Day 207 - 23 Jan 96 - Page 61

  Q. Yes. Then over the page we have another one signed just by
the Manager. I am going to refer to a couple
       specifically.
       A. It is Wedoupa(?).

  Q. Yes. Then if we keep moving on, we have Mr. Richards
signing an adjustment report. Most of them seem to be
people that have forgotten to clock out, yes, or actually
some have not clocked in -- as we are going through these,
it is Mr. Richards' ones, it is people that have not
clocked out and a couple that have not clocked in or out.
Do you accept that? It is not a trick question.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, that is not all; there are dozens of
       these pages.

MR. MORRIS: Yes, I am just saying what we have looked at so
       far.

MR. RAMPTON: I do not know if one really needs to go through
the whole body of it. If Mr. Morris likes to present us
with a tabulated account of what is to be found and see if
we agree it, the same as we have done with the others, that
       is fine.

MR. MORRIS: You did not do it; you employed someone to do it
and I have not got that time. (To the witness): The next
page, 380, is the same. I am just being fair by going
through them all. There are some specific things I wanted
to bring up. Signed by the Manager only. The next one 381
is also signed by the Manager only.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can I just get the feel of this? I suppose
we can look it up, but there might be 44 people working
during the course of that day, might there?
       A. If it was the Saturday -- it would depend on the
       individual day.

  Q. Yes, it would but there might be something like that?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. We could probably look at 6th August and find out how many
there were there. It means, does it, that looking at
page 379, out of the 40 or however many there are, two
failed to clock in, well, one person ---

  MR. MORRIS: One person.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- failed to clock -- one person failed to --
I think we had better, just so I make sure, what did 004/1
do or fail to do? He or she clocked in at 7.55 in the
       morning?
       A. Maybe if we go back to the clock card file, it may
       help.

MR. MORRIS: I am not sure we have got the clock cards for that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can I tell from page 379 what the person did
       fail to do or not?
