Day 192 - 27 Nov 95 - Page 30
Q. How do you know that Rob Pinkney was involved?
A. Because Derek Wong was an employee that used to work
there; and the union had given us incident forms to fill
out when we had -- when something that we thought was wrong
happened, you were to get the person that it happened to to
fill out what had happened to them and sign it, and then
I was supposed to witness it. So he had filled out one of
these incident reports.

Q. Who, Derek -----
A. Derek Wong.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Where are we going on this?

MR. MORRIS: I was just doing what I was asked to do.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I know. But where are we going now? I mean,
what are you seeking to get out of the matter of the
petition?

MR. MORRIS: Well, the petition -- management involvement,
basically. .

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Then ask Miss Inglis what she saw, if
anything, of the petition. But anything else is pretty
well bound to be just what she has heard other people say,
which we are not allowed to have.

MR. MORRIS: (To the witness): Bonnie McLellan, she was the one
who was referred to as the contact person on all the
statements; is that correct?
A. I do not know. I have not -----

Q. Well, she was; and that is accepted. She was salaried
management, was she?
A. She was not management, but she was salaried.

Q. Right.
A. She had -- I believe she had like benefits, like eye
doctor things, and such like that, like dentist.

Q. She had specific benefits?
A. Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just pause a moment. (Pause) Yes.

MR. MORRIS: We have heard from Michelle Wetli, a McDonald's
witness, saying that she spent, I cannot remember whether
it was all or most of the day, on the Saturday at
McDonald's, in the store, phoning workers and trying to get
them to sign a petition, and speaking to people at work.

With your knowledge of McDonald's, is it possible to do
that without the sanction of the management?
A. I am sorry?

Q. Is it possible for a crew person to come into McDonald's,
use the phone, talk to all the crew, all day?
A. No. To use the phones, you have to ask management's
permission, because there is a phone -- when you enter the
