surrounding those that are involved. But, as far as that
affects the United States and the area I am supervising,
there is no system that I get this kind of information.

  Q. Yes. Presumably, there is no system that you would use to
pass on information where something happened in the United
States to other countries, otherwise you would know about
       it, would you not?
       A. I am not personally part of any system that does that
       from my perspective.

  Q. You are speaking for your department?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. If a ruling body, not ruling body, a statutory body or a
responsible body, made a ruling that a judgment of some
kind suppressing one of your ads in the US or in any
country, you would not show the ad again; is that correct?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. Why would you not show it again?
       A. If a ruling body of authority said not to show it
       again ---

  Q. Yes?
       A. -- we would not show it again.

  Q. Why?
       A. Because they had ruled that way.

  Q. But why would you obey that rule?
       A. Because they are a regulatory body within the country
       that made the rule.

  Q. Yes, but is not the point, Mr. Green, that these people are
protecting the public interest against deceptive
advertising and is it not more of interest -- does the
corporation want to use deceptive advertising?
       A. Absolutely not.

  Q. So you would be glad, would you not, to be criticised and
       to amend your advertising?
       A. If, in fact, the criticism was correct, and it was
ruled in that way, we would be more than glad to follow,
       yes.

MR. MORRIS: Could we have the five-minute break?

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, certainly.

                           (Short Adjournment)

MR. MORRIS: Just a couple of other international advertising
things: Do you happen to know about some legal sanctions
against the use of ronald mcdonald in Sweden regarding
links with him being used as a bait for children?
       A. Is it on this page or is this something different?

  Q. It is not on any page.
       A. Can you repeat that?
