Day 127 - 23 May 95 - Page 12

MS. STEEL: Before you break, I want to say you said the
"Defendants" disclosed a document; it should have been the
       "Plaintiffs".

MR. RAMPTON: Also your Lordship said "next" Wednesday and it
should have been "last" Wednesday, but those things can be
       picked up.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, those slips of tongue can easily be
       corrected.

MS. STEEL: The other thing, I just wanted to say you said that
it does not affect me that Mr. Morris will not be able to
attend, but it strikes me that I am being expected to
deliver the transcripts to Mr. Morris who lives over a mile
away from me and to take instructions from him on what
questions he wants to ask; I just think that is not
       possible for me to do.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, that is not expected of you. Mr. Morris
must make his own arrangements to get hold of his copy of
the transcripts and the CaseView lap top which is available
to him. It is not incumbent upon you to consult Mr. Morris
about the cross-examination. That is entirely a matter of
your choice. All I wish to indicate is that if you did
wish to take advantage of talking to Mr. Morris about
       cross-examination and further cross-examination, that
       should be easy to achieve.

MS. STEEL: Perhaps in the light of their desire to be
incredibly helpful, the Plaintiffs would like to reconsider
their decision not to deliver the transcripts. I am sure
it would be helpful if they would take that up.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That is not a matter for me to decide. I
will rise now and we will resume with Mrs. Barnes' evidence
       at quarter to 12.

                       (Short adjournment)

       the West Midlands?
       A. It is now at the East Finchley address in London.

  Q. When you made your statement you were in the Midlands and
now you are in London; is that right?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. The Sutton Coldfield address is the headquarters of the
       Midlands region for McDonald's?
