MR. RAMPTON: An interesting line of hypothesis, one might
almost call it speculation, I do not know, that the
parallel between, as it were, the incidences of heart
disease and of certain kinds of cancer might be found in
the damage done by diet to the endothelium. I do not
know. I just wondered whether the Swedish Congress
canvassed any possibilities of that kind?
       A. They certainly did not.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Could you pick up a phone or someone in your
department and ring whoever it was who invited you to that
symposium and see if they have a copy?
       A. I will certainly could do that, otherwise I will be
happy to remove it from my evidence.

MR. RAMPTON: Perhaps we can forget Sweden for the moment. One
of your references that I do not have is No. 6 by
O'Connor, Robuck, Peterson and Campbell, 1985: "Effect of
dietary intake of fish oil and fish protein in the
       development of
... lesions in the pancreas. Journal of the National
Cancer Institute". That I do not have. I wonder again,
Professor Crawford, whether in the light of what you have
now said about fish and fish oil it really matters.

MS. STEEL: You should have been given a copy of that this
       morning.

MR. RAMPTON: Maybe I should. I have got Ready and Ready but
       not I think O'Connor.

MS. STEEL: I can make a copy of that. I did think I gave the
       Plaintiffs a copy.

MR. RAMPTON: Not so, but it does not matter as long as I get
one. I believe we now have the whole of the Scottish
publication and the whole of the, is it, British Nutrition
       Foundation publication?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. You are content we should have those long enough to be
       able to make copies?
       A. Yes, surely.

MR. MORRIS: On that subject, we have not got copies; we have
only one copy. Are these your copies that must be
       returned to you?
       A. That is a copy that was made in my department --
somewhat illegally I suspect -- but this is the original
book. It is available from Chapman and Hall, but it is a
book we are constantly referring to which is why I would
be happy to leave you with that copy which is easier to
       photocopy anyway.

MR. MORRIS: All I am saying is that copies both of the
Scottish Diet and this one, if the Plaintiffs can make two
       copies.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The first thing is for them to have the use
