Day 209 - 25 Jan 96 - Page 40

  Q. If there is any inaccuracy in Mr. Morris' note, you would
       say, then let us know.
       A. Right.

  MR. MORRIS: Right.
       A. I am not so sure there are inaccuracies. I think it
has just assumed things that were not -- I have not written
down here. Things have been assumed that were not ......

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Then put it right.
       A. Right, OK.

  Q. If Mr. Morris, you are saying, has shown ------
       A. No, no, I am saying that McDonald's have assumed things
that I have not said even on here.

  Q. No, I am not concerned with what may have been assumed by
       someone else.
       A. OK.

  Q. All I am concerned with (and this is not any criticism of
Mr. Morris) is since that is not actually your statement,
it is Mr. Morris' notes, you are to say if Mr. Morris has
not noted down accurately what you said or meant to say.
       Do you understand?
       A. Yes, OK.

MR. MORRIS: Right. The actual heading which is at the bottom
of the page, for reasons best known to myself, is, "Some
examples of Bath workers having scheduling and PR problems
and breaks problems caused by management. Paul Scott
Shepherd, very many shifts in a row, 1993ish".
       A. Sorry, can I say that that title, you know, implies
that everyone one had a problem, and when we talked we were
just talking about -- because you just asked me for some
names of people who did very long shifts, and I said Paul
Scott Shepherd did very long shifts in a row, 93ish. So,
it is the correct thing. I think the title is a bit
misleading that it assumes they all had problems, and some
of them did not have problems with it. They wanted to work
these long hours because they, you know, were not getting
       enough money.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, pause there.

MR. MORRIS: Shall we scrap the title? That is really my -----
       A. Yes, that is what I think -- you have put a quick thing
down, haven't you, and I think it is, you know, it should
read just people who work long hours and scheduling and
       breaks difficulties ---

  Q. OK.
       A. -- would be a better title.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: I will start again and just stop me if there is
       anything inaccurate?
       A. Right, OK.
