Day 277 - 10 Jul 96 - Page 50
Q. And you really would not stop at anything beyond physical
violence, I am not suggesting that, or destruction of
property perhaps, but beyond that you would not stop at
anything to see McDonald's smashed in the sense that I have
suggested, would you?
A. I don't know what you are referring to, but if you are
referring to would I just pump out any old rubbish.

Q. I am referring to that--
A. As long as it was going to damage McDonald's the answer
is, no. I have always believed that when you are
campaigning against a company or on a particular issue it
is very important to be truthful and to put only that which
you believe to be true.

Q. Right. Well, we will come back to that answer a bit later
on. Can we have a look, please, at the agent's notes? I
want to start with the 26th October 1989 which, my Lord, is
pages 16 and 18 from Mr. Pocklington and 25C and D for the
anonymous person from Bishops.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I would like to do a bit of deck clearing.
Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: 16, Ms. Steel, page 16 is Mr. Pocklington's
account of this meeting. Can I just ask you to glance
through it before I ask a question? (Pause)
A. Yes.

Q. There are only three people mentioned by name. Paul
Gravett gets his full name, that is misspelt, Dave Morris
is mentioned, it is accepted it is him, and then there is
Albert towards the bottom of the second page?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you remember whether or not you were at that meeting?
A. I don't remember.

Q. You do not?
A. No.

Q. Can I ask you to turn -- and this I am not going to read
out -- please to 25B?
A. B?

Q. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: What is this again?

MR. RAMPTON: It is type written. It is the Bishop report which
is dated 6th November 1989.

MR. MORRIS: Bishop. You mean Brian Bishop?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: He has already said, Mr. Morris, that it is
the anonymous person.

MR. MORRIS: On what page is that report?

MR. RAMPTON: 25B, it starts 25A. Can I ask you, Miss Steel,
