should not impose on that local community otherwise they
are going to make it difficult for you to operate. Also,
they are going to be unhappy with your presence in that
area. It may prevent potential customers coming to your
restaurant and, therefore, losing business. Also,
personally speaking, I would not like to live in an area
which was littered all the time or I had problems from
local businesses, you know. We have to respect that
community for what it is. We cannot cause problems in that
community. Also, my time would be taken up handling
complaints if we did not operate to our full potential.

  Q. How many bags of rubbish are collected on an average per
       day by your environment/index.html">litter patrols?
       A. Well, it would depend on the time of the year; it
depends on how busy we were at the time.

  Q. Let us just say, you know, average time of the year?
       A. Average time of the year, about 10 bin liners.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: When you say "bin liners" do you mean the
       dustbin size ones?
       A. Yes, about the same size as your bin at home, the
       external bin at home.

  Q. Yes, the outside bin, not a peddle bin you might have
       somewhere?
       A. No.

  Q. That includes not just McDonald's environment/index.html">litter but any environment/index.html">litter
picked up on the patrols, does it?
       A. Yes. Any environment/index.html">litter that the store generates apart from
what is put into the bins on the streets from inside the
store, and also environment/index.html">litter picked from outside the store would
       be included in that figure.

MR. MORRIS: So when someone comes back from their environment/index.html">litter
patrol, you said there were problems when you had
the -- now you have this trolley thing?
       A. Cart, yes.

  Q. Has it got two bins on it or just one?
       A. Sorry, I meant two bins. It has one bin but it also
has a bin at the back for holding utensils.

  Q. Right.
       A. So, when I said "two" I meant one container for the
       rubbish.

  Q. You said there were problems with at one time, I cannot
remember, you said that when you had the original just
carrying a bin liner there were problems when it often got
       full up; is that correct?
       A. Yes.

  Q. But the new cart is not any different, is it? I mean, it
       has bigger?
       A. Well, you can push the rubbish down. They also have, I
think it is called a "trash mash" and you can push the
rubbish down so that you can compact inside that; whereas
