Day 192 - 27 Nov 95 - Page 17

break. But, by doing that, I mean, it raises his
productivity. It is what most of the workers got from
       that.

  Q. So, he cut the shift patterns to ever decreasing hours
until they were below four hours?
       A. Right.

  Q. And then you did not get a break?
       A. Right.

  Q. Were there any other cuts which you can remember, any other
       cost cutting?
       A. Not really. Like, when he took over, he cut out a taxi
service that was for the employees -- like, when employees
closed, employees that did not have cars. That was cut
out, I believe, under his management.

  Q. You have identified Rob Pinkney in your statement. Sorry
-- what do you mean by "verbal and sexual harassment"?
       A. It was the norm for Rob to come into work and, if he
was in a bad mood, he would yell at you; and it was
basically younger women, like, on the whole, women that he
yelled at. I do not know why. He yelled at me several
times. He has yelled at many of my friends. He told me to
stand -- this is the man that does my wage increases -- he
told me to stand on the street corner to make a few extra
       bucks.

  Q. Did Rob Pinkney ever get any recognition from McDonald's?
       A. Robin Pinkney was made Manager of the Year; I believe
it was for 1992. I am not sure; I think it was that year.
But I believe he was made Manager of the Year in the Spring
of 1993, so I would believe that he would have been Manager
of the Year for the year of 1992.

MR. MORRIS: If I can just explain to the court that, because
I have two statements, it is a bit difficult to ask all the
       relevant questions for each.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You take your own course.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. One further question: how did you feel when
Rob Pinkney made that comment to you about standing on
       street corners?
       A. I felt degraded, disgusting. Had I said that to him,
I would have been terminated -- fired, sacked, whatever you
guys say. I felt sort of helpless that I could not do
anything; and I cried about it; I went home and I just
cried. I felt disgusting, like, that someone can have that
sort of power over me that I cannot really do anything
about it. I suppose I could have, but he is a very
       intimidating man.

  Q. What percentage of the staff were female?
       A. Probably over half.

  Q. Did people make any kind of complaints?
       A. Well, people were allowed to complain at rap sessions,
tell Cam what they liked and what they did not like about
