Day 207 - 23 Jan 96 - Page 60

       A. People will basically come up to me and, unless you are
working a specific, within a specific area, the kitchen or
something, you may have a list of, you know, what shifts
people are working. They would invariably come up and
say: "It is time for me to go", and you say "Well, go".

MR. MORRIS: Because they have reached their scheduled time?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. So, would the general pattern be, if you are scheduled
11.00 to 7.00, at 7 o'clock you approach one of the
Managers and say: "Hey, I have finished, you know, can
       I go?"
       A. Yes.

  Q. Right.
       A. That is my ------

  Q. Would you sometimes say to people, you know: "Well, can
you just do this or just do that?"
       A. I may ask someone if they would not mind doing that,
yes, or if there is a specific task, or if they wish to go,
       they can go.

  Q. Right. I am just trying to find what the general pattern
is. I mean, would it be the tendency that people would do
an extra 10 or 15 minutes after their scheduled time
because you said: "Oh, can you clean up?"
       A. No, I would not say that was a tendency -- they have a
tendency to go at the time they were scheduled.

  Q. I mean, the clock cards we have seen all have, you know,
very few of them end exactly on the o'clock, whatever the
o'clock is. People are generally scheduled, are they not,
       between half hour or hourly?
       A. Or quarter hourly, yes.

  Q. Or quarter hourly. But, I mean, any of the schedules, any
of the clock cards that we look at have got all sorts of
times. So, people do not just down tools at 7 o'clock.
They have to ask for permission to leave. So, would the
general pattern be that in most cases people will work an
extra 10 or 15 minutes or something?
       A. They may work an extra five minutes if, say, the Hunter
is not in sync with the clock in the kitchen or
       the .......

  Q. Anyway, let us just quickly go through these. 377, it is
tab 3 of the second volume. Is it Kevin Easton, the
       Manager?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Kevin Easton. These are audit adjustment reports; is that
       correct?
       A. Yes, they are.

  Q. Made in the early hours of the morning. Those ones are
signed just by the Manager who did it. What is his
       position again, First Assistant?
       A. First Assistant.
