Day 272 - 02 Jul 96 - Page 63

       A. He sometimes goes on, yes. He used to go on about the
history of the group and the 1980's in particular, stopped
the city, the miner's strike, Wapping.

  Q. He likes a platform, does he not?
       A. He likes telling people coming along what the group
was and what it had done, you know.

  Q. And in his view, meetings would tend to be taken now quite
       seriously, would they not?
       A. No more so than other regular attenders. In fact,
even less so at this period because there were people
turning up new to the group then who hardly knew him
because he was coming so infrequently. I had known him for
several years, but that was different.

  Q. And I have added Albert, so that makes, if you will not
accept Mr. Morris, six now we have got, with Albert. Helen
       Steel from 1988 onwards?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Well, that makes seven. Are there any that I do not know
about? I do not ask you to give their names because I am
not interested in their names, but, for example, Jeff
Shepherd or any others that you would want to add to that
       list of seven?
       A. Well, I would not have added Jeff in 1989.

  Q. You would not?
       A. No.

  Q. You would not?
       A. Possibly Charlie.

  Q. Possibly Charlie?
       A. Yes, I think I would.

  Q. What about the lady called Ingrid; was she is member of the
       group in '89?
       A. Yes, she was, on and off. I do not think I would have
included her as an active member.

  Q. So it may well be less than a dozen?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Right. Now we can move on. In fairness to you, I think
perhaps I ought to draw your attention to the next
paragraph in this document, which has, in my case, 131
       stamped on the bottom.
       A. Yes.

  Q. I hope of yours too. It says:

"Many groups have used our famous fact sheet, What's Wrong
With McDonald's, Everything They Do Not Want You to Know,
as the basis for their own leaflet and we will supply a
copy on receipt of a large stamped addressed envelope.
Please do not request large quantities because we do not
have many ourselves and cannot pay the printing bills.
There are two groups who will print leaflets for local
