MS. STEEL: To be honest, probably not and, particularly, given
that we have been handed some new documents today which we
would actually like to -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am not putting pressure on you.

MS. STEEL: Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I thought that might be the answer.

MS. STEEL: I was just going to say, which we would like to ask
our expert witnesses about.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The question is, whether quarter of an hour
would make any difference or not.

MS. STEEL: No.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think it is better if we have just a bit
longer and .....

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, although it is inconvenient for
everybody, Mr. Bowes has expressed his willingness to come
back on another day. It would be courteous, perhaps, if
Ms. Steel, instead of, well, perhaps I ought say no more.

day to cross-examine. If quarter of an hour over the
mid-day adjournment might make a vital difference, then we
might have come back a bit earlier but we will see.
If cross-examination is uncompleted by, say, about quarter
past 4, we will talk about further arrangements then.

MR. RAMPTON: I have one other thing that I forgot to ask about
so I will come back to that as well.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. We will resume at 2 o'clock.

(Luncheon Adjournment)

MS. STEEL: I think it would be helpful if Mr. Rampton stopped
trying to take sniping digs at -- it was me well just
before lunch -- and wipes up. I do not know what he was
talking about, but I just feel he is being provocative
really.

MR. RAMPTON: There it is. If I have, I am sorry.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think you have on occasions.

MR. RAMPTON: I know, but then on occasions it is necessary.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I do not agree that a provocative remark is
