MR. MORRIS: OK, if we move on then, just to try to get through
the rest of this, to the famous Coope Montecillos?
       A. What tab are you on?

  Q. It is the next one after Guatemala and before Uruguay, it
       is N, Coope Montecillos?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Did Coope Montecillos export to Japan for McDonald's use?
       A. No, they did not.

  Q. What about Nicaragua, chicken to Nicaragua, for McDonald's
       use?
       A. In Nicaragua?

  Q. Yes.
       A. We do not currently have restaurants in Nicaragua.

  Q. You do not have?
       A. No.

  Q. You have had restaurants in Nicaragua, yes?
       A. I believe we did. I seem to recollect that we did at
one time, but I know next to nothing about that.

  Q. I just noticed down at the bottom of the page in Coope
Montecillos the stunning practice for beef is the 22 rifle
       shot in the brain.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is "shot in the bone", is it not, or
perhaps it is "brain"? It is very difficult to read.
       A. Yes, I see it.

MR. MORRIS: Is that something that would concern you in terms
       of animal welfare?
       A. I have seen that done and it does not concern me,
because the way they wrote it, it is a language thing. It
is the hammer, what they describe as the 22 rifle is the
captive bolt gun that is used, that has uses a cartridge,
that looks like a 22 rifle and it will operate almost like
a 22 rifle, except it does not have a bullet. So, when
they see that they assume that is a rifle, when they see
cartridges, when it explodes and causes the concussion in
       the animal.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It appears to be allowed by the Humane
       Slaughter Act?
       A. That is correct, it is.

  Q. Provided certain conditions are met.

MR. MORRIS: There seem to be a lot of no's on that page. Did
that concern you when you were in Costa Rica?
       A. No. I have seen the facilities and, again, it is one
of those issues that is very difficult to judge. When they
say "Are they smooth", it is difficult. When I asked that
question, and I do not have really the time to go into,
answer every single possible detail, but if we say "They
are smooth?" they say: "No, they are smooth", but that
