  Q. Right. So you are saying that major burns never happen?
       A. No. I do not think I was saying that at all, but
I think what I was saying was that by investigating lots of
small burns does not mean that we will necessarily come up
with a solution to stop a major burn.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you know what takes a burn to Riddor
       rather than not being reportable?
       A. I think the most likely case, and Jill would be better
again to do this, would be if they were off work for three
days. So if it was a severe burn and they could not attend
work because of it, then they would be off work.

MS. STEEL: How long do you expect the stores to keep the
       accident books for?
       A. I am not aware of any date by which they have to throw
       them away.

  Q. By which they have to throw them away?
       A. Yes. I do not know if we destroy them at any time.
I believe they are kept in store.

  Q. Because you might need them if there was an accident or if
someone made a claim a year later or two years later or
       something like that?
       A. That is my belief, that we should keep them as records
in case someone had a minor accident and later developed
something that they thought may have been a result of
that. We would have a record of that.

  Q. So you would expect the stores to keep them forever or
       what?
       A. I am not sure if there is an end -- I do not know if
there is a long-stop date, but I would most certainly
expect them to keep them for a few years.

  Q. What is a few years? Is that something like five or six?
       A. Three, four, five, something like that.

  Q. You said it was inevitable that there will be people served
badly cooked products. Do you actually keep records about
how many customers complain about under-cooked products?
       A. Records are kept of customer complaints on all
       incidents.

  Q. You would expect the store to make a record of any customer
returning a burger that they thought was not cooked, or is
that something that is recorded at head office?
       A. Most often I think under-cooked products reach head
office, the complaints go to head office. In store we
often have product brought back that may be, not too often
but it will happen that a product is maybe colder than the
customer would have anticipated, it is poorly dressed and
the product is exchanged therein, those types of incidents
will not be recorded. The incident report form if a
customer complains of an under-cooked product, that may
well be recorded within the store.

  Q. Is that something that you would keep a check on?
