Day 270 - 28 Jun 96 - Page 30

paragraph up but one from the bottom on page 26:
"Forthcoming events were raised on the agenda and Paul,
seeming to be quite enthused with the prospect, advised all
present that there was to be a public meeting of the
Hackney and Islington Animal Rights Campaign on the evening
of Monday, 1st October on the subject of McDonald's:
'Everything they don't want you to know', and he was to be
the guest speaker as representative of subject group." Do
       you see those words?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Can I ask you to look at the first page in that other tab.
My Lord, that is a document that looks like that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. I have just been handed it by
Mr. Riley. Where is it in the bundle?

MR. RAMPTON: It should be in pink 60A. It is the first page.
       It is where mine is.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I see. Is there a pink 60, for instance?

MR. RAMPTON: That I cannot, I am afraid, help with.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That is what I have got as pink 60. So, this
       is 60A, is it not?

MR. RAMPTON: Yes, my Lord. It is the first page of 60A and I
       apologise for that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have no 60A, save the page you have just
given me. That can be corrected later.

MR. RAMPTON: Yes. (To the witness): Do you see, Mrs. Tiller,
this again has got in handwriting in the top left-hand
       corner "Please Display"?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Then it has got Hackney and Islington Animal Rights
Campaign with an address, "public meeting" in large black
letters, "McDonald's", and then a reproduction of the ugly
man from the front of the anti-McDonald's leaflet. Do you
       see that?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Underneath him, "Everything they don't want you to know"
and then it says this and it is printed, is it not? So,
this is not a type job, is it?
       A. No, that is right.

  Q. It is printed: "Speaker from LONDON GREENPEACE plus Jungle
Burger video". Then the date is given as Monday, 1st
October at 7.30 p.m.. Do you agree that it is likely that
that is the poster which you saw at the time and brought
back with you announcing that Mr. Paul Gravett was going to
speak on behalf of London Greenpeace on the subject of
anti-McDonald's to the Hackney and Islington Animal Rights
       Campaign?
       A. Yes, it is quite likely that that was the poster.
