Day 208 - 24 Jan 96 - Page 54
I have.

Q. So you do not see it at the store?
A. No, I do not see it at the store, no.

Q. All right.

MR. MORRIS: Just a quick question on performance reviews: you
said the performance reviews were given about every two
months; when you joined McDonald's, they were given every
two months, which later changed to every four months. That
was what the policy was, was it?
A. Yes.

Q. You do not know about when each person got their reviews?
A. No, I do not.

Q. Do you know when that change took place, approximately?
A. Not really. I would say at least a couple of years
ago, but I could not remotely say exactly when.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mrs. Rose and Mr. Sanders, in the top
righthand corner, were they at the Post Office or the
RSPCA?
A. Mr. Sanders was at the Post Office and Mrs. Rose was at
the RSPCA.

MR. MORRIS: You said that when two performance reviews were
done at the same time, Jane Jarvis apologised to you?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you think that is the appropriate way of dealing with
that?
A. Well, I could not really see what else she could do
other than apologise. I understood her point of view,
because she was taking over the store and she was trying to
settle in, so I did understand that.

Q. In that file between pages 118 and 120, between
February 1991 and January 1993, it appears there is a gap
of almost two years between performance reviews. Have you
got anything to say on that?
A. All I can say, really, is what I said, that
I definitely did not go two years without a pay rise or a
pay review. I know that for a fact. I would have
definitely left the Company if that had been the case, if
I went two years without a performance review.

Q. You got a Company rise, according to your chart, in
June 1992, which comes sort of midway between the two PRs.
Would that be what you recall, that you got a pay rise
midway between the two reviews?
A. I honestly could not say. It is such a long time ago,
I could not remember. It would not stick in my mind.

Q. What I am saying is, you just said that you definitely
got -----
A. No, I would not class that as I class a PR, no. The
Company I was with, I would class that as something
different.
