Day 072 - 12 Jan 95 - Page 41
at the dining area observation check list or are you
suggesting that there is another one?
A. There is a dining area check list but I think -----

Q. But where would we expect to find any routine system
relating to environment/index.html">litter near the restaurant but outside it?
A. On the dining area check list I know there is a section
that says -----

Q. So it would be this rather than some outside restaurant
check list, would it?
A. Yes, but I do not think this is the one that we have in
the stores. For a start, they are two-sided, the one we
have in the store.

MS. STEEL: So you think it is on the current OCL -----

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I notice that Mr. Stump said that it was
two-sided. It may be by an innocent error Ms. Steel has
extracted only one of two sheets, I do not know.

MS. STEEL: No. We have not got the back of the sheets, so it
might be helpful if we make the application now for the
OCLs to be disclosed.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You think there is another observation check
list, do you?
A. It could possibly be a newer one, but it would be along
the same lines, but I know in the newer one there is one of
the sections that said trash walks are to be completed half
hourly following the trash walk.

MR. RAMPTON: We are going to try to get one now from a
convenient neighbouring location.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What does "front of store" mean to you?
A. It would mean -----

Q. Inside or outside?
A. It would be outside. "Front" refers to generally the
pavement areas and any adjacent areas of the store.

MS. STEEL: That specification is not in the crew training
programme, is it?
A. What, the trash walks?

Q. Yes.
A. I could not quote the training programme word for word,
so I am not 100 per cent sure whether it is in there or
not. Someone from the training department would probably
have more knowledge in that area.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What does "hustle is evident" mean? Nothing
to do with any issue in this case, but what does it mean?
A. "Hustle" in basic terms means being efficient without
running. So, if you were asked to hustle then you would be
asked to work efficiently as possible without endangering
yourself.

Q. It meant something completely different to me but it is a
