  Q. So he would be one of these people that go and rescue
animals from wherever they may be, is that right?
       A. I presume so.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: He is also wearing a balaclava helmet.

MR. RAMPTON: Yes, he is, my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you remember, Miss Steel?
       A. I don't, to be honest. I do remember the pig.

MR. RAMPTON: Balaclava helmet, and looks like a combat jacket
of some kind. Can you turn, please, to photograph 7 and
you see the poster on the bottom of the door is the same
       poster?
       A. Yes, it is the same one, yes.

  Q. Same one, yes. Can you look at the letter racks or the
       wooden drawers?
       A. Yes.

  Q. I wrote down when you were cross-examining, I think it was,
Mr. Clare that the drawer order starting somebody has
written a 1, was that on the original drawer or was that
something that the agents have written?
       A. I think it was on the original drawer.

  Q. Drawer one, I think you suggested, was your general
       letters; is that right
       A. Yes.

  Q. Draw 2 was McDonald's letters?
       A. I think so, yes.

  Q. Drawer 3 was other interests of the group, or letters
       concerning other interests?
       A. Yes.

  Q. And the bottom one was letters which had been answered?
       A. Yes. I mean, I know the top two were in the right
position. The reason I said 'I think so' about them is
that there was one McDonald's drawer and there was one
other campaigns drawer, but I not know which order they
       were particularly in.

  Q. Well, the question I have is, why does McDonald's get a
       drawer to itself?
       A. Because, as I said before, in terms of public response
the anti-McDonald's campaign was the one in which, well, it
was the one that was the most popular, the one that there
was the greatest response from the public about. In terms
of the letters that were read out at meetings, there were
always more about McDonald's than other subjects.

  Q. Do you remember that much earlier in this case and long
before the trial began, I think on 1st March 1993, you
       affirmed some answers to interrogatories?
       A. Yes.
