behind your statement, please? It should be in the -----
       A. Yes, I have the copies.

  Q. Can you look at those? Just flick through all those,
please. Look at every page, please. (Pause) Sorry, you
       have looked at all those?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Were those the leaflets that you picked up off the table?
       A. Yes.

  Q. That was, as far as you remember, all the leaflets that you
       picked up?
       A. Yes, I would think so, yes.

  Q. You do not recall picking up any other ones?
       A. Well, I picked up what I picked up, and all of them
would have been attached to my report, all the ones that
       I collected.

  Q. These were the ones that were attached to your report?
       A. Yes.

  Q. That went to the solicitors. What is the reason that you
only picked up leaflets relating to McDonald's, the
London Greenpeace fair and the aims and principles of
London Greenpeace? Why did you not pick up any other
       leaflets about other subjects?
       A. I would have picked up all that I could, one copy of
every leaflet there, regardless of whether it was about
       McDonald's or not.

MR. MORRIS: Well, I can tell you that -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, you cannot tell him. You can only ask
him a question and get the answer, and then ask him another
question. You can tell him, but not about -----

MR. MORRIS: The reality is that you knew, is it not, that you
had to get information about McDonald's and about the
people that you had been shown photographs of and described
details of and link the two?
       A. No. I was unaware -- I must make something very
clear -- I was unaware, on going to this public meeting,
that McDonald's might be a target. McDonald's were never
mentioned to me prior to going to that meeting. I was told
to go to a public meeting and report on it, what was said,
       who was there ---

  Q. The only leaflets that you picked up ---
       A. -- and collect the leaflets that were there.

  Q. -- were leaflets that mentioned McDonald's?
       A. Apparently so.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We are just going round for a second lap.

MR. MORRIS: If I can ask one last question before we finish?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. I want to ask you about timing. Ask
