Day 267 - 21 Jun 96 - Page 18

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have had it read to me several times now,
but what is the word she, "she admitted to..."?
       A. Helping.

  Q. Yes. Thank you.

MR. MORRIS: You do not have a recollection of me holding up
particular leaflets at this time; no?
       A. No, not at all.

  Q. Or identifying any particular leaflets that I was talking
       about?
       A. I do not recall.

  Q. If you had heard anyone talking about organising a picket
you would have made a note of it, yes, in terms of an
       antiMcDonald's picket?
       A. More than likely, yes, I would have done.

  Q. Right. And if you heard anyone say they were going to
volunteer to distribute antiMcDonald's leaflets on an
occasion you would probably have made a note of that?
       A. I probably would have done, yes.

  Q. And if you heard anyone volunteer for organising the fair,
presumably you would have made a note about that as well?
       A. I probably would have, yes.

  Q. Right. In fact, you yourself actually volunteered to do
the videos at the 1991 London Greenpeace fair did you not?
       A. I do not recall whether I volunteered but I recall
       something about videos.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do keep your voice up, please?
       A. I do not recall volunteering but I think I recall it
being discussed. Whether I was asked if I wanted to, I
       cannot recall.

  Q. Right. And you said that you would do them?
       A. I believe I did, yes.

  Q. Right. You said that you recollect that Paul Gravett was
the main activist in the antiMcDonald's campaign; yes?
       A. Where is that said?

  Q. I think you gave it in evidence the other day. I cannot
       remember when.
       A. He was an activist, yes.

  Q. You have actually got it in your notes somewhere saying
that he was the main activist?
       A. Do I?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, if you look at the previous page, page
60, it is the last sentence above the bottom paragraph
where Ms. Steel started: "Main activist in antMcDonald's."
       A. Right. Thank you.

MR. MORRIS: If you look at the note it says above that -- Mr.
Rampton did not read that out when he did his in-chief:
