Day 261 - 12 Jun 96 - Page 39

       A. I think I said I was unemployed. I think I said I was
an unemployed ex-student. I do not think I said much more
       than that.

  Q. How old were you at this time, late 1989?
       A. I would have been 25.

  Q. 25?
       A. 24, 25.

  Q. What was the sort of range of age within the group?
       A. There were certainly some occasional visitors to the
group who were probably in their mid to late 40's; possibly
even, on occasions, older. But, in general, I would say
       early 20's.

  Q. So, your age; you fitted in perhaps rather better than
       Mr. Bishop might have done?
       A. Certainly, so far as age is concerned, yes.

  Q. Did you ever take minutes of any of these meetings, do you
       recall?
       A. I recall one occasion when I did; possibly on more
       occasions.

  Q. Was that something you were asked to do or did you
volunteer to do, do you remember?
       A. I do not remember specifically. It could have been
       either.

  Q. Was there a minute book?
       A. Yes, I recall there was.

  Q. What did it look like?
       A. I do not remember precisely. From memory, I think it
was an exercise book of some kind.

  Q. How fat was it?
       A. Not a big book, from memory; but this is a vague
       memory.

  Q. Were minutes taken at every meeting -- proper meeting,
       I mean -- at 5 Caledonian Road?
       A. Every meeting that I recall, certainly, yes.

  Q. What about the meetings at 6 Endsleigh Street?
       A. That, I do not remember. I do not recall people taking
minutes there. It is possible they did.

  Q. If you took meetings, it will have been at the group's
business meetings (if I can call them that) at
       5 Caledonian Road?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Can you just, please, look at your note for -- that is the
other file, I am afraid, Mr. Pocklington -- your note for
29th November 1989, which is on page 41. Mrs. Brinley-Codd
has written that in handwriting at the bottom of the page.

  MR. MORRIS: 29th of what?
