Day 261 - 12 Jun 96 - Page 33

paragraph 7 -- a very short paragraph, and I will just read
       it out:

"In the office, I noted copies of the leaflets complained
of at appendix 2" -- and there is exhibited to your
statement that -- "which was stocked in boxes on homemade
shelving. There was also a filing cabinet packed with
       leaflets."

Do you still have a recollection of that or not?
       A. I have a recollection of that layout of the office,
       yes.

  Q. Do you have a recollection both of the leaflets on the
shelves and on the filing cabinet?
       A. Not a clear recollection, no.

  Q. Not a clear recollection. I may be able to help you, I may
not. Can you retrieve the statements bundle, and turn
further towards the front of the file to tab 5C, where you
will see, I hope you will see, a statement made by a
gentleman called Alan Clare, behind which -- I am not
asking you to look at his statement -- behind which you
       should find some coloured photographs.
       A. Yes, I have those.

  Q. You have those. First of all, I will quickly run through
them with you, if I may, Mr. Pocklington, because they may
help bring events back to life. Can you tell us what -- it
is headed "main entrance to 5 Caledonian Road" at the top
       of the page, is it?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Does that accord with your recollection?
       A. Yes, it does.

  Q. Over the page, it says "view from inside front door"?
       A. Yes. That is how I remember it.

  Q. Next one "view looking downstairs"?
       A. Yes; again, how I remember it.

  Q. Then, looking upstairs. Can you tell us what that door on
the right is? There appears to be a fire alarm glass key
       container.
       A. I cannot, from memory, I am sorry, no.

  Q. Do you know what that door on the right is?
       A. No, I do not remember.

  Q. Page 5 says "views from inside London Greenpeace office".
Is that what it looked like when you were there, roughly?
       A. Pretty much, yes.

  Q. Then there are more views on page 6.
       A. Yes.

  Q. And 7?
       A. Yes.
