MS. STEEL: In paragraph 11, you say about during the course of
the evening a provisional date was set for the fair, and
that I participated and contributed to this discussion. We
have been through this, and there is nothing in your notes,
and you cannot remember what I would have said. Is that
basically there because the solicitors said you, "Would
Ms. Steel have been taken part in this discussion", and you
said, "Well, I would have thought so"?
       A. I will have to look at the notes for the evening.

  Q. So you are relying on what is in the notes?
       A. Sorry?

  Q. You would have been relying on what was in the notes?
       A. Certainly at this stage I am relying on what is in the
notes. I cannot say what I remembered three or four years
       ago.

  Q. So you cannot tell us what it was -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let us just have a look at them.

THE WITNESS: There is no reference in the notes to your
participation, and I cannot recall at this time.

MS. STEEL: You do not recall how that came to be in there?
       A. I do not recall precisely, no.

  Q. OK. If we move on to 23rd November, this is a meeting at
Caledonian Road with Andrew, John, Jane, Helen, Charlie and
Paul present -- is that correct -- as well as yourself, of
       course?
       A. Yes, that looks to be correct.

  Q. It says:"Due to lack of numbers, the meeting was brief, but
during its course the following information was learned.
Paul Gravett said that he was going to write and publish a
pamphlet on facts against McDonald's, though no date was
given as to when he expected this to be finished."

That is correct, is it; you recollect that -- or you might
not recollect it -- but your notes -----
       A. Yes, that is correct, yes.

  Q. You confirm your notes. It talks about that this was going
to be a pamphlet rather than a leaflet, and then it says --
sorry, this was going to be a pamphlet rather than the
       leaflets which the group has.

Then it says: "It was said that the person who wrote the
original leaflet is no longer with the group." You can
       confirm that, can you?
       A. I can confirm that is what was said.

  Q. Then you go on, later on, to say you arranged to meet with
Andrew Clarke and John, to spend the day answering the
backlog of letters. That was when you volunteered to do
       the letter answering, yes?
       A. That was an occasion, yes. I think there was more than
