it.

Q. Which company do you buy the compound from?
A. We buy it from Favor Parker, would that be any help?

Q. How do you spell that?
A. F-A-V-O-R-P-A-R-K-E-R and we buy it also from Dalghety.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Say again?
A. Dalghety, and we have another, you know, other smaller
suppliers as well, sir; Bibby, Pauls, there is a whole host
of them.

MS. STEEL: They have told you where they have got the soya from
from time to time?
A. No, no, no, never. We just put the specification down
of what percentage of soya we want at what protein level.
It is up to them to purchase from where they think fit as
long as that meets all the specifications.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: So you do not say X per cent soya, have just
got to get the protein level right by some means?
A. No, we will specify soya.

Q. You will?
A. Yes, we will.

Q. You will say the percentage of that?
A. Yes, sir.

MS. STEEL: What percentage do you specify then?
A. Again that varies. Our nutritionists vary according to
least cost formulas.

Q. So that is basically between the 0 and 20 per cent?
A. Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Pick some time within the next five minutes
to say when we can break off.

MS. STEEL: Is any slaughterhouse waste ever used in the pig
feed?
A. Never in our pig feed.

Q. Never in your pig feed?
A. Never.

Q. That is quite common in the industry, is it not?
A. No.

Q. It is not?
A. It is not -- when you say "in the pig industry", first
of all, there has been quite a move in the change of
attitudes in using animal protein, and it is the
slaughterhouse waste that is used for meat and bonemeal
that go to feeds, it is now reversed.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do keep your voice up, please.

THE WITNESS: Sorry, I do apologise, sir. What industry is
