which is that Children's Protection Association, "Regional
Association in Frankfurt gave its support to efforts by the
parents to keep kindergartens free of campaigns of this
sort. However, each kindergarten has to decide for itself
on whether or not to 'allow ronald mcdonald house room'".
Do you know anything about that?
       A. No, I do not.

  Q. I do not know if McDonald's would have any documents on
that, if it is true, whether they wrote to McDonald's or
not, the Children's Protection Association. Just to move
       off that document -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are we going to come back to it?

MR. MORRIS: No, that is the end of that use of that document.
It is a fact though, is it not, that McDonald's is becoming
more involved in stores and kindergarten in terms of Ronald
McDonald visits or displays, or whatever, educational
       material?
       A. ronald mcdonald does visit schools in the United
       States, yes.

  Q. What about kindergartens, I presume that is younger?
       A. I do not remember exactly but I am sure that he visits
       kindergartens as well.

  Q. What would be the purpose of that?
       A. Usually, to have some entertainment show about a
       particular subject.

  Q. What would be the purpose -- just purely entertainment?
       A. Entertainment and usually there is a message; in some
cases it is bicycle safety, in some cases it is child
safety. The shows that we have today are geared to about
age six, seven, eight year-old and some a little bit
higher, but those shows usually have a particular message
that is associated with them. They do not feature any
products or goods and services of McDonald's, except Ronald
       McDonald.

  Q. Which, of course, promotes the corporation?
       A. Yes, or is a symbol of corporation.

  Q. So, if you are purely concerned with entertainment, you
would not need to have a symbol of the corporation, would
you? You would just donate materials or give money to the
kindergarten to pay for a clown?
       A. We have done that as well but, yes, we do have Ronald
as part of that programme as well.

  Q. If we go back to the content of the advertising that we
saw -- let me just have a look at my notes on the ads.
There are about 77 I counted. Yes, ad No. 10, I made it,
this was one of a series of singing Barbi Ads, Happy
Meals. I think this one was the pizza, pepperoni and
       cheese?
       A. Yes, this was in a test market.

  Q. I think in one of them it was a young girl and one was a
