A. It is the in-house data which we are currently
generating on the women who are pregnant.

Q. Well then, I will not ask you to look it up. But I am
right, am I not, in that paper about school children I
think you studied 65 school children?
A. Yes.

Q. You found that they got most of their energy from chips,
bread and confectionery; did you not?
A. That is correct.

Q. By that you mean traditional British chips and not the
American ones? What the Americans call fries, yes?
A. I would not know what they were to be honest with you.
You would have to ask the first author of that question
specifically. But I mean chips in general, the chips you
buy in these varieties of shops that they have which
produce them, which could be fish and chip shops McDonald's
or Kentucky Fried Chicken.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Was that it was, or was it just what comes
out of deep frying pan at home?
A. No. No, it was mostly stuff that we would buy.

Q. Mostly takeaway?
A. Mostly takeaway, some of which was obtained at school.

MR. RAMPTON: Potato is a very ready source of vitamin C?
A. It is indeed.

Q. The COMA Panel on the diets of British school children
found that something for two groups within each gender of
10/11 and 14/15 I think it was?
A. Yes.

Q. That uniformly or medianly, if I can use such a horrible
word, they got 10 percent of their vitamin C from chips?
A. From potatoes.

Q. That is not right?
A. From potatoes. I do not recollect that it comes from
chips. If you tell me it is in there that it comes from
chips, I will accept that.

Q. Yes, it is. It was for the groups concerned, boys aged
10/11.

MS. STEEL: Where are we?

MR. RAMPTON: This is diets of British school children. This is
COMA 36, page 46 table 8?
A. Yes. I will accept your word Mr. Rampton.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you give me the reference again?

MR. RAMPTON: It is COMA?
A. It sounds pretty consistent with what we understand,
