Audit. I have not a 9 myself, but it is appendix 9.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is largely a series of pages which look
       like that.

MS. STEEL: What page is it?

MR. RAMPTON: 524. I do not know why it is 524 but it is in my
version. Maybe it is in some other file, In-store Food
Quality Audit. Everybody has it now. (To the witness):
What is this document, Mr. Kenny?
       A. This is a document produced by my department for use
       when visiting McDonald's restaurants.

  Q. You mean you take this form with you or what do you do?
       A. Yes, we take the form with us and complete it during a
full day audit in a restaurant. It is an audit, basically,
       on the raw materials.

  Q. How often do you do these restaurant audits?
       A. These are done approximately one a month.

  Q. Do you mean in every restaurant in the country or one
       restaurant per month?
       A. One restaurant per month.

  Q. How long does it take you to get round the totality of the
restaurants in this country which is now something over
       500, I think?
       A. The aim of the audit is not to actually audit the
restaurant, it is to audit the quality of the product in
that restaurant, to give us a picture of what the products
are out in the McDonald's restaurants system. So, there is
no intention to visit every single restaurant.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: So really you are auditing your suppliers
       rather than the ---
       A. Exactly.

  Q. -- the restaurant operation?
       A. The suppliers in the distribution chain, yes.

MR. RAMPTON: We can see that it checks things like temperature,
shelf life dates, whatever you call them, and so on and so
       forth, does it not?
       A. Yes.

  Q. There is one other document -- I am not going to take you
through that document, Mr. Kenny, you will be pleased to
hear -- have you still the pink file to hand? Turn to
tab 10A, please. It goes back, Mr. Kenny, to something
I was asking you about right at the beginning of your
evidence. It calls itself a Delivery Acceptance Record
headed jointly "McDonald's" and "Golden West Foods".
Section one, it says, to be completed by GWF, is that
       Golden West Foods?
       A. Correct.

  Q. Prior to vehicle departure. It says store name, store
number, date, journey number, trailer number. What do the
