Day 261 - 12 Jun 96 - Page 35
on the right-hand side, the same filing cabinet with a
green label saying "Unilever" amongst other things; yes?
A. Yes.

Q. The left-hand side, marked with a "9", top drawer of a
black filing cabinet has some writing on. My eyes are
poorish. Can you read it out?
A. Yes. That says "Muckdonald's".

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Where is that?

MR. RAMPTON: It is the top drawer of the left-hand filing
cabinet, the drawer marked "9". Is the "Muckdonald's"
written in what looks like at this distance pale blue,
faint blue, I should say?
A. It is, or possibly faded black marker.

Q. It is all one word: M-U-C-K-D-O-N-A-L-D-S?
A. Yes, it is.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Again, I can see again something with arches
on it.

MR. RAMPTON: I can, too, yes -- Mrs. Brinley-Codd has just
spotted it -- behind the mug.

MS. STEEL: I think it is an upside down jam jar, actually.

MR. RAMPTON: It is an upside down jam jar.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, also, possibly, in a pile on the
right-hand bench.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I only mentioned it. If there is any
evidence about it, so be it. I am not going to speculate
about it. But if I have picked out something like that, it
should be public knowledge.

MR. RAMPTON: Yes. Then, I suppose for completeness,
Mr. Pocklington, the same series of photographs, the last
one is 11. It is the same upside down -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: A number of disposable mugs, I see.

MR. RAMPTON: Yes. Polystyrene, I dare say.

MS. STEEL: I do not think so. I do not know where you are
referring to. I can only see one plastic cup. It is the
same cup.

MR. RAMPTON: No. There is one on page 9, as well. It very
much looks to me like McDonald's expanded polystyrene.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Anyway, carry on.

MS. STEEL: It might have been the one that Mr. Pocklington
brought in the office.
