Day 159 - 20 Jul 95 - Page 46

Q. He said that while he was there there was a specific team
who were generally responsible for doing that?
A. Yes, if they were there all the time, but sometimes the
delivery did not come on that certain time of day, you
know; they would say it would come in the morning and then
it would come in the evening, so obviously sometimes it had
to be ----

Q. Was that part of your duties?
A. Oh, no.

Q. No?
A. No.

MR. MORRIS: When you were chosen for the store marketing group,
was that -- is that a responsible position, a specially
responsible position?
A. Yes, I would say so.

Q. They would not just put any old person on that group?
A. No.

Q. Did you get, when you were chosen for that, or did you
volunteer or were you chosen?
A. No, I was asked if I would like to come on.

Q. Did you get any pay increase because of that?
A. Yes.

Q. You did?
A. Yes.

Q. That was since 1985 you had been on that group. What was
the pay increase you got, do you remember? I know it is a
long time ago?
A. 15p, it was the top.

Q. Per hour. That was at that time you got a 15 pence
differential?
A. Yes.

Q. That differential for extra responsibility, has that 15p
differential stayed the same or gone up compared to
inflation for the last 10 years? Do you know what I mean?
A. Yes, I think -----

Q. Is it still now a 15p differential if someone goes on to
that group or is it a 30p differential?
A. Probably it is still the same. I am not really sure.
I cannot answer that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is there anything else you particularly want
to ask about this evening?

MR. MORRIS: No.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: This is just an opportunity to do so if you
want to find something out before tomorrow.
