Day 260 - 11 Jun 96 - Page 43

       A. I cannot say, because this was the only outside meeting
       I attended.

  MR. MORRIS: Right. OK.

MS. STEEL: Talking about the fair in Finsbury Park, upon which
were several -- sorry -- there was a stall run by
Mr. Gravett where there were several piles of the various
leaflets you had seen at Caledonian Road, plus some you had
not seen before, that is correct, is it?
       A. Yes.

  Q. They were not all leaflets that were from
       London Greenpeace's offices?
       A. No. There were some others there that I had not seen
       before.

  Q. You go on to say: "One of these was an A5 poster
advertising a day of action against McDonald's restaurants
       on 16th October 1990."

At that stage, were you aware or pretty sure that
       McDonald's were the client?
       A. I cannot say specifically. I assumed I must have been
by the fact that I have pointed that particular poster out.

MR. MORRIS: Can we just say that in your statement you refer to
that poster as being in volume 1A, tab 71, or similar. Let
us just get it out so we can see the poster. This was on
the stall which you were behind; yes?
       A. I am sorry, I do not understand.

  Q. Sorry. This is a poster which you say was actually
       on -----

MS. STEEL: At the fair, were you actually helping run the
       stall?
       A. No.

  Q. Or was it only at the George Roby where you helped run the
       stall?
       A. I did not help run the stall at all. At the fair,
I merely turned up. I stayed at the table for about
20 minutes, and then I wandered off and went for a walk in
       the park.

MR. MORRIS: That was at the fair. But the same leaflets got
put into a box and taken over to the George Roby?
       A. Yes.

  Q. So this was similar to -- this was the design -----

MR. RAMPTON: No. He cannot possibly be expected to see it from
there. Let the reference be given or shown.

MR. MORRIS: Fair enough. It is pink volume 1A, tab 71.
       A. You have to help me, I am afraid, because I do not even
       know where to look.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just look at the copy you are going to be --
