Day 261 - 12 Jun 96 - Page 22

       A. Yes.

  Q. As we can see from page 162, this is a meeting at
5 Caledonian Road on 2nd August 1990, attended by both
Mr. Morris and Ms. Steel. You will see their names in the
first paragraph. Do you see them?
       A. Yes, I do.

  Q. They were both there: Mr. Morris when you arrived, and
Ms. Steel before the meeting began. Can you turn over the
page, please, to the second page of the notes -- which,
my Lord, is page 163 -- the fourth paragraph on that page,
numbered 4, says this: "The fair on 27th October will
incorporate the anti-McDonald's fair." Do you see that?
       A. I do.

  Q. Do you remember whether any of those present during this
       meeting dissented from that decision?
       A. No, they did not.

  Q. Did anybody say: "We have had enough of McDonald's now, it
is a waste of time, let us drop it"?
       A. No, no one said that.

  Q. Please turn over the page. This is an addition to your
note of the meeting of 2nd August, which is what you have
actually called it, and it says this: "London Greenpeace
are to issue a press statement calling upon any interested
person/group to organise anti-McDonald's pickets on
16th October 1990", and you have put in brackets "the
       anniversary??"

Then you write: "A new up-to-date fact sheet about
McDonald's is to be produced by Paul Gravett in time for
this event. It was generally felt that the recent
statements by the Company (that is McDonald's) in relation
to their green policies would be effectively countered in
       the new handout."
       A. Yes.

  Q. Did anybody dissent from those sentiments and, indeed, the
decision to issue a press statement calling for a general
       protest?
       A. No, they did not.

  Q. They did not. Can I ask you just to look at one other
document? I want to go so some later dates in your notes
in a moment. It has a pink spine, and it has a (i) and a
capital "A" on it. Can I ask you to find tab 60B?

  MR. MORRIS: Sorry, what number?

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Pink (i)B?

MR. RAMPTON: (i)A, 60B. It is headed -- does your Lordship
       have it?

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have a 60. Pink (i)A.

MR. MORRIS: I have got the leaflet from Islington Animal Rights
