Day 208 - 24 Jan 96 - Page 58
back on their station. There is a floor plan written every
day which says which crew member is doing what station, and
they would go back on to that station, unless the Manager
specifically says, "Can you go somewhere else"; they would
go back on the station they were originally on.

Q. The person who was on that station while they were on their
break would have to move to go to somewhere else, or would
have to ask the Manager where to go to, or what?
A. Yes, yes.

Q. The Manager would know what was going on, basically?
A. Yes.

Q. You say in paragraph 14 that you do recall there was a time
when the grills often tripped out, but you have no
knowledge of the cause of this?
A. No.

Q. Do you remember which year, roughly, that would have been,
or which years?
A. It would have been a couple of years ago. I cannot say
when. It was two or three years ago at least, I would say,
perhaps a little bit less, but I would say two years
minimum.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have neglected the five-minute break. Do
you want to take it now? How are we doing with Mr. Perret?

MR. MORRIS: I would rather press on. I am hoping we might be
able to finish. We cannot guarantee it, but we are hoping.

(To the witness) When the air conditioning trips out, is
that when the -- you have got a thing called the HVAC air
conditioning; is that correct?
A. Yes.

Q. HVAC air conditioning. Is it the case that that sometimes
trips out and that means that you have a noise of air being
released in the grill area?
A. Not so far as I know. I am not really sure about it.
I do not have a lot to do with the sort of mechanical side
of things, so .....

Q. But are you aware that the air conditioning does trip out
from time to time, or did at that time, or whatever?
A. No. All I was aware of, if the grills used to trip
out, the vats might trip out as well. It would trip out
(inaudible), but the air conditioning probably did go off
as well, but I am not really, you know.

Q. You cannot watch every person who is cooking meat products?
A. No, I cannot.

Q. You are all over the store, are you, when you are running
the store?
A. I do not run the store. I only run the breakfast
shifts. But breakfast shifts are not quite the same as
when we come to main menu, because it is not as busy. We
do not do as many products, so I do not need to be -- I am
