Day 126 - 17 May 95 - Page 10

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Then I go on to "McDonald's Price Sensitivity
       Research Stage 2, Demographics".

MR. RAMPTON: Yes, that is the MWR document.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, but what is that? How, if at all, does
it relate to the matters left over from last time which
       I have just mentioned?

MR. RAMPTON: That was always in there, the "McDonald's Price
Sensitivity Stage 2". I am being very feeble, my Lord,
       because my memory -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let us take the time to find it out, because
what I am anxious to avoid is, when Mr. Fairgrieve comes
back, finding that we are lacking information which he
could usefully obtain or some things have some things and
       others have not.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, would it help if I put him in the witness
       box?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I was going to suggest is, although
Mr. Morris is not here, Ms. Steel, if Mr. Fairgrieve
explains what he has produced, we will not have any
cross-examination on it at all today, unless you
particularly want to ask questions about it and Mr. Morris
will have the transcript of what Mr. Fairgrieve has said in
       any event.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Ms. Steel, will one of your friends behind
take, if need be, the CaseView laptop back to Mr. Morris so
he can key up what has happened today? I know he showed
less than total enthusiasm earlier in the case, but can he
or is there someone who can help him throw up what has
       happened?

MS. STEEL: I will probably try to pick up the printed
transcript later in the day anyway.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, perhaps I will deal with it?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think it is better you deal with it.

                     MR. FAIRGRIEVE, recalled.
                Examined by MR. RAMPTON, continued.

  Q. Mr. Fairgrieve, can you tell me, have you the yellow bundle
       there, V?
       A. Yes, I do.

  Q. Can you turn, please, to tab 3 where you find your original
       statement, I hope?
       A. I have that, yes.

  Q. Can you turn behind that and right to the back and we will
do it backwards, if we may, before tab 4? What I would
like you to do is, in each of the documents you find going
back towards the front of the file, tell us exactly what
