       experience.

  Q. So what is your area of expertise?
       A. I would say it was food policy issues, in particular
sort of social science and food issues and their bearing
       on nutrition.

  Q. Could you say a little more about The Food Commission?
       A. Yes. This is a small independent, if you like to call
it, a watchdog; a consumer orientated body that survives
on subscriptions from supporters and members. What I can
say it has a low income, but it acts as an independent
watchdog, and is an independent watchdog, on food issues.

  Q. Is it respected?
       A. It is respected in many quarters, yes, and widely
reported in the media when it makes statements.

  Q. Is one of its area of speciality fastfood?
       A. We have covered the issue of fastfood in the past. It
is not currently on our agenda, but we keep a watching
       brief on it.

  Q. Just from your personal background you have produced a
number of books; is that correct?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Do you want to give us an idea of some of the titles?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have a list of them, have I not, or some
       of them at least?

MR. MORRIS: Can we take as read, then, there is a two page
list which was served two days ago which is a number of
books, articles and conference papers; is that correct?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Have you, in fact, addressed a number of conferences?
       A. Yes, I have.

  Q. On food policy issues?
       A. Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: When you finish the introductory part
learning about Dr. Lobstein, let me know and we can see
whether you want his statements put in as his evidence.

MR. MORRIS: I do not see any harm. I am still very unclear
about the role of that except for a very long
statement -- I do intend to cover the salient points.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. If you would like the statement to go
in as evidence on its own account in case you miss
anything, then we will go through the usual form of
words. They are there on the transcript. It will be part
of the evidence as if Dr. Lobstein had actually said it in
       the witness box.

MR. MORRIS: Can we just formally do that now then?
