     1 they not, and pizzas?
              A. Yes.
     2
         Q. The other three are all a fair bit lower in fat as a
     3 percentage of calories?
              A. Yes.
     4
         Q. If we look at the saturated fat figures we see the same
5 thing; those two meals are the two that are highest in
              saturated fat?
6 A. Yes, I completely agree with you.

7 Q. So, if we are looking at what was available in 1989 and
1990, it is clear, is it not, that the percentage of
8 calories that come from fat and saturated fat are way, way
over the recommended limits and far more difficult to fit
9 in with a diet than the ones that are based on side salads
which have only been recently introduced?
    10
MR. RAMPTON: 1989, according to Mr. Wheelock's chronology at
11 the back of his statement.

12 MS. STEEL: And which are not available in all your stores
still? I believe I have seen somewhere that in 1990 there
13 were only about 30 stores that were selling salads.

14 MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I might suggest -- there is no hurry
about it -- if you want to press your point home, either
15 do it yourself or see if you can get a helper who can sit
down and do some arithmetic. For instance, taking out the
16 side salads and, if you like, putting in medium fries
instead of the regular ones and see what sort of figures
17 you actually come up with.

18 MS. STEEL: I think the point is that the charts are fairly
selective, and they are selected from items that are not
19 sort of standard menu items in 1989 and 1990.

20 MR. JUSTICE BELL: I understand that point. If you want me to
draw a more precise conclusion, then you may have to do
    21 some arithmetic.

22 MR. RAMPTON: That is precisely why I chose meal 4 on that
              table to avoid that difficulty.
    23
MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you understand the point I am making to
    24 you?

    25 MS. STEEL: Yes.

26 MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is up to you whether you do it; it is
just it would be a more precise approach.
    27
MR. MORRIS: I would contend, maybe it is a bit extreme --
28 shoot me down in flames if it is -- but the chart is
virtually meaningless as in terms of relevance to before
    29 1990.

30 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, I think .....
