him at the time, and he started crying. That is the only
instance in sort of three years working with Trudie that
I can remember her actually making anybody cry.

  Q. But you say earlier on in that paragraph that she could be
       loud and harsh?
       A. She could be, yes.

  Q. Was she unusual in that respect? Was she particularly loud
       and harsh?
       A. She was, yes.

  Q. She was?
       A. Yes.

  Q. What position was she?
       A. She was First Assistant in the restaurant. She was
also fair. You know, she was loud rather than aggressive.

  Q. She did not pick on particular people; she acted the same
       way to all the crew?
       A. Yes. I felt that was -- although she was quite loud
with the way she spoke, she would be sort of fair and firm
with everybody right across the board. It was not a case
on just picking on selective people.

  Q. But she would be harsh across the board?
       A. Harsh -- I know I have said that but that is probably a
little harsh on her, to be honest.

  Q. What action did you take against her for the way she was
       treating the crew?
       A. She was not treating the crew unfairly in 99 per cent
of cases. I felt -- I did counsel her on occasions, you
know, that she was being a bit noisy.

  Q. But you never said anything to her about you thought she
was being too severe or anything like that?
       A. No, because I did not feel she was. She was just
       loud.

  Q. And harsh?

MR. MORRIS: You said the allegations concerning Trudie Jones
       are exaggerated, correct?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. You say on 32 that Siamak's allegations concerning hours
are similarly exaggerated; is that correct?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. You say the average close for the store was approximately
       1.00 a.m.?
       A. Yes.

  Q. If people want to make a protest about their hours, or did
want to make a protest about their hours, would they go to
       their immediate superior?
       A. They would probably go to who they wanted to in the
restaurant. They could go to the person doing the
