able to speak to.

MS. STEEL: Yes, not all of them are, yes.

"The fact sheet complained of was running low by 1989 and
went out of stock in 1990 and was not reprinted as
Mr. Gravett was preparing to update it."

You presumably would not know about the last part because
you were not involved in the group then, but do you confirm
that?
A. Yes.

Q. No. 3 does not concern you.

"After the 1989 fayre the anti-McDonald's campaign was
winding down as people at meetings wished to take up other
issues instead. Both defence witnesses - which is you and
Mr. Gravett - and others, including Michelle Hooker, were
involved in anti-McDonald's activities through Hackney and
Islington Animal Rights, reporting on these at London
Greenpeace meetings. Also Veggies of Nottingham and others
were the ones distributing various versions of
anti-McDonald's leaflets/fact sheets in bulk rather than
people at London Greenpeace."
A. Yes, that is correct.

Q. "Both defence witnesses..." -- sorry, I do not think you
were at the meeting of 25th January so I do not know
whether you can comment on that.

"Both defence witnesses will say that Dave Morris was
effectively not involved with London Greenpeace activities
throughout the period October 1989 to the service of writs
in September 1990, only occasionally dropping in to show
his face and express opinions. He attended the 1989 and
1990 fayres to help out but was not involved in the
organisation and planning for the events. He was not
involved in any anti-McDonald's activities in this period.
In fact, it was his opinion that people around the group
should move on to other issues."
A. Yes.

Q. "Paul Gravett generally dealt with letters relating to
McDonald's. Jane Laporte generally kept an eye on the
answering of general enquiries. Both will say that
Mr. Morris and Ms. Steel barely answered a single letter
during this whole period and would certainly not have dealt
with McDonald's inquiries."
A. Yes.

Q. "Jane Laporte will say that at the meeting she attended on
1st March 1990, Mr. Morris did not say that he had been
strongly involved in the anti-McDonald's campaign and had
organised the anti-McDonald's fayre. If he had said such a
thing, she would recollect it because she would know it was
not true."
A. Yes, that is right.

Q. "Both defence witnesses will say that Mr. Pocklington,
