Day 097 - 06 Mar 95 - Page 85

  Q. Have you considered having trucks with hydraulic platforms
in them which can go up and down like a lift?
       A. Yes, I honestly do not whether the company has
       considered that or not.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, that is the conclusion of my examination
       in-chief.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you want to reserve your position in case
anything arises out of the document you have been shown?

MR. RAMPTON: Provisional. I had forgotten about that document.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, very well. Unless there is anything to
       be mentioned now?

MS. STEEL: There were some things that we wanted to serve.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you want to do that while I am in court or
can you do that anyway? Are they to do with Mr. Chambers?

MS. STEEL: No, they are not actually.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If they are not to do with Mr. Chambers,
I suggest you serve them and if there is any query,
obviously, I will try to help.

MS. STEEL: There is one further pleading which, perhaps, we can
serve now which is the reply to the Defence to
       Counterclaim.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Serve that as well. Is that something you
       want me to have now?

MS. STEEL: It is just dated, so if I do not do it now it will
       be out of date.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you want me to have copies of the
documents or do you want to serve them on -----

MS. STEEL: We can do the document later.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Serve the document on Barlows as soon as is
convenient. Unless there is any objection to them, you can
then hand them to me and I will take a copy of your reply
       to the Defence to Counterclaim.

MR. MORRIS: There is one further matter. We wanted to ask for
a decision on the Easter break as soon as possible. I do
not know if it is possible to decide overnight or what the
       situation is.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I want to hear what the position is so far as
Mr. Beavers is concerned. I have already said and I will
say now that I would rather he was not in the week
beginning the 10th, whichever the Monday is in April. I
would rather he was not in the week which are the three
days leading up to Maunday Thursday because it is a
constraint on time and nothing would be worse than not
