  Q. But there were some six hour shifts?
       A. Six and a half hour shifts, yes. Yes, there were some.

  Q. Apart from Northern Reflections, have you ever done any
       other substantial jobs?
       A. I had a catering job but that was only for the first
six months I worked at McDonald's, but I only did the
catering once every two months. I only did it three times,
       so no.

  Q. It was not a particularly substantial job?
       A. No.

  Q. Have you ever been active in a trade union apart from this
disputed matter here? Have you ever been active in a trade
union elsewhere, at any other place where you have worked?
       A. With a union?

  Q. Yes.
       A. No, nothing, no.

  Q. Apart from this issue that we are talking about of the
unionisation of McDonald's, you do not have any experiences
       with unions at all?
       A. Not really.

  Q. Is everything that you have learned about unions basically
to do with that one experience, this one experience?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: When Mr. Morris referred to trade unions, you
queried it saying "union"; do you use the phrase "trade
union" at all in Canada or do you just refer to unions?
       A. As far as I know, from what my experiences are, I just
       refer to them as unions.

  Q. Yes. It is the same thing?
       A. OK. Thank you.

MR. MORRIS: Sorry, can I just sit down for a moment?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Shall we have the break there? Is five
minutes enough or do you want more?
