Day 313 - 13 Dec 96 - Page 60
into court if Mr. Rampton asks me to, and I suggest it be
at 10.30 on the Thursday morning, rather than the Friday
where you, Mr. Morris, are in difficulty anyway, and I will
come back just to hear anything Mr. Rampton wants to say on
that.

I am not encouraging a request for me to return to court
because I think it is probably completely unnecessary, but
I can just put your further submissions with my papers and
read them in due course.

In case, therefore, we do not need to return to court,
I will say now that I propose to reserve my judgment! It
will take me some time to write it. I do not mean to be
difficult when I say I do not know when I will deliver it
because I do not know when I will deliver it. Mr. Glen has
told me that he has seen reports in some newspapers that it
is anticipated this month or early next year. All I can
say is that that is not so. It will not be at the
beginning of next year, or early next year. It will take
me longer than that. But I propose to say no more because
at this stage I think it no more useful information on when
it will be. Mr. Glen will communicate with all the parties
when I know when I will be able to give judgment and we
will arrange a date to return to court which is convenient
to all the parties. Thank you.

(The court adjourned until a convenient date for judgment
to be handed down)
