Day 090 - 16 Feb 95 - Page 10

  Q. What other countries does Sun Valley get poultry from to
       supply to McDonald's?
       A. We have approved suppliers. They must all be visited
and audited by ourselves to get approval. We have
suppliers in France, about four I think, we have two
suppliers in Holland, and those are all.

  Q. Does all that meat go into together or does that go back to
those specific countries for use in McDonald's?
       A. It depends on certain individual requirements. For
example, the English meat is always used for production for
McDonald's product in England. Some of the other countries
will accept meat from any source in which case it can be
mixed once it has gone through the quality control checks
       in the factory.

  Q. So all the chicken products used by McDonald's in this
country would be from English chickens?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. Right. But in McDonald's in Holland and France, they are
       taken from other countries?
       A. Yes, as I say, there is only France and Holland are
       suppliers anyway.

  Q. What is the reason why the English company only takes the
       English chickens?
       A. It is a matter of tradition that when we had the
factory for producing the chicken sandwich and the chicken
Nuggets in England, we used solely UK suppliers of meat and
when we moved, had to move, our facility to France, we
decided that we would stick to the same system because it
       was satisfactory for all parties.

  Q. Were you McDonald's first chicken suppliers in this country
       when they started using chickens?
       A. Yes, we were.

  Q. Could you get Defendants' documents Supplementary List
       No. 6?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Did you say 6?

MS. STEEL: It is Supplementary List and then it is No. 6.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The document is No. 6.

  MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is probably Bundle, 1 Supplementary 1, it
       is a fat one.

MS. STEEL: Can you turn to document No. 6, please, then to page
21 within that document which is very small at the bottom
of the page? It has got a picture of a potato on the page
before it. It should be headed: "Buying British from
       french fries to apple pie"?
       A. Yes.
