Day 172 - 12 Oct 95 - Page 59

MR. RAMPTON: If I may -- I have not read your Lordship's ruling
-- I will reserve my position.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: In so far as I have said in the ruling that
one week, if I have misunderstood the evidence and the
weekly time sheets are in fact for a fortnightly period,
because that is the paid period -- and the only extra
thing, Mr. Rampton, you said, which the weekly time sheets
revealed was the amount that the crew member was paid --
then it will be for a fortnight in each of August 1993 and
1994. But I do not want to embark on reading it; that is
quite unnecessary. When you have seen my reasons, if any
further argument is thought necessary, then of course I
will hear you, because I did not give you an opportunity to
       come back.

MR. RAMPTON: No, that is right. I am grateful, my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will adjourn now and resume at 10.30 on
       Monday morning.
