       A. 1153

MR. MORRIS: If you can show the court?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No. Let the witness finish.

  THE WITNESS: Sorry.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It does not say anything about a warning
       there, does it?
       A. Sorry, no. I must be mixing it up with Mr. Brian,
except that he was -- yes -- "He had been informed of the
policy re schedule changes." Sorry, he does actually say
there: "I told Connor about our policy at least three
       times."

MS. STEEL: ".....at orientation in the handbook and at the first
crew meeting." It is not a warning, is it?
       A. No.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: There we are. Do you want to ask any more
       questions?

MS. STEEL: You did not investigate it, because you accepted
       their word?
       A. Yes.

  Q. You trusted them to carry out actions on behalf of the
       Company?
       A. Yes. That was their responsibility.

  Q. If they did a good job the Company would take the credit,
and if they did a bad job the Company would have to live
       with the stick?
       A. If they made a mistake, they would be reprimanded. But
       people make mistakes.

MR. MORRIS: The fact is, you were glad that two union activists
       were got rid of?
       A. No, that is not -----

  Q. You were satisfied with the situation?
       A. No.

MS. STEEL: It did not concern you?
       A. Well, it concerns me if we make a mistake; we should
       always try and correct it.

  Q. But you did not do anything to correct this?
       A. To correct the fact that they were dismissed?

  Q. Yes.
       A. No. I depended on my people, if they were doing it
       correctly.

  MS. STEEL: OK.

  MR. MORRIS: No further questions.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Thank you.
