Day 259 - 10 Jun 96 - Page 24
MR. RAMPTON: I am at a loss. I do not know which party's list
of documents -----

MS. STEEL: They are the Plaintiffs'.

MR. MORRIS: A whole file was served called World Wildlife Fund,
I believe, and the Plaintiffs mistakenly (but, as it turned
out, relevantly) disclosed something about Brazilian beef
which was handwritten, and then tried to claim it was
privileged.

MR. RAMPTON: I think -----

MR. MORRIS: They may have removed them from their own bundles.

MR. RAMPTON: We have not removed anything. I think Mr. Morris
is referring to Mr. Jenkins' draft letter, probably. I am
afraid, at the moment -- I could find it if I had a couple
of minutes. My Lord, I think it is probably tab 9A of
volume pink 16.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MS. STEEL: OK. The page I want is page 45, but I have not got
stamped numbers.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What is the document?

MS. STEEL: It is handwritten.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What is the date on it?

MS. STEEL: It has not got a date. It just says "UK",
underlined, in the top left corner.

MR. RAMPTON: The second page, my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, the second sheet of that.

MS. STEEL: It says: "In England McKey Food Services...."

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That is right.

MR. MORRIS: The first page has ------

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No. We have found it.

MS. STEEL: (To the witness) Can you just read that page,
please?
A. The whole of page 2?

Q. Yes. It is not my page 2.
A. (Pause) Yes.

Q. This is an account of the meeting which you attended with
solicitors; yes?
A. No. I do not know anything about the mention of beef.
I do not know where Ian got this from. I take it he got it
from McKey Foods or the purchase department.
