Day 267 - 21 Jun 96 - Page 30

  Q. You made that up did you not?
       A. Not at all. It would probably have been as was said.

  Q. You do not know who said it?
       A. I do not recall, no.

  Q. Do you remember which points they were talking about not
       having any sources for?
       A. No, that was the general opinion that I would have
       made at that time.

  Q. So one person might have said it in and aside to you?
       A. It would have been said by someone or some people,
persons, present. So that I would have made a note of it.

  Q. Mr. Pocklington was at this meeting. He does not have a
note of this in his notes. You made it up, did you not?
       A. Not at all, sir.

  Q. Or you completely misunderstood a conversation about
       something different?
       A. Not at all. Something was said that night on that
event for me to have made those notes.

  Q. Might it have been that somebody in the group thought that
it might have been lucky that McDonald's refused to go on
the programme because they would have slick PR people who
were trained in, you know, putting over a line, whereas
people in London Greenpeace would not have any kind of such
       experience?
       A. I do not recall.

  Q. But it might have been that?
       A. I do not recall.

  Q. You go on to say "antiMcDonald's leaflet will be ready
before October 167th and booklet in the pipeline." That
was Mr. Gravett referring to that, yes?
       A. I do not recall. It may have been.

  Q. You did not ask at this meeting why on earth a leaflet and
booklet were being written if there were not any facts to
       back up?
       A. No.

  Q. Any of this, any of the statements?
       A. No, I would have made notes of what I had gleaned from
       that meeting.

  Q. Was your office in Holborn or were you in your car making
       those notes?
       A. I would have been in my car making those notes, sir.

  Q. So you cannot remember anything about what was actually
said or who it was said by at that meeting, other than
where you specifically noted that Paul said something,
saying that he would go and do the debate?
       A. I do not recall after this amount of time, no.
