Day 069 - 19 Dec 94 - Page 41

       not arise again.

MR. MORRIS: That is on the agenda for tomorrow's legal
       argument.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If you think something untoward is going on
at the moment and you want it stopped now, then you can
tell me about it. Otherwise, I am just going to adjourn
and come back at two o'clock.

MS. STEEL: The witness has already admitted talking to people
from the company. I do not think Dave was specifically
trying to refer to the legal advisers, but the company.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am sure you will pay heed to what I said.
Do not talk to anyone about this case at all in the
meantime. If you can just find somewhere to have lunch on
your own, unless you have made some personal arrangement
       with someone outside of court.
       A. We had made arrangements for dinner, so I am just going
       to see ---

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, no. We are just concerned -----
       A. -- sorry, for lunch. I am just going to sit at a
different table. Will that be acceptable?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: As long as you do not talk to anyone about
the case, in case there has been some either good ground
for complaint or misunderstanding in the past. Be
absolutely punctilious about the next hour, please.

                      (Luncheon Adjournment)

                                                    2.00 p.m.

MR. MORRIS: In the extract that we saw, Dr. Gomez Gonzalez ---
       A. This one?

MR. MORRIS: Forget those documents for the moment.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Of the video.

MR. MORRIS: Of the video. Mr. Quintana (I think it was him)
says that they export to chains like McDonald's and
       Burger King?
       A. I did not hear that. I am sorry.

MR. MORRIS: Sorry. He said that they export -- I think the
actual quote was something like they export industrial meat
       for chains like -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: 70 per cent. I think it was to the effect
that 70 per cent of what they exported went as industrial
meat to fast-food chains like McDonald's and Burger King.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. (To the witness): You said that he does not
say "to McDonald's", he says "to chains like McDonald's and
       Burger King"?
       A. That is correct. That is his definition of food chains
that anybody can relate to, but he has never, ever exported
