1 Rhea's signature at the front. Perhaps you could pass
them over to his Lordship to look at. I will not ask you
2 to read them out. (Handed).
              A. Yes.
     3
         Q. Those I think are ----
4 A. Those are old ones.

5 Q. They are old ones. Here is one, again I think this is a
British one, not an American one. My Lord, they are in
6 trial bundle, pink bundle 6 in section A, copies of them
are. I have been jealously guarding these ones myself
7 because they are the only ones I have. Can you look at
this one as well and tell me whether that is a UK update?
8 A. This is ours, yes, this is UK.

9 Q. This is a change of format. It is a folding out job?
              A. Yes. It is the same information in a slightly
    10 different format.

11 Q. Did they tell you first of all -----

12 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Am I supposed to have one of those?

13 MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, may I pass that one up? Mr. Preston
will know, so he can do without it, if he does not mind.
    14
MISS STEEL: Could you give us the trial bundle reference?
    15
MR. RAMPTON: Yes, it is volume 6 section A and I think the
16 numbers are 2 to 4B. Mr. Preston, this is only a general
question. Do they contain information about what is in
17 the each of the products?
              A. Yes.
    18
         Q. That is in general terms. Do they also tell you how much
19 energy, protein, carbohydrates, fats, saturated and
unsaturated, sodium and fibre is to be found?
20 A. There should be a table showing all of that.

21 Q. Do they also tell you what additives there are in the
              products?
    22 A. Yes, it will.

23 Q. What are loosely and inaccurately called E numbers. That
goes on on form, except this one?
24 A. That is it document.

25 Q. What is the purpose, Mr. Preston, of producing those
              leaflets?
26 A. It is the provision of information to our customers,
so those individuals who have an interest can make a more
27 informed decision about what they want to eat at
McDonald's. In their balancing of diet exercise, they can
28 find out where and when McDonald's can play a part.

29 Q. Are those leaflets prepared by somebody in the company
sort of by themselves in an office?
30 A. No. We use outside people to be involved. I think in
the past we have used the British Nutrition Foundation.
