Day 087 - 10 Feb 95 - Page 35
read, the letter that goes with it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: For the time being, shall I put that in
yellow VIII, section B, behind Mr. Clark?

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. Anything else for the time being,
Mr. Rampton?

MR. RAMPTON: No more admin, my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Right. You have to decide where you want to
go next. Since so many topics have been touched on, I have
made out a list for my own purposes. Some of them have
been dealt with, but I got to No. 27 of the topics which
have been raised which might justify a decision from me.
Mr. Rampton has spoken on some of them but by no means
all. In other words, he has not yet replied to you.

The question is whether you want to go on now or whether
you want to call it a day, go away. If the latter and if
in any event you are not going to finish all you want to
say, even if you do decide to go on now, we have to think
about when we are going to come back to the matters.

MR. MORRIS: To be honest, I am finding it is becoming
unmanageable, the amount of outstanding matters, and the
way they are being taken over a long period, and also some
have not been replied to, some the Plaintiffs have
indicated, for example, on documents they are looking into
it but an order has not been made. I think on the subject
of documents it is very helpful if an order is made because
then we all know where we stand and either these documents
are given or they are not given with reason. Because I do
not know, for example, from seeing that Plaintiffs' list
they have just handed, to me obviously it does not
represent all the documents that they have indicated they
are looking for. I am not satisfied with some of the
points in it anyway. But it is like having to
cross-reference that with the previous application and the
application before that. It is just getting
administratively unmanageable in terms of just knowing what
is actually on the boil and what is a subject of an order
what is waiting for on order. So, I think it would be
helpful if on the matters which you have not ruled upon yet
-- my memory is from Monday there were quite a few matters
-----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have not even heard Mr. Rampton's reply to
them yet.

MR. MORRIS: On the documents I believe he replied to every
application.

MR. RAMPTON: No, I have eight categories on which I am due to
reply.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We have also got some open ends, in case you
want to say more, for instance, if we go straight back to
