Day 128 - 24 May 95 - Page 58
copy of the World Organisation Report and other reports
such as that.

MR. RAMPTON: No, my Lord. That was volunteered; they wanted to
rely on it.

MS. STEEL: The Plaintiffs are relying on this report as well;
it has been mentioned a number of times.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If I had been asked to order you to do that,
I would be surprised if I would have done, in fact.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, might I ask Mrs. Barnes a question?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: Mrs. Barnes, do you keep copies of that Government
document in the office?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, she said she has several. The easiest
route is to bring one.

MR. RAMPTON (To the witness): Mrs. Barnes, are you going to
back to the office tonight?
A. Yes, would you like me to bring one in tomorrow?

MR. RAMPTON: Yes. Could you bring one and bring one, if you
can, that is not marked. Can you do that?
A. Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: How long is it, in fact?
A. 60 or 70 pages.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you bring a couple in?
A. I will see what I can find.

MS. STEEL: Thank you.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What about the Task Force minutes,
Mr. Rampton?

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I do not know. I would require the
Defendants to make an application for specific discovery of
particular meetings, relating to particular events at
particular times.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: They cannot possibly do that, because they do
not know at which Task Force meetings they were discussed.
The best evidence they can possibly -- do you even know at
which meetings, for instance, the statistics and the
particular number of electric shocks were discussed?

THE WITNESS: No, I would have to go back and check.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I am not at all agreeable just to making
a broad disclosure on that basis. True it is, it might be
said that, for example, discussions about electric shocks
prior to the Mark Hopkins' incident might be relevant.
That I do see. True it is that any Task Group meetings
which discussed implications for the Company, which are not
