Q. Has that changed in recent years? They used to be paid a
peace rate.
A. They have never been paid peace rate, to my knowledge
anyway.

MR. MORRIS: Can we have the break now?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MS. STEEL: Could we have a longer break?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. I appreciate part of reason for the
break is to just check what further you have to ask, if
anything, but what is the longest you think you could take
when you start again?

MS. STEEL: I doubt if it will be longer than 10 minutes at the
most.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: How long would you like now?

MS. STEEL: Ten past or quarter past.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That would leave plenty of time?

MR. RAMPTON: Yes, my Lord, I have only about four questions.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Quarter past three then.

(Short Adjournment)

MR. MORRIS: Just a question about traceability. You say you
would have some information about the last farm that some
of the animals would be from or would it be the majority of
the animals would be from?
A. We can trace back to the last farm from which we bought
that animal or from which it was presented to the market
from which we bought that animal, every one.

Q. Every one of those?
A. Yes.

Q. You supply McKey's. Do you supply any places abroad?
A. Yes.

Q. Yes?
A. Yes.

Q. You export abroad?
A. Yes, we do.

Q. To Europe is that?
A. Third World, Europe.

Q. That could be any of the animals that you get, or is it any
particular type of animal you export?
A. Depending on the customer's specification, you know,
what they need, what they want.
