MR. MORRIS: At this meeting alone you tried to get two letters,
or you got one of them and you were trying to get a video
       as well?
       A. I have noted "collect" or "collected a letter from
Peter Taulk and will attempt" or "will try utmost to get
video" or "get video from them".

  Q. Right, and will try to get the letter from New Zealand?
       A. Sorry where is that?

  Q. The third paragraph?
       A. That is correct, yes. That is what I have written.

  Q. There is certainly one letter from New Zealand in that
file. You were just trying to get hold of any letters from
other campaigners, other antiMcDonald's campaigners, were
       you not?
       A. No.

  Q. Who were reporting on things that they had done or were
       going to do?
       A. No, I was making, where possible, a note of the people
       involved with the antiMcDonald's campaign.

  Q. Making a note where?
       A. A mental note.

  Q. What? You were expecting to remember their names,
addresses and countries and details of the protests that
       they were involved in?
       A. I may have made a written note.

  Q. At the meeting?
       A. At the meeting.

  Q. So you took a notebook with you?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, you said that before ----

THE WITNESS: No, I did not.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think you were at odds because you -- the
only point is that you do not have to have a notebook in
       order to make a note.

MS. STEEL: OK. So, you took a piece of paper and a pen with
       you to make notes?
       A. There was no need. There were ample, empty envelopes,
re-cycleable envelopes, in that room to make a note
       wherever needed.

  Q. Whilst there were lots of other people in the meeting?
       A. Whilst there were lots of other people in the meeting.

  Q. Keeping on eye on what you were doing, or who might see
       what you were doing?
       A. That is correct.
