Day 209 - 25 Jan 96 - Page 41

  Q. "Paul Scott Shepherd, very many shifts in a row in
1993ish. John Gore mistreated by scheduling. PR
       problems".
       A. Yes.

  Q. "Mike Stokes treated badly by scheduling in 1993, 1994ish,
PR problems. Graham Picking, at one time deliberately
scheduled 1991ish short and few shifts".

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Wait a minute.

MR. MORRIS: It is on mine for some reason.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is not on mine, so I suggest you read it
as it is and then ask about a date. "Graham picking at one
time deliberately scheduled short plus few shifts".

MR. MORRIS: Do have any recollection about the time?
       A. Yes, it would be -- I must have said to you afterwards,
I suppose, it must have been around 1991. I specifically
remember him getting two four hours shifts in a week when
he was meant to be full-time.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: "Jane Jennard/Girdlestone 1994 unsocial shifts".
       A. Yes, she complained to me of unsocial shifts.

  Q. Sorry, she complained to you? Why did she complain to you?
       A. Just in the crew room, I used to, you know, before
I used to do a lot of closes and I used to come in and you
would go upstairs and Jane would be there, you know,
getting ready for a close or finishing shift or break or
       something.

  Q. I mean, were you in that time doing any scheduling or
       anything like that?
       A. Yes, when I did the scheduling she did not want, you
know, she did not want many closes but she still got them,
but it was not just -- during, when I did the schedule she
did say she wanted less shift, but it was just generally
talking to her. She was always complaining about having to
do nights, you know, having to do a lot of nights or
whatever; she never got weekends off. She always liked to
get weekends off and she never got weekends off -- stuff
       like that.

  Q. "Andy Shakespeare", carrying on reading, "unsocial hours in
       1993ish".
       A. Yes.

  Q. "Danny Olive" -----
       A. That was not with the schedule. Andy Shakespeare, he
just, you know, used to talk to me about it, talk to a lot
of people about it. He complained a lot about getting
       closes.

  Q. Right. "Danny Olive, Floor Manager, resigned recently.
Wrote detailed letter of complaints (numbered one to 10) to
McDonald's about store practices, scheduling, et cetera,
