Day 063 - 07 Dec 94 - Page 39

       A. Yes, yes.

  Q. One recalls that when one mixed them after a time I am
       afraid ---
       A. They are all greyish.

  Q. -- they turn a sludgy, grey colour?
       A. Yes.

  Q. What I was going to ask you is this, is it possible, using
polystyrene waste of that kind, to produce a jolly bright
colour or even a white colour?
       A. A white colour would be virtually impossible, or you
would have to mix in very tiny proportions of the colour
       polystyrene.

  Q. Could you make it black if you wanted to?
       A. Black is very easy because black, in general, will
       over-ride any other colour.

  Q. Would you black coat hanger in the end then be made of
       those little grey pellets?
       A. Yes. So, the supplier of that coat hanger would
actually buy the pellets from Lin Pac.

  Q. Could he blow it with some kind of blowing agent to make it
       back into polystyrene foam?
       A. I would not know.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, those are all the questions I have. I am
       sorry, I have over-run slightly.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Thank you very much, Mr. Van Erp. We will
resume at 10.30 tomorrow morning with Mr. Oakley.
