Day 277 - 10 Jul 96 - Page 69

       that right?
       A. Whoever altered the leaflet did not feel it was
important to change it, presumably. I don't know.

  Q. Well, there is a picture of you Ms. Steel sitting -- it is
not here, it is on the video and we can look at it if you
wish -- but there is a picture, is there not, of you on the
video for this date sitting in a very similar position to
where we see Mr. Gravett in photograph 14, doing exactly
the same kind of thing; is there not?
       A. I have seen on the video me sitting down writing
something, I could not say that I was doing this, I could
not say that I was not. If I was doing it, it was probably
because someone said to me they were fed up with doing it
themselves, would I mind doing a few.

  Q. Well naturally, naturally it is what you would expect.
What else might you have been writing? Notes about the
       occasion?
       A. Could have been. Could have been writing a message to
pass on to somebody. I don't know. I am not saying that I
wasn't doing it, I am just saying that I cannot remember.

  Q. Do you remember scratching out the words "anti-McDonald's"?
       A. I don't remember altering the leaflets.

  Q. I see?
       A. I am not saying I did not do it, all I am saying is I
       do not remember doing it.

  Q. Can we then move on, and I will finish these notes this
evening at least, to 30th August 1990. 6, Endsleigh Street
page 186A, which is the report of Michelle Hooker?
       A. Which page, sorry?

  Q. 186A. I do not have the notes, so we will have to make do
with the report at the moment. That I can tell you was a
       Thursday?
       A. I have not actually found it yet.

  Q. I am sorry.
       A. Right, I have got it. Yes, thank you.

  Q. So as it says it is an Endsleigh Street meeting, so called
public meeting and it says these are the offices of Peace
Pledge Union. That is right, is it not, or they were then?
       A. Yes.

  Q. And the third paragraph says that you were there and the
       fourth paragraph says this:

"Placed upon the table were several files of handouts.
They consisted of a London Greenpeace pamphlet, "We all
live in Bhopal", the Trafalgar Square Defendant's Campaign
handout, a leaflet on London Greenpeace, a festival list
for 1990, a leaflet, "We all have power to disarm", a
leaflet on London Greenpeace fayre and 'What is wrong with
MacDonald's?' all of which are attached."

I am not asking you if you can remember?
