Day 153 - 12 Jul 95 - Page 70

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Talk to Mr. Atkinson about it.

MR. RAMPTON: Ask Mr. Atkinson?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, because the last thing which happened on
Monday was I suggested to Mr. Morris that he give
Mr. Atkinson some indication of what the point was, and he
appeared to agree to that. If they did not talk to each
other, then tell me about it in the morning, but I thought
they were going to talk to each other.

MR. RAMPTON: I have no information.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No.

MR. RAMPTON: All I want to know, my Lord, is this, and perhaps
I should ask them, whether I am to call a witness on Friday
or whether I am not?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, certainly call a witness on Friday.
I did not understand that it was anything which would take
any great length of time. Maybe I am wrong about that.
But the way I left it on Monday evening was that Mr. Morris
seemed quite prepared to have a word with Mr. Atkinson
about what it involved and Mr. Atkinson was quite happy to
talk to him.

MR. RAMPTON: Would your Lordship ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am going to rise now, Mr. Rampton. Have a
word with Mr. Atkinson. If they did not talk, so be it.
If they did, you can find out from your junior what was
said. 10.30 in the morning.
