Day 099 - 08 Mar 95 - Page 41
your finger in that Sun Valley document.
A. OK.

Q. Tab 8A which is in the same file. These are the documents
which Dr. Pattison was able to -----

MS. STEEL: Could you hold them up, please? Thank you.

MR. RAMPTON: Can you tell us, Mr. Kenny, what this document
actually is? What is a Macraw?
A. Sorry, could you say that again -- oh, Macraw, sorry.

Q. McDonald's weekly report, where does it come, this
document?
A. This is from the French plant in Orleon.

Q. Why does it call itself a Macraw in the left-hand -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The "raw" is raw as in the raw meat, is it
not?

MR. RAMPTON: I am sorry, that is very stupid of me. It is
MacRaw. That has similar, not identical, but similar sorts
of things. It has bones more than half an inch, there were
a couple of those, three of those?
A. Yes.

Q. The names in the left-hand column are origins of the meat?
A. That is correct, yes.

Q. Some stuff gone to France from Grandstand Road?
A. That is right.

Q. The rest are, I think, Dr. Pattison told us French or
Dutch?
A. Yes, for the UK market they only use the Grandstand
Road meat.

Q. At any rate, on that occasion, Grandstand Road supplied
some breast meat, seven samples of which had combined bone
chips or cartilage in it, do you see that?
A. Yes.

Q. Would the unsuspecting public get those bone chips and
cartilage or not?
A. Well, these actual bone chips and cartilages have been
found during the inspection process which is obviously the
reason for doing the inspection. What it does, it gives
you an indication of how diligent the deboners have been in
their work previous to it.

Q. While you have this, there are one or two little things one
can notice about the French operation. Notice below that
on the same page: "Results of the laboratory analysis of
the raw materials", do you see that?
A. Yes.

Q. There is nothing above, I should think it is 500,000, is it
not?
A. Yes.
