Day 192 - 27 Nov 95 - Page 42

       A. I believe so, yes.

  Q. In the build-up to the vote?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Was this given to all the staff, or what?
       A. It was -- we gave them out as many as we could. We put
them in the boys' and the girls' changing rooms, we put
them in the crew room, we posted them on the bulletin
board. So we tried to make it as public as possible, make
people know as much as possible.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: So, this was put on the bulletin board, as
       well?
       A. Yes. I think it was -- it used to be in different
coloured paper. That was put up there.

  Q. Never mind. But there is no suggestion that you were not
allowed to put this up on the bulletin board?
       A. In the vote contract, there was -- it was negotiated.

  Q. Yes, I understand that. But you were, in fact, allowed to
       do that?
       A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: It would have been illegal not to allow you to do
       that; is that correct?
       A. Through the vote, yes -- through the contract of a
       vote, yes.

  Q. Without having to go into details on this, do you feel it
is -- what is your view of this as a accurate or not
accurate portrayal of what the union was intending to
       achieve?
       A. I am sorry. I missed -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You are just being asked is this accurate,
       the contents of this?
       A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: It summarises what the union actually did want to
       achieve?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Thank you. I have finished with that. You mentioned the
pizza party where the intervenors' leaflet was handed out
and explained, and you counted it. Was there any other
aspect of the pizza party which you remember?
       A. The pizza party was in Sabina's kitchen, and after that
we went up to her room -- I guess it would be -- and she
had a VCR set up with a television; and they showed a
video. They had -- obviously, a union supporter -- they
had a paper bag over their head, and it said "union" on it,
and it showed people beating it, like, kicking it around
and shoving it around. It was violence towards pro-union
people; that is what it was.

  Q. Do you know who made this video?
       A. Ralph Carina.
