Day 241 - 26 Apr 96 - Page 27

or not the farms. I do not mean the farms. I mean the
collection points in Goias used by Goias Carne, at any rate
next week. As I have said, if your Lordship at any stage
feels unhappy about that I am perfectly willing to submit
       to an order for discovery.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, I do not wish to add to anything I said
in my ruling. Unless Ms. Steel or Mr. Morris raise any
objection, I am content you should have until next week to
produce the statement from Mr. Morganti -----

  MR. RAMPTON: I am grateful.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: ----- if that is the route you choose.

MR. RAMPTON: I will keep your Lordship up to date. The only
other thing I would like to do before I leave is two
things, which is to hand in some documents if I may, in
each case with copy of for your Lordship. The first is a
chart done by somebody at Barlows showing the hours that
Mr. Beech worked, taken from each -- yes the hours and
breaks that Mr. Beech worked and took during the 3 relevant
periods at Heathrow. These are obviously not gospel. They
are just supposed to be helpful. If the Defendants can
pick holes in them let them do so, but I have not checked
them, but so far as I know they are.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Very well. Where should they go?

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, in the Heathrow file I would suggest.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, the other thing is that I have copied
some pages from a standard reference book about Costa Rica
which I may, I do not say will, but I may ask for Dr.
Carriere's help with on Monday. I have taken the course of
copying the pages rather than doing what I believe I am
entitled to do which is just to give the other side the
name of the book, simply because it is more convenient.
There is one, I do not ask your Lordship to look at this
       now, at all.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, thank you. (Same handed).

MR. RAMPTON: I though it right to do it so Dr. Carrier himself
can have a look at it if he wanted to before he gives
       evidence.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: He has probably got a copy anyway.

MS. STEEL: I do not know whether I am supposed to be doing
this thing about documents that refer to rainforest and
tropical forests that I mentioned about on Wednesday.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Remind me of that.

MS. STEEL: That there are various documents in the bundle
