MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do not worry. Let us assume it is correct
for the purposes of these questions.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. (To the witness): So would it be fair to say
your memory of events in 1994 and before is pretty hazy?
A. As regards to the date that Jane Jenard left, yes.

Q. Why did you think that she had left when David Wynn left,
if you thought that was so important that you had to put it
in your statement?
A. Basically, it was just an aside. I do not consider it
that important.

Q. That is the whole point on its own, is it not? It was a
convenient line, was it not, to imply that as she was
living with David Wynn she would be able to resolve any
problems and, therefore, as she left when he left there is
nothing we could possibly argue about; that is what you are
saying, was it not?
A. No.

Q. She was in with the Store Manager; she left when he left;
so she obviously cannot have any complaints. That is why
you put it in, is it not?
A. I have no recollection of any complaints made by
Jane Girdlestone to me.

Q. Andy Shakespeare, do you remember Andy Shakespeare?
A. I remember Andy.

Q. Does he still -- no, he left the Company. Did you get on
with him all right?
A. Andy, yes.

Q. Did he like going to parties and nightclubs?
A. Andy would like -- yes, he would like to go to
nightclubs. I do believe he frequented a club maybe called
The Bubble Club, or something like that.

Q. And he liked parties as well?
A. I do not know about parties, but I know he actually
used to go to nightclubs.

Q. Working Friday nights would restrict him being able to go
to nightclubs, would it not?
A. No, because The Bubble Club I do believe operated on
something like a Tuesday or a Wednesday evening.

Q. What are the hardest nights to get people to work on, the
most unpopular nights in the week?
A. The most unpopular nights of the week? Probably a
Friday or a Saturday, I would say.

Q. Moving on to Danny Olive -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will take our five-minute break.
