Day 250 - 15 May 96 - Page 48
A. No.

MR. MORRIS: You said wads of leaflets were in the hold-all,
people picking them up, handing them out?
A. Yes.

Q. But that, presumably, was all the various different types
of leaflets, whatever they were, being kept?
A. The first time I saw anyone pick up leaflets was when
I first went to the thing, there was a large group of bags,
haversacks, I think there was a cardboard, someone came
across and picked up some leaflets.

Q. By that wall?
A. No, no, these were in the middle of the pavement. It
was a large collection of bags and things at one point, and
I saw someone come there, open one of the hold-alls and
take out some leaflets.

Q. Right.
A. Yes.

Q. What I am saying is that you did not see the nature of all
the different types of leaflets that were in the hold-all?
A. No, I did not see in any of the hold-alls really.

Q. Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You do not know, as I understand it, whether
there were ----
A. No.

Q. -- lots of different times of leaflets?
A. No. I now know there were two, because the next day
Mr. Carroll had been handed a different type of leaflet,
simply the content was more or less the same, the cartoons
were more or less the same, but it was a different type of
leaflet.

MR. MORRIS: Right. So, if somebody picked a wad of leaflets in
the hold-all it could have included more than one type of
leaflet?
A. Yes, it could have included anything.

Q. Right.

MR. MORRIS: The only reason you know this is the leaflet
complained of is from the front cover -- this one here,
this is about the same distance?
A. Sure, yes.

Q. Yes?
A. Yes. I have never seen any of the leaflets with that
frontispiece other than that one.

Q. Right.
A. If you know what I mean, the whole frontispiece with
that document, that is the only leaflet ----

Q. You did not follow any member of the public up the road and
