Day 240 - 24 Apr 96 - Page 44

MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Cummins, Mr. or Dr. Nations, Mr. Shane.

MR. MORRIS: Mr.?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Shane, Mr. Rocha -- it is Ms., is it?

MR. MORRIS: Jan Rocha.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Professor Hecht; I have a query against
Miss Tyler.

MR. MORRIS: Is that Andrew Tyler?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is Mr., is it? A. Tyler. Anyway ---

MR. MORRIS: Packaging, yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- interview with Mr. Preston only, not pigs,
I have got.

MR. MORRIS: Right. In some ways, that depends upon the
evidence of Mr. Preston, if we put it to him he said
this---

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Leave that on one side.

MR. MORRIS: -- or whatever.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have got a question mark against Herr Pater
and I have not put a question mark against Dr. Ratta
because I have assumed you were waiting to see when he came
back.

MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Now, it seems to me that you could read
Herr Haneker, you could read Dr. Nations. In so far as
there are any articles which are brought in by his
evidence, I think you have to tell me the parts which --
I have not refreshed my memory. I know there are two
statements from him, and it would be convenient to read
them both together, and it seems to me that although
Mr. Rampton has not had his read, he has just mentioned
them, if we are going to read one out loud we might as well
read the other out loud as well. I cannot, at the moment
-- it is some time since I read them both -- remember the
extent to which they diverge, if at all.

You could read Mr. Shane, Ms. Rocha and Professor Hecht.

MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Will you be prepared to do that on Friday?

MR. MORRIS: Yes, that is no problem at all, and Ronald Cummins
as well.
