Day 132 - 07 Jun 95 - Page 41

first paragraph -- I am sure it is common sense -- it says:
"All those become slippery in contact with grease and
       water"?
       A. Yes.

  Q. You made a general comment in the next paragraph:
"Recommendations made but not enforced is not unusual"?
       A. Not in industry generally, no.

  Q. The last line in that section is: "The wearing of such
equipment is notoriously difficult to police"?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Over the page at page 20 it says -- this is the case that
Keith Baker referred to in court -- "It is a fact that
compensation cases involving injury are notoriously
       difficult to defend"?
       A. Yes.

  Q. What does that mean exactly?
       A. What it means is if an injury has occurred to somebody
and it goes to court, the sympathies of the court are
likely to be with the injured person. That is rightfully
so. Granted, the fact that the accident has already
happened, it is then difficult to say: "Well, there was
       not negligence".

  Q. If we look down to the third para. under Dave McGee ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- about a coat being in a filthy condition?
       A. Yes.

  Q. I cannot remember the original allegation now.
       A. I think the comment was that there was only a coat worn
on environment/index.html">litter patrol which was filthy to use in the freezer.

  Q. Right. You said you see no reason for such a coat to be in
       an allegedly filthy condition?
       A. No, not particularly.

  Q. If you are picking up environment/index.html">litter, it may be quite reasonable
that it is in a filthy condition, going outdoors and
rummaging through bushes, or whatever you are doing?
       A. It may become so eventually, possibly so.

  Q. In the next para. regarding the slipping on the floors,
skidding, deliberate skidding, you said that you would
question the deliberate skidding. Of course, if there was
deliberate skidding, you would be concerned about it?
       A. Yes, indeed, as was pointed out with the video we saw.

  Q. This is on page 21 at the top: "Mr. McGee states he
received no training for emergency procedures"?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Your answer is: "This is clearly covered in the
       orientation pack2?
       A. Yes.
