Day 265 - 19 Jun 96 - Page 74
Q. How long were you employed by them or when, for what
period, roughly?
A. Eighteen months to two years, roughly.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Was that from beginning to work or train as
an inquiry agent up to the conclusions of your
investigations into London Greenpeace?
A. I was -- from memory, I was with Tyson for some time
and then we took on this job.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: And then?
A. And then we took on the McDonald's job and how long
after that I cannot recall.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am not concerned with who you were employed
by after your participation in the investigation into
London Greenpeace, but was all your work as an inquiry
agent as an employee of Tysons up until the beginning of
this investigation and through until the end of it?
A. Whilst with Tysons I was employed as a freelance court
advocate and solicitor's clerk as well as investigation
work.

MR. MORRIS: And that continued until you finished your
investigation with London Greenpeace, did it?
A. I was involved with investigation work after London
Greenpeace whilst with Tysons.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am not concerned with that at the moment.

MR. MORRIS: You said you were involved in the service of the
writs, or doing the pre -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, we have gone on to something else now.

MR. MORRIS: It is just one final question. Did you continue to
attend London Greenpeace events in September?
A. No.

Q. 1990?
A. No. I do not believe I was. Without referring to my
notes, I distinctly remember stopping my involvement, i.e.
with the group, and then after that assisting with. So, I
would not have attended, from memory, at venues or meetings
whilst I was assisting with the service of writs.

Q. Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. Would you leave Court? Do not talk to
anyone else about your evidence and please return by 10.30
on Friday, Mr. Claire?
A. Yes, my Lord.

Q. You almost certainly will not go back into the witness box
then, but I hope it will be not too late in the morning
when you resume your evidence.
A. Thank you, my Lord.
