Day 122 - 05 May 95 - Page 53

  Q. Still on page 3.
       A. OK.

  Q. About the Hackney and East Ham meetings?
       A. Yes.

  Q. It says: "These were not formal rap sessions but were
informal meetings to which all crew were invited". Did you
say how the crew were invited to these meetings?
       A. Oh, I left that to the local store management.

  Q. So that was not anything to do with you?
       A. No.

  Q. So do you actually know whether all crew were invited?
       A. No.

  Q. In case this does come up again, in your fifth affidavit of
14th December 1994 in relation to crew statistics -----
       A. Can you tell me which?

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Tab 5.

MS. STEEL: I was going to read the whole paragraph.
       A. Tab 5?

  Q. I do not know what tab it is.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That is 14th December 1994.
       A. Yes.

MS. STEEL: In relation to crew statistics on full and part-time
workers you said: "There are no documents for 1989. The
information contained in my statement was gleaned from a
       fortnightly computer report".

MR. RAMPTON: Wait a minute. One ought to read the intervening
paragraph: "Not monthly as stated in my statement".

MS. STEEL: We have already covered that this morning. I am not
quite sure what point Mr. Rampton is making.

MR. RAMPTON: There was a good deal of cross-examination about
why that error occurred in the statement. In fact, that
error has been acknowledged as long ago as December 1994.

MS. STEEL: That still does not stop us from asking why it
       occurred.

MR. MORRIS: It is not acknowledged it is an error.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do not have an argument about it. Just put
what you want to put about this. Put what you want to put
       on page 2.

MS. STEEL: "The information contained in my statement was
gleaned from a fortnightly computer report generated by the
Company's Accounts Department. Each report gives a
detailed breakdown of the hours worked by all crew members
in each of the Company's restaurants." Where you have
