Day 263 - 14 Jun 96 - Page 46
immediately in mind. You have made the point that although
it is Endsleigh Street, it does not appear to be a public
meeting.

MR. MORRIS: I dealt with that, basically. There did not seem
to be any members of the public there. That is the main
point.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is there anything else? That is what I am
asking.

MR. MORRIS: Not on that one, no. That is fine.

(To the witness) You have talked about the nature of the
group and about individuals and people being friendly and
open and whatever. I take it you did not share the views
of the people at the meetings?
A. There was a wide variety of views expressed. I shared
some of them, I did not share others.

Q. Did you get the impression that people believed in the
views that they expressed?
A. Yes, I would say that most people believed in what they
were expressing.

Q. And that they believed that material they were circulating
was true?
A. Yes. I never heard anything to suggest otherwise.

Q. That went for me and Helen, from what you remember from us?
A. Yes, yes.

Q. You reported that you had taken part in doing mail-out,
yes?
A. Yes.

Q. Did you ever get any feedback from Kings about that,
saying, "That is a good thing to do, keep doing it", or,
"Do not do that, stop it immediately", or anything like
that?
A. I was never told to stop it; otherwise I would not have
attended and taken part in those mail-out sessions. But
I do not think I ever heard anything to suggest I was doing
anything wrong. Each attendance I made was at the
instruction of Kings; it was not my own decision, so....

Q. So they were evaluating what you were doing, and, as far as
they were concerned, they were satisfied?
A. They never told me they were dissatisfied.

Q. They kept instructing you to carry on doing similar things
that you were doing, whatever it was?
A. That is correct, yes.

MS. STEEL: I do not think we have many questions left,
actually.

Did you ever take any letters that had been sent to the
group or anything belonging to the group?
A. I do not think so. I do not ever recall taking
