Day 267 - 21 Jun 96 - Page 34

MR. MORRIS: Why would you think that Paul was called Paul
       Allan?
       A. I cannot recall.

  Q. Is that what you thought Helen actually said?
       A. I cannot remember. I have noted it as Paul Allan.
For what reason, I cannot recall.

MS. STEEL: Then at this meeting, on the following page, you
have said, "Went through all the post. Lots of letters
from all over the world regarding antiMcDonald's. They all
want more info and updated info, re: AntiMac. (Letters
taken to be copied for reference)." So, you took a whole
bundle of letters on this occasion?
       A. I do not recall how many letters I would have taken,
if I had taken letters, but it says there I have taken
letters. So I would have done.

  Q. OK. If we move on to the notes of the 15th March, 1990.
You have noted the following. This is a meeting at
       Caledonian Road ---

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Page 95.

MS. STEEL: -- and you have noted the following people as
present, "Helen, Paul, Anthony, Steven, John and unknown, a
punk with long red hair". Then under my name you have said
that I did not say much tonight re: McDonald's. Then you
have talked about antipoll tax events in Hackney,
       Islington, Tottenham, Lambeth and Brixton.

       I put it to you that I was reporting on demonstrations;
that there had been demonstrations in those places and
that, at some of those, there had been some kind of, well,
I think riot is probably a bit strong, but not that I was
admitting any kind of involvement in it?
       A. From what was said that night I made notes that you
admitted to being involved in activities such as that.

  Q. In all those places?
       A. Whether it was in all those places, but you admitted to
       some involvement.

  Q. You said that I admitted involvement in a careful way so
that it would not be written down in the minutes; yes?
       A. That is my recollection from my notes, yes.

  Q. That is completely illogical, is it not, because I was
       taking the minutes?
       A. Well, no. That is what I would have made notes of at
       the time.

  Q. So, if I was taking the minutes I could have written down
       anything I liked?
       A. Yes, you could have done.

  Q. I put it to you that I certainly did not admit to
involvement in riots in all those places, that I reported
that there had been demonstrations at those places and that
on, I think maybe one of them, after -- towards the end of
