Q. OK. Then we will move on from that then. If we go to
No. 144, please, or 44 in your -----
A. The same book?

Q. I think it should be.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The very last document in that volume, 44.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. This is headed: "Euro Bulletin of the
International Union of Food Brokers", yes?
A. Yes, I see that at the top.

Q. This is March 1990 issue, it says on the front. Then if
you go on to the second page, it talks about under Germany
collective agreements covering food catering chains. It
says about annual reduction of working hours has been won
in the form of four additional days of paid leave and then
various other matters, including holiday bonuses, paid
training and educational leave, positive action programmes
for women and things like that.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I am sorry to stand up yet again, but we
are going through exactly the same exercise.

MR. MORRIS: I am just trying to summarise it without quoting
it.

MR. RAMPTON: I know, but it is the wrong way of doing it. My
Lord -- please, Mr. Morris -- I have read that passage from
Phipson it must be at least three or four times during the
course of this case.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I know you do not find it too difficult
because on several occasions you have observed the proper
procedure.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. We do have a witness from the International
Union of Food -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It does not matter; we have not got to this
witness yet.

MR. RAMPTON: What is more, my Lord, I have read Mr. Dan
Gallin's statement; it has nothing about this in it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: But it would not matter one way or the other
because I cannot tell what evidence -- I can have an idea
what evidence might or might not be called, but I cannot be
certain what it is going to be until I hear it. All you
have to do, as has been explained, is give Mr. Stein the
opportunity to get up to speed by reading it is -- it is
only three short paragraphs -- and then ask him, "Is it
right that?" or "Was there an annual reduction etc. as a
result of the agreement?" whatever it is you are hoping
that Mr. Stein may be able to verify.

MR. MORRIS: Can you read that section?

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I add this: It is not right (and
