Day 262 - 13 Jun 96 - Page 17

Q. On the following page, you have a reference to Marion, who
you said had been involved where the group for about four
years, although her attendance has been somewhat sporadic
throughout that time.

That was not unusual, was it, that people would turn up who
had not been there for ages, but who still had some kind of
connection to the group?
A. No. Throughout the time I was there, there were people
arrived -- there were people who, in my later attendances,
I think, who arrived that I do not recall seeing before,
who were obviously known by all the group and, obviously,
had some influence by virtue of the fact that people
listened to them.

Q. Everybody would have been listened to, would they not?
A. Everyone would have been listened to, but some people
-- it was obvious that some people's views were respected
more than others.

Q. For example, you were listened to when you said anything?
A. I do not ever recall not being listened to. I do not
recall saying much, having said what.

Q. You do not recall giving a -- this is something that Jane
recalls, that you gave a definition of what anarchy meant
to you?
A. I do not recall doing that.

Q. You do not recollect. If we move on to 14th December.
This is a meeting, again, at Caledonian Road. Present, you
have got down Paul, me, Andrew, Jane and Ben. You confirm
that, yes?
A. Yes, I have.

Q. "During the course of the evening, the following information
was discussed which may be relevant to this matter.
Paul Gravett discussed the fact that a new McDonald's
branch would shortly be opening very close to the
Caledonian Road office. It was decided that the exact date
and time of opening must be discovered before any
demonstration can be organised."

Do you recall, with this, whether or not this was to be a
London Greenpeace picket or whether it was a Hackney and
Islington Animal Rights picket which would have covered
that area as well?
A. I do not recall how it was suggested the demonstration
be organised. I do not really recall, other than reading
it, anything else about that, to be honest with you.

Q. So you would not recall whether anybody else said much
about it or anything about it?
A. Anybody else other than Paul?

Q. Yes.
A. I do not recall.

Q. Right. OK. There is a reference, as well, to Ben:
