Day 202 - 11 Jan 96 - Page 40

       A. And the evidence that was in front of us, yes.

  Q. Right -- which was these clock card file reports, was it,
       or was it something else?
       A. I believe this is about when those adjustments and we
used them for Sally's -- under Sally's code that we were
       referring to here.

  Q. There was just pieces of paper with adjustments and Sally's
name next to them; you are not talking about anything else?
       A. My recollection, no, I do not believe I am talking
       about anything else here.

  Q. Right.
       A. The situation was, crew hours had been reduced and
Sally Spurgeon's name access code had been the one that was
used to get into the time recorder to do that.

  Q. Right. Did you ever go back to the store and check clock
       cards and the reports?
       A. I have no recollection of going to the store and doing
       that.

  Q. Is it the responsibility of someone in your position, area
Supervisor -- senior Supervisor, sorry -- to check clock
       cards and clock card reports?
       A. No.

  Q. No?
       A. The Supervisor may do it. The Human Resources who will
go in and audit those things, and it would have been
computerised. It is obviously checked, that could go
through on that, and that was the financial business
control report, I think, and it gave indicators as well.

  Q. Right. Can you clarify something? Human Resource audits,
are they the same as full field audits or part of them or
       something totally separate?
       A. They can be done at the time as a full field audit, or
round about the same time as a full field, but as a
department they at that time tried to get out to every
store once a year to do a full field -- sorry a Human
       Resources audit.

  Q. Right.
       A. It could happen round about the same time but, equally,
it could happen at any time. They only took about half a
day to do so. They could go to a store that had a full
field and call in another store later and do another one,
just to try and complete their sort of quota.

  Q. What happens to the Human Resource audits?
       A. They would review them with the -- I would get a copy,
the Supervisor would get a copy, and if there is any issues
with that they would be dealt with.

  Q. Do they go to the region or ---
       A. It would have been kept on -----

  Q. -- Head Office?
