Day 062 - 06 Dec 94 - Page 20

  Q. It may be yours are clipped together or not?
       A. Sorry?

  Q. Are your documents stapled or not?
       A. No, I have the unstapled version.

  Q. Could you extract from a bit further on the Exhibit CVE 3
which is a summary table we looked at a little bit earlier?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Can we just look at CVE 3, first of all, which is, as
I say, the summary table? Did you also make this one --
I think you told us you did?
       A. Yes, I did.

  Q. This is just to do with paper, is it not, this one and
       wood?
       A. Yes.

  Q. It is trees?
       A. Fibres.

  Q. Fibres?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Can we see that the recycle fibres in the left-hand column,
you calculate at 14,885,177 kilograms, yes?
       A. Yes.

  Q. The virgin fibres is 10,147,924 kilograms and a coating at
       1,544,892 kilograms; right?
       A. Yes, that is correct.

  Q. Am I right that as a proportion of the total which you give
there as 26,577,993, the recycled content is about 56 per
       cent?
       A. Yes, I think it is.

  Q. If one extracts from that total the coating which is clay,
am I right that the recycled content, recycled fibre
content, as a proportion of the reduced total is something
       just under 60 per cent?
       A. Probably. I did not do the calculation here but -----

  Q. It may be convenient just to say that 59.5, my Lord,
I think, in fact, so that everybody can check the
arithmetic in due course, if they should wish to do so.
Can you then travel across to the other tables on page
7.3? Did I ask you to open 7.3 or not?
       A. No, but I did anyway.

  Q. That is table at page 7.3 of CVE 2 headed: Material Use
Per DC -- what does "DC" stands for?
       A. "DC" stands for distribution centre.

  Q. These tables are concerned with all kinds of packaging
       material, are they not?
       A. They are concerned with all sales packaging which has
       gone through the Perseco system.
