     1        A.  I have not been in Norway so you can make -- we do not
     2        have -- not all restaurants have the same, all of the same
     3        products; pork in many countries, it is not, we do not use,
     4        we do not have it.

     6   Q.   If we turn over to Sweden, according to that one, the
     7        chicken from Sweden is not exported to Norway, so that does
     8        not take us any further where Norway get their chicken
     9        from.  Then we go on to Brazil.  Braslo have not filled in
    10        the export column, box 3.  Is Braslo an entirely McDonald's
    11        plant or is it a plant that supplies many different
    12        companies?
    13        A.  No, it is a dedicated plant to McDonald's.

    15   Q.   So, did you check?  When you got no answer for something,
    16        did you check with those countries?
    17        A.  Yes, in this particular case we were looking at
    18        exporting, potential opportunities of exporting the product
    19        from Brazil.  The only place that I know they are not
    20        really exporting, they are just processing pork, is
    21        Uruguay.  Braslo receives raw materials from Uruguay
    22        because the government requires, wants, the raw materials
    23        to be used in Uruguay from Uruguay.  So, the raw materials
    24        go from Uruguay, processed in Brazil, in Braslo, and then
    25        back to Uruguay.

    27   Q.   From Uruguay, back to Uruguay again, does that apply to all
    28        three, beef, pork and chicken?
    29        A.  No, only beef.

    32        A.  Yes, I have.

    34   Q.   When they say under "Are animals rested prior to stunning
    35        and slaughtering?", "By law", what does that mean?
    36        A.  That means there are local regulations that require
    37        that.

    40        A.  That is a "yes" according to the law.

    43        with it then?
    44        A.  As far as I can tell, yes.

    47        rested for?
    48        A.  No, I do not.

    50   Q.   This thing with Brazil taking beef from Uruguay and 
    51        returning it to Uruguay processed, is that because there is 
    52        no process plant in Uruguay? 
    53        A.  Yes, that is one of the reasons; (2) because it is a
    54        requirement from the government; (3) because that is what
    55        the customers want.
