Q. But in terms of numbers per cage, you have seen that?
A. I have never seen anything like that.

Q. I think there are about five in each cage?
A. On those cages, yes. We do not do that.

Q. Well, you do not actually know where all the eggs are
coming from at Cargill anyway?
A. No. You are making a wrong assumption. We do know
that they come from Cargill or Tyson and they do not go to
five birds. What I do not know is where they come from
Cargill side. They have a lot of operations. I do not
know where they are coming from. That part that is what I
do not know.

Q. You have not visited most of the units that supply?
A. No, not on the Cargill side. We have a lot of
operations.

(The video recording continued).

MS. STEEL: Would you think it is cruel to keep them five to a
cage?
A. I do not know, it is not only the number you are
looking for. You have to look at the entire picture
again. In that particular farm, I do not like it. I do
not like to see that. It is nowhere near the operations.
This is the farmer in the house. We do not use those kinds
of people. We deal with big operations that have the money
to buy the best technology available. Our farms do not
look anywhere near to those.

Q. The ones that you have seen?
A. The ones I have seen, yes. That is not a
representation by any means of the United States poultry
industry.

MR. MORRIS: But if you saw the cages, those cages, with five
birds in, would you be concerned about the animals'
welfare?
A. It is not the number you are looking for. You have to
look at the entire animal. What I see there, would I be
concerned? Yes, absolutely.

Q. About the animals' welfare?
A. Yes, absolutely. What I see there, yes, they do not
look healthy. They do not look good.

Q. Because of crowding?
A. The crowding is a different area. You have to look at
the entire area. You cannot make an assumption.

Q. You have to be concerned about animal welfare because of
crowding?
A. Ask the question again?

Q. Would you be concerned about the animals' welfare because
of crowding of the animals five to a cage?
A. I do not know. I need to see -- it is not only one
