  Q. Whether you are in the city or in the suburbs?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. They also, it appears, did all the McDonald's -- no, not
all -- they did 118, if you look at 1477, of McDonald's
       restaurants in the Philadelphia area?
       A. Yes.

  Q. There they came out with a difference of, I cannot do it,
       is it 17 ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- for the whole of those 118 restaurants. Finally,
page 1478, again median entry rates for all those 118
restaurants, the exact equivalent of $4 between the suburbs
       and the city?
       A. Yes, that is correct, sir.

                        (Short Adjournment)

MR. RAMPTON: If we go to Madrid, Mr. Stein -- my Lord, this is
(iii) on page 9; it is cent passage 37 in the Abstract on
page 17 of tab 7. The allegation, Mr. Stein, reads as
follows: "On 30th January 1986, the Plaintiffs" -- and
I ask you to remember those words "the Plaintiffs" --
"sacked four workers in Madrid, Spain, who had called a
meeting on 24th January 1986 to request the holding of
union elections in the Plaintiffs' establishment at
       Grandevia in Madrid.

The Madrid labour court found that the Plaintiffs had acted
illegally and ordered the employees' reinstatement without
the option of compensation. The Plaintiffs then
transferred 20 employees from the Grandevia unit to other
restaurants." Mr. Stein, do you remember an event in
Madrid in 1986 or, as I think it may be, 1987?
       A. Yes, I do.

  Q. Was it 86 or was it 87, not that it may matter very much?
       A. I thought it was 87. I thought it was, like, November
       or something.

  Q. Never mind. Was there a restaurant, a McDonald's
       restaurant, at Grandevia ---
       A. Grandevia, yes, sure.

  Q. -- Madrid at that time? By whom was that restaurant owned?
       A. There was a joint venture partnership in Spain; our
       partner was Camillo Mira.

  Q. A question I should have asked you yesterday and forgot to
do: You said that the Company, the Corporation, has a
stake in a joint venture partnership. What is the nature
       of that stake or partnership?
       A. Financial.

  Q. Does it own the premises?
       A. The partnership would own the premises.

  Q. Does the Corporation in such circumstances have any
