Day 185 - 07 Nov 95 - Page 36

your statement in paragraph 4, that: "Cam had previously
owned the franchise of the Hanover restaurant where he had
employed Robert Pinky as a Store Manager. As they had both
worked well together there, Cam engaged Rob as Store
Manager of the restaurant when he took over." Is that
something that you know from chatting to Cam?
       A. I just -- I mean, I do not -- that is what I had took
it as, you know, because Rob had come in with Cam. I took
it that they must have worked well together there and that
Cam had a lot of faith in Rob in running a store and that
is why he brought him here.

  Q. But it is not something you could possibly know yourself,
       is it?
       A. No, unless I asked him, but I never asked; and I never
saw the two of them work together in Hanover, because
I have never been to that store.

MR. MORRIS: Have you ever worked in any other McDonald's
stores? It is the last point now.
       A. I have worked for one day in the Georgetown McDonald's
store, because they were having the crew Christmas party,
so a lot of us from the McDonald's Orangeville restaurant
went to Georgetown to work there, so that all the crew
could go to the party. That was a long time ago, though.

  Q. That is the only other McDonald's store you have ever
       worked in, is it?
       A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: We do not have any further questions.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Thank you.

MR. RAMPTON: I have no re-examination, my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Thank you, Miss Iurilla.

                       (The witness withdrew)

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Unless you particularly wanted to call
Miss Wetli straightaway, we will start again at
       two o'clock.

                       (Luncheon Adjournment)

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Thank you for the copy statement, Mr. Morris.

MS. STEEL: I just wanted to ask something before we start.
When I brought up about the hearsay the other day, I was
not sure which parts you ruled out in the end. Is it
possible to -- it was pages 9, 11 and 15.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I ruled out the words you mentioned on
       page 9, paragraph 25.

MS. STEEL: I mean, I was actually complaining about the whole
paragraph, and I am not clear what has been ruled out of
       it.
