Day 192 - 27 Nov 95 - Page 10

       A. Yes; in that week, anyway.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, in fact, Miss Inglis had said she
worked there until June 1994; and she was still working
there, clearly, when she wrote the statement ---

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- if one looks at the last sentence.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. It has to be before 12th April 1994, because
that is when I received it. So -----

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Right.

MR. MORRIS: Now, the second statement. Can you just tell us,
Miss Inglis, about the article that appeared in Our Times?
       Who wrote the article?
       A. I wrote the article with another writer. It was
actually an interview done, and then I went back and wrote
it with him. But it was mainly myself that wrote it, from
       my own words.

MR. MORRIS: Right. I will read out the bits that I have
       underlined.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just pause a moment. It is not, as such, a
statement, but you are content that that course be taken,
are you, to save time, Mr. Rampton?

MR. RAMPTON: In due course, one will have to explore with both
these statements what is actually admissible evidence and
what is not. Aside from that, I do not ------

MR. JUSTICE BELL: But in the first instance you are content
       that Mr. Morris reads parts?

  MR. RAMPTON: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, Mr. Morris. June/July 1994.

MR. MORRIS: (To the witness): This was published in Canada,
       was it?
       A. Yes.

  Q. "Working at McDonald's was my first job. I started in
April of 1991. I was 14. The first thing I was trained on
was the counter - orienting the food on the tray, and
making the customers happy, and smiling. There's a lot
more to a counterperson's job than what you see. They
don't let you rest. As soon as you're done with your
customer you can help somebody else out with another order
or you can stock up, or you can clean, but just don't
stop. It is like you're a robot.

"Under the management that was there when I first went to
work at McDonald's, it was fine. You were treated with
respect. Things were done as fairly as they possibly could
be done. And when Cam Ballantyne - the second owner -
first came in, I had a good rapport with him. I don't know
