Q. To the sheet which is handwritten by myself, dated on the
second -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What were you referring to in your letter
when you said you had read Mr. Logan's statement and you
confirmed that the unprofessional practices mentioned did
occur; can you remember now?
A. It is the first ten pages.

MR. MORRIS: You have seen the other sheets, have you?
A. Sure, I have seen those since I wrote that letter to
you dated 24th January, 1996.

Q. Right. Was there anything in the rest that you disagreed
with?
A. No, there was not.

Q. Right. So, subject to those specific things that you
mentioned in your statement, your very brief statements,
you agree with the matters that Mr. Logan raised?
A. Yes.

Q. Can I just ask you one question. You were only actually at
Bath since -- what time did you work at the Bath store

A. October '93 when I started University at Bath.

Q. How long have you actually worked for McDonald's?
A. Since September '89.

Q. Since September '89, and was your impression of other
stores any different -----

MR. RAMPTON: No, my Lord. This is wholly objectionable.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am not having that.

MR. RAMPTON: Several times Mr. Morris has assured us that there
is no further statement at your Lordship's bidding.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You must keep it within the confines of what
is there.

MR. MORRIS: OK. The next thing I will read is -- we will look
at Mr. Logan's statement in a minute -- we will look at
your resignation letter, if you can have it in front of
you?
A. Yes.

Q. Wednesday, 19th April, 1995: "To whom it may concern: I
write to you to give notice of my resignation. I have been
forced to terminate my employment due to the intolerable
pressures under which I have been placed. They are as
follows: (1) I do not have the necessary qualifications
required to run shifts; ie, first aid, shift Running
Manager's course. (2) Lack of support. Forced to run
shifts without adequate support; ie, other qualified
managers and sufficient amounts of crew.
(3) Paid a tiny amount of money for such a huge
responsibility (i.e. holding the)" -- is that "safe"?
