1 Q. Was he on the team?
              A. No.
     2
         Q. Are you aware that he said, I quote: "CFC-22 and HCFC-22
3 are the same chemical" -----

     4 MR. JUSTICE BELL: "CFC-22"?

5 MR. MORRIS: "And HCFC-22", as I believe it was relayed -----
              A. There is no CFC-22.
     6
MR. JUSTICE BELL: That is why I queried the quote.
     7
MR. MORRIS: Was there ever a chemical called CFC-22?
8 A. Not to my knowledge.

9 Q. In your knowledge. So how long were you at Perseco for?
              A. I worked from the middle of 1988 until November 1st
    10 1991.

11 Q. Before Perseco you were?
              A. I was employed by the Harvi Group and which owns
12 Perseco along with other companies that work for
McDonald's, and I started with them in 1983.
    13
         Q. Right. So on packaging, you were dealing with packaging,
    14 were you?
              A. No. From 1983 through 1988, I dealt with the
15 distribution and transportation of materials to McDonald's
              restaurants.
    16
         Q. But you are aware of the CFC controversy around about the
    17 mid 80s, 1985, 1986?
              A. As just a normal person who read my daily newspapers,
18 journal and TV, I was aware of the emerging CFC issue.

19 Q. Do you have any scientific qualifications?
              A. I am not a scientist. My role at McDonald's is to seek
20 the science that is in the field and apply it to
              McDonald's business.
    21
         Q. You are not aware that what is now known as HCFC-22 was in
    22 the 80s called CFC-22?

23 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is that so?

24 MR. MORRIS: That is our claim, yes.
              A. I am not aware of that, because it is not -- because
25 although I am not a scientist, what we do do is take a
look at the science and verify what that science is. You
26 know, there are two different sides of science. And the
science here is indisputable in that HCFC, the H, the
27 hydrogen aspect of that, makes it a completely different
              blowing agent.
    28
         Q. Do you know about the Anti-styrofoam -- I call it
29 styrofoam, but it might have been polystyrene, I do not
know -- the Statute enacted by the Portland Oregon
    30 authorities in 1989/90?
              A. I am aware of that.
