1 A. I told them to get to the bottom of this leaflet and
find out what they could -- end of story -- I did not get
2 any more specific than that.
3 Q. They did follow people home though, did they not?
A. I do not know.
4
Q. Did you instruct them to steal letters from the Greenpeace
5 office?
A. I do not instruct people to steal.
6
Q. Are you aware they did steal letters from the Greenpeace
7 officer?
A. I am not aware they stole anything.
8
Q. You have not spoken to your solicitors about this?
9 A. About stealing? No, I have not spoken to my
solicitors about anyone stealing anything.

24 A. Currently?
25 Q. Yes.
A. It is about £3.00, I am going to say £3.10 maybe,
26 £3.00, about £3.10 an hour, and the weighted average
hourly rate in the UK today is about £3.70, I believe,
27 plus four weeks holiday, plus food, plus uniforms, plus
after a period of service private medical insurance and,
28 in some cases again following a term of service, life
assurance programmes as well.
29
Q. But the basic take home pay per hour for a starting
30 employee is £3.00?
A. I said roughly £3.10; it might be £3.20. I am not
