the whole world. I'm glad the food is what it is.
Children can get well balanced meals here". What is he
talking about there? Is he talking about Happy Meals?
A. I think he is talking about Happy Meals and other
meals, yes. I think he says pretty much what he means
underneath it.

Q. Do you serve potatoes other than as chips?
A. No.

Q. Just as chips.
A. As french fries.

Q. Sorry, french fries.

MR. RAMPTON: Are we suggesting that french fries are not made
of potatoes? I do not know.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Leave it, Mr. Rampton. We have things in
paper bags which are thin and sliced and salty and oily,
whatever. We call them "crisps", you call those "chips"?
A. Potato chips.

short because of the time of day, but it is a point upon
which you think Mr. Green might have a particular aspect to
help us?

MS. STEEL: Just on the next page, the advertisement in the

president."
A. I guess that is a cute headline.

Q. "The remarkable thing is, when you think about McDonald's
you've got to think about people. A friendly crew person
welcoming you. Kids, moms and dad having a good time at
McDonald's, even a funny clown named Ronald. Those
pictures in your mind are advertising at work". Is that
something you would agree with?
A. Certainly those are things that we both advertise and
hopefully actually do in the restaurant.

Q. I mean, it appears that they kind of think that the
advertisements are making more of an impression than the

A. Since this is the American Association of Advertising
