Day 206 - 22 Jan 96 - Page 65

  Q. Do you know if he sometimes borrowed other people's codes
       to close?
       A. I do not know. I do not know whether he did use
       anybody else's code.

  Q. Can you just try to remember a little bit about that?
There is a whole range of reasons why somebody running a
shift might wish to have, might need to have, access to the
Husky computer system, is there not?
       A. The reason that they would want access to the Husky
computer system is (a) to maybe add an employee to the
system if they were working, or, like, if a person had
forgotten to clock in, to reinstate their hours, and to
shut the system. But those things are not things that
necessarily have to be carried out on that day. The system
can be shut at any time up until 10 o'clock the following
day. The hours can be -- a note can be left in the diary,
a person can be added to the system the following day.
Their hours are recorded as such.

  Q. But, in general, Danny Olive did not leave such notes, did
he? He used the Husky computer system?
       A. I do not know.

  Q. You do not recall any notes from Danny Olive saying: "Do
not forget so-and-so did not clock out", type of thing?
       A. No, I do not recall.

  Q. The reduced clothing allowance, was that something that was
       for management or for crew?
       A. Again it is not my responsibility to administer the
clothing allowance. That is actually done by a store
Manager and the Area Supervisor. They do have a reduced
clothing allowance. I believe it is in the region of £85
       or thereabouts.

  Q. That is for Floor Managers, is it?
       A. It is for a range of staff. It is Floor Managers,
       lobby hostesses.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: When you say "reduced", reduced in what
       sense?
       A. Reduced in monetary value, the salaried one is 150
       currently.

  Q. So it is less than them?
       A. Yes, but Danny Olive, typically, only worked two shifts
a week as opposed to a salaried which would work five
       shifts a week.

MR. MORRIS: "Pay reviews continually not followed up on time
and inappropriately carried out". Do you know what he is
       referring to there?
       A. His pay reviews would have been done by the Store
Manager as he was a Floor Manager, so I cannot comment on
his individual performance reviews really as I have no
       knowledge of them.

  Q. "Inadequate time off between shifts"; do you know what he
