Day 277 - 10 Jul 96 - Page 25

Q. Discoloured?
A. Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: But it has been photocopied, has it not,
because of the form it now takes? Correct me if I am
wrong, but that is the original fact sheet?
A. Yes.

Q. In that form?
A. Yes.

Q. In order to make one like that you would have to--
A. Well, somebody must have photocopied it, presumably,
yes.

Q. Yes, somebody must have?
A. Yes.

Q. I just wanted to make sure there was no dispute about that.

MR. RAMPTON: In fact, I did the exercise myself. It took me
about two minutes. It could be done by a 10 year old.
Could I pass out facsimiles? Miss Steel, I did this not by
copying from that but from the original six-sided version.
You will agree it is not a very difficult thing to do?
A. Actually, it is a bit of a palava. I had to do it for
this case and--

Q. It is only the end sheet in the original -- sorry, the
Judge has not got one. I am so sorry.
A. First, you have got to make a copy of -- first you have
got to make a copy of -- in order to get this -- I can't
remember how it goes, but--

Q. I will show you what you do can and see if you agree with
me?
A. You do have to make one copy before you can
rephotocopy.

Q. Yes, that is absolutely right.
A. The last sheet is it?

Q. That's right, because these two, the first and the second
sheets, are that side, and the middle sheet are both A4
when you lay them out are they not? There are two A5's and
there is a an 4 is there not?
A. Roughly, yes.

Q. So that is easy, you just copy one side and then the
other. This one you have to do twice, stick it together
and then recopy?
A. Yes.

Q. Had you seen that?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The one I have been handed, is that for me?

MR. RAMPTON: That is for you, my Lord, yes. Have you seen that
discoloured version, 3-sided version, before Miss Steel?
