3 A. Yes, I am.

5 Q. You are a member of what the Corporation is pleased to
6 called its top management team; is that right?
7 A. Yes.

9 Q. When were you promoted to Senior Vice President?
10 A. That would be 1987.

12 Q. What particular aspects of the Company's business do you
13 control and direct as Senior Vice President?
14 A. The Human Resources area.

16 Q. Does that include Labour Relations?
17 A. Yes, it does.

19 Q. Is that the work that you have always done while you have
20 been at McDonald's?
21 A. No, I have also been in Operations. I spent three
22 years, while retaining my status heading up the Human
23 Resources area, I spent three years in an accelerated
24 Operations programme to gain even better knowledge and
25 understanding, if you will, from the bottom all the way up
26 of the operations of the Company.

28 Q. Have you ever worked in a restaurant?
29 A. Yes, I have.

31 Q. Have you ever managed a restaurant?
32 A. Yes, I have.

35 A. Approximately six months during that programme that
36 I mentioned.

39 Operations?
40 A. Yes, it is.

43 A. Yes, I did.

45 Q. -- in your spare time and in vacations?
46 A. Yes.

48 Q. What sorts of things did you do?
49 A. I was a -- I did anything and everything I could to
50 make money. I worked my way through college, so I spent a
51 great deal of time working. I would do anything from being
52 a house painter to a cleaner -- any jobs that were
53 available.

55 Q. When you first started, I do not know what you call it,
56 your training period in Operations in McDonald's, did you
57 do any work as a crew member?
58 A. Oh, absolutely.

60 Q. When you were a Manager, were you in the premises every
