publication witness for the defence. But he made a
supplementary statement regarding public statements made by
       McDonald's representatives.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: He is F7.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. I am not sure if his other statement-----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let me just have a look.

MR. MORRIS: ----- was put behind it. It says "supplements to
statement by Veggies Limited, March 3, 1994" at the top.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, I have got a statement dated 21st October
1993 and then I have got a two letters; one 8th October
1987 and one appears to be just the first sheet where the
date is difficult, December, something December, 87 from
Barlow Lyde & Gilbert to the managing director of Veggies
Limited and to Messrs Elliott Mather Smith.

MR. MORRIS: They are all publication matters. But he made an
extra statement and I do not know where it was put now
which was regarding statements made to him in a radio panel
by McDonald's representatives regarding tropical forests
and that was immediately behind Laura Waters in my -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let me look there again.

  MR. MORRIS: ----- my bundles.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I have got behind Laura Waters, I have
got "transcript of part of a debate broadcast on
Loughborough campus radio, 8th December 93" and then
        "witnessed by Patrick Smith, Veggies."

MR. MORRIS: Have you got a statement of Patrick Smith to that
       effect?

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord I have. Your Lordship is welcome to have
       mine.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I do not think I have, no.

MR. MORRIS: The only reason I bring it up now because we intend
to call him anyway as a witness regarding publication but
he is in the environment section, so we could just leave
       it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can I have a copy of that statement?

MR. RAMPTON: The supplement I will hand up, my Lord. Has your
Lordship got a transcript of the broadcast because I can
hand that up. Mine are completely unmarked. (Same handed)

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I have got is about two-thirds of the
page it starts "I am here specifically."

MR. RAMPTON: That is it, my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: And then "sustain it or not."
