MR. RAMPTON: No, I will ask that. I am going to ask that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do not get impatient, Mr. Rampton, it was a
       perfectly reasonable -----

MR. RAMPTON: I find it difficult -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It was a reasonable request.

MR. RAMPTON: I am coming to it. I am slightly irritable because
throughout this re-examination there has been a bevel of
conversation going on on my right, which I find
distracting. Page 25, please, Mrs. Barnes. This is part
of the applied equipment course, do you see?
       A. It is, yes.

  Q. There is a syllabus day one, and the time is in the
right-hand column, electricity flow and electrical safety.
       Do you see that?
       A. I do, yes.

  Q. That is given an hour. Then, over the page, page 26,
electricity flow and electrical safety. "Students will be
able to explain how electricity flows through the building,
define voltage amperage, explain maximum demand, wire a
plug correctly, state their legal obligations concerning
       electricity". Do you so that?
       A. I do, yes.

  Q. My question is this, there is no date on this document, do
those references, which I have just shown you, help you to
give us a rough date, at any rate, after which this must
       have come into existence?
       A. Well, I would say it is fairly recent. I would say it
is certainly was relevant up to about a year ago. As to
exactly when did came in, I do not know.

  Q. You cannot tell us?
       A. No.

  Q. Just two other things, Mrs. Barnes.

MS. STEEL: I do not know whether it is worth mentioning, I did
see somewhere it said "Training in the 90" s or something
       like that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If you find it, let us know.

MS. STEEL: "Training for the 90s" on page 355, and 354.

MR. RAMPTON: "Training in the 90s", Mrs. Barnes, it says page 1
of the documents during the last decade. Perhaps one can
infer that -- yes, my Lord it is, in fact, dealt with in,
Mrs. Brinley-Codd points out, the statement of
Mr. Wignall. He says: "Attached to this statement at
appendix 7 is a copy of the management development
programme which is now in operation which was implemented
with effect from April 1992. Although we constantly try to
