Day 193 - 28 Nov 95 - Page 29

just -- it is on McDonald's property.

  Q. You went to the crew meeting the night before the election,
       did you not?
       A. Yes, I did.

  Q. And I dare say you felt some hostility?
       A. I do not know whether it was hostility or if it was
       frustration. I felt I was -----

  Q. A large number of your former supporters had turned against
       you, had they not?
       A. Yes.

  Q. The reason for that was, was it not, that they felt
       betrayed by you?
       A. That is what is written there. I do not believe
I betrayed them, because I did not promise them the things
that they said that I promised them.

  Q. You told us yesterday, Miss Inglis, that your pay rate when
you left -- and you did it from memory, so this is not a
criticism -- your pay rate when you left was $6.30, you
       thought; is that right?
       A. Yes, I think so.

  Q. Would you accept from me that it was $6.45?
       A. I do not know. I do not know why I would believe that.
Like, is it written down somewhere, or -----

  Q. Would you accept from me that you had a pay rise on
1st November 1993, the day the hearings began?
       A. Yes, I would, because the NBP Government had increased
       the minimum wage in Ontario.

  Q. The?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You said that was the occasion when in
       fact ---
       A. I kept my increment.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- the wages went up pro rata the minimum
       wage increase.

MR. RAMPTON: Can I suggest that you were at that stage 30 cents
       above minimum?
       A. What was minimum?

  Q. Minimum at that stage was $5.90, and you went up to $6.20?
       A. Because of the minimum wage increase, is that what you
       are saying to me?

  Q. Did I say $6.90? I meant $5.90. The minimum wage until
January 1994 was $5.90. If you do not know, say so.
       A. I am just trying to -- I am having a hard time
understanding what you are trying to tell me, that is all.

  Q. I am trying to suggest to you this, that during the time of
the union business, you got regular wage increases from
       McDonald's?
