into a monthly summary because it is just too much
paperwork. That is the way we do it.

MR. MORRIS: Obviously our interest is to have information that
can go to the truth and the monthly -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I understand that, but we are not going to
find the document with the headline across the top "This is
the truth". You have to specify just what document it is
which you would like and which you think might be helpful
to an issue one way or another which is why I have asked
       the questions I have.

MS. STEEL: Can I just suggest the summary for January 1994
which was when Mr. Jackson visited, August 1994 which is
when Mr. North visited and then June or July 1992?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: 92 or 93?

MS. STEEL: 1992. He said they were kept for two years or
something. I suppose they might not still be and, well,
the old ones thigh have got ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The first ones still available.

MS. STEEL: Also it would be helpful to have something from
within the last week to show the daily tests so that we can
see that because the ones that were disclosed ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are you confident you would have, say, the 20
documents which were done in relation to McDonald's
products either at Hereford or Orleon?

THE WITNESS: When would I be?

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

THE WITNESS: If I can make some phone calls today I can
possibly get it arranged possibly to have them maybe for
       tomorrow.

MS. STEEL: I do not know whether it is possible to get better
copies of the ones that are in tab 8.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That is another problem. If you care to talk
to Mrs. Brinley-Codd or Mr. Atkinson about that. Yes,
       Mr. Rampton.

MR. RAMPTON: I do not think, my Lord if your Lordship will
forgive me, it would be appropriate to argue any question
of principle at this hour and without notice. I do not
make any concession in relation to the question whether, as
a matter of law, your Lordship has any power to order
McDonald's to disclose such documents, they being documents
in the possession of Sun Valley. What I did say the other
day was, and I adhere to this, more so in the light of what
Dr. Pattison has said, that we would make a courtesy
enquiry of both McKey and Sun Valley, no one else, just
those two, to see whether they would be willing to produce
a limited range of relevant documents. I can see the
