Q. You said that you had checked back for any relevant
documents to do with exports to USA, yes, for -----
A. That involved our division, that I can only have access
to, yes, I have. There are some documents to which I have
no access. There are some documents that are other meat
plants that supply to the US that I know nothing about.
There is a division of Coope Montecillos that exports to
the US, and I have never asked or requested any information
about those. I have only been involved on the supplier,
that is, the McDonald's side of the business, and the Coope
Montecillos that supplies the McDonald's side of the
business.

Q. So when you say you have searched for documents to check
the allegations, you are saying that you did not check or
you were not allowed to check the department that exported
to the US, that division?
A. The division that is not McDonald's division, I have no
control over that.

Q. What is that division called?
A. The same -- Coope Montecillos.

Q. So did they say you could not have access to those
documents?
A. No. I never did ask for that information, because it
is none of my business.

Q. But if McDonald's was concerned to have access to those
documents, then the supplier would show them to you, yes?
A. That is up to them. I do not know.

Q. It is part of your conditions as a buyer, is it not, to
have access to relevant documents?
A. No, it is not. It is only to documents that are
related to our side of the business.

Q. If you are checking to see if a company supplies in other
countries, not directly to McDonald's, not patties, then in
order to check that, you would have to have access to that
particular section, would you not -- the export section, or
whatever?
A. I have never asked a supplier for what kind of business
they do on their side that is not related to McDonald's,
unless they bring it up. It is none of my business. It is
none of the company's business to get into other
companies. We have no control over what they do,
absolutely, whatsoever. If we ask and they said, "Yes", we
might see it; if they said, "No", they have that right;
that is their choice.

Q. They may or may not have the right, but you did not even
ask them, did you?
A. No. I have said it before, it is none of my business,
what they do on the other side of the business.

Q. So, in fact, it is possible then, bearing in mind that you
have not had access to those documents, that they did
export to people in the USA that supplied McDonald's but
