       for Ralph Kelly?
       A. No. McBingo was something that we used generally
throughout the organisation at that time.

  Q. Pausing there, with those two initial allegations, a
celebrity visit by the footballer, Earl Campbell, and then
the McBingo, were those complaints made by the union in the
       course of the election proceedings?
       A. Yes, they were.

  Q. Did the National Labour Relations Board adjudicate on
       them?
       A. Yes, they did.

  Q. What was the conclusion of the NLRB?
       A. All of the allegations that were made were dismissed.
The NLRB certified the election results. They would not do
that if there had been merit.

  Q. Was that true of the allegation that a staff disco had been
specially put on to please the employees?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. The pay cheques?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Had Ralph Kelly prepared comparative pay cheques?
       A. Yes, he did.

  Q. What did those pay cheques show -- did you see them?
       A. Yes, I did see them.

  Q. What did they show?
       A. There were two pay cheques. One pay cheque where the
actual earnings of the employee for whatever the time
period was -- I do not recall if it was a weekly or
bi-weekly time period -- minus what the union had indicated
would be their union dues, that they expected. I do not
know if "check off" means anything in -- deducted,
       automatically ---

  Q. Deduction?
       A. -- yes, automatic deduction from pay cheques minus
that. The second pay cheque was the exact sum of money
that the union had indicated that it would want checked off
of pay cheques. He did hand them both cheques.

  Q. I assume that in the results if you looked at the two
together the union did not come out favourably on that
       basis?
       A. It showed -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It was a graphic way, I suppose, of
demonstrating how much they would pay to the union out of
       their pay cheque each period?
       A. Exactly, my Lord.

  Q. Do you have any idea at that time what the union dues
       were? Can you recall now?
       A. I believe it was something like one or two per cent of
