  Q. Pardon?
       A. Verbally no. They have mentioned it, yes. Well, they
have expressed -- they have mentioned before, they have
asked how often the trash walks are and are they being
completed and I told them yes.

  Q. These conversations with residents association and people,
have they said, "We do not believe you are doing the environment/index.html">litter
patrols often enough" or at all in some cases?
       A. I cannot remember specific cases.

  Q. Have they said it in their letters, for example?
       A. They have said it in these letters.

  Q. Has what they have said in their letters been expressed to
       you verbally at some stage?
       A. I cannot remember them saying to me verbally, no.
I cannot recall. It is possible they have.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I notice that Mr. McIntyre's statement
says this that, "I have on at least two occasions asked the
manager at McDonald's to send someone to remove their
environment/index.html">litter from our pavement and doorways." If Mr. McIntyre is
going to say that it was Mr. Stump to whom he spoke on both
or either of those occasions, then I think it has to be put
directly to Mr. Stump that, indeed, he spoke to
Mr. McIntyre or Mr. McIntyre to him, according to those
       words.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The reality is you probably do not know which
manager he is referring to, do you, or do you know?

MR. MORRIS: We do not know what manager.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Put it in this way. Do you recall -- I think
you may have answered it because you do not ----
       A. To my knowledge I do not recognise the name.

  Q. --- you do not recognise the name?
       A. No.

  Q. Have you actually read Mr. McIntyre's statement?
       A. I have, yes.

  Q. I am not sure he actually gives his address, does he, but
       he is a journalist apparently?
       A. Yes, sir.

  Q. He says he has lived at the above address which is ----

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, one deduces that he lives in Smith
Street, but one does not know what number.

MS. STEEL: He does live in Smith Street.

MR. RAMPTON: I think it would be helpful if we could have the
       address.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you remember any particular person who
