Q. It accords, does it not, with Omid Shafibeik's account
which we have just looked at?
A. What I actually said is that what actually happened
with dates and times is, obviously, something that I have
not got any record of, and I cannot confirm exactly, but
the actually workings of what took place in both
statements, although there are slight differences, the
main bones of the thing actually happened as stated. I
mean ----

Q. At any rate, you would agree that it occurred in the late
summer of 1984?
A. It would have been around about that time, to the best
of my knowledge.

Q. You joined the Colchester store in August of that year,
did you not -- I think it was August?
A. No I actually started in the July but I did not become
a Trainee Manager until the November. So I was a
security ----

Q. In the light of that answer, I am going to ask you to look
at your own career record which you will find (if I have
not lost the vital piece of paper) behind your statement.
It is the first document behind your three statements.
A. Yes, I have it.

Q. You will see that the first entry is 20th August 1984. Do
you see that?
A. Yes.

Q. In fact, you joined -- it calls you "crew" -- as Security
Co-ordinator. What job was Security Co-ordinator?
A. It was an hourly paid, it was classed within the crew
brackets and, basically, it was looking after the security
of the store, fire precautions, safety precautions, that
type of thing.

Q. It was an hourly paid job?
A. It was an hourly paid job.

Q. You did not become salaried until 1st November 1984 when
you became Trainee Manager, correct?
A. That is correct.

Q. You became Second Assistant on 1st March, yes?
A. Yes.

Q. You passed the BOC, so that probably means you became
Second Assistant on 1st March 1985, correct?
A. Correct.

Q. Then you were promoted to First Assistant on 1st April
1986, is that right?
A. Yes.

Q. Then at the time of this Colchester McDonald's Freedom
Fighters incident, you were not even a Trainee Manager,
were you?
