       have contained some virgin material.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I intervene to remind your Lordship of
tabs 25, 26 and 27 of pink bundle V which tells us of the
recycled content, at any rate of two cases for 1989, one
for 1990, one for 1991, for kitchen towels, toilet tissue,
happy birthday hats and birthday place mats I think they
are. It does not tell us the actual quantities.

MR. MORRIS: That was only for the UK I presume?

MR. RAMPTON: Yes, I think so.

THE WITNESS: But do they contain any unrecycled material?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I suggest you leave it there, Mr. Morris.

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You can go away and think about the
ramifications of it, what approach you propose to take. At
the moment we have Mr. Van Erp in the witness box and he
       says he cannot tell us.

MR. MORRIS: I am on 7.13 again. The only question I have on
that, it was briefly gone over, transportation packaging
was an average recycle content of about 35 per cent.
I think that was 1991, was it? It went up to 50 per cent
in that year? Is that what you said? I cannot remember
       now.
       A. The amount in 1990, over 1990 was around 35 per cent,
       1991 50 and 1992 I think 71.

  Q. So there was no minimum specification for 35 per cent?
       A. There was a minimum specification for 35 per cent, if
I am correct, in the beginning of 1991. There was a
minimum specification of 50 per cent at the end of 1991 or
beginning of 1992, something like that.

MS. STEEL: On page 7.13 under the transportation packaging
section it says: "He recycled content increased from on
average less than 35 per cent to about 72 per cent." So if
it was less than 35 per cent, presumably, that means there
was not actually a specification of 35 per cent at that
       time?
       A. There was not during 1990, no. Our first request came
in, I think, by the end of 1990.

MR. MORRIS: Does all the transportation packaging -- what
transportation packaging does not go through Perseco?
       A. Any transportation packaging that would be around items
that are not handled by Perseco.

  Q. So all the items that are handled by Perseco, the transport
packaging, is also handled by Perseco?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Is that automatic?
       A. Well, transportation packaging is, yes. Yes, that is
automatic. You cannot transport something without
