Day 193 - 28 Nov 95 - Page 31

       A. I may have. I do not especially like it when people
call us kind of a union family, I mean, because how I found
out about Bill 40 and how I found out about labour
legislation was from my own actions, listening to the news
and reading the newspaper and asking questions. But the
way I have been brought up has been in a very liberated
home. Yes, OK, my parents are still, you know, authority
seekers or takers, or whatever you want to call them, but
I believe that I have been brought up more liberated than a
       lot of people my age.

  Q. On page 20, in the left-hand column at the bottom, you have
written something about Cam firing a woman because she
called a manager a bitch. Do you see that bit?
       A. Yes, I do.

  Q. Was the name of that woman who was fired Janice White?
       A. Yes -- White.

  Q. Did you witness this incident yourself?
       A. No, I did not. She told me about it.

  Q. Yes. Then, on the right-hand column at the bottom -- I am
going over to the next page -- there is a passage about a
girl we now know to be Sabina Iurillo, is there not?
       A. I am sorry, whereabouts are you looking?

  Q. Just on the facing column, the last paragraph, "There were
a lot of people talking about problems at work, even this
one girl", and so on, "who is a major anti-union supporter
       now". Yes?
       A. Yes. I believe I am talking about Sabina Iurillo
       there.

  Q. This is supposed to be Sabina Iurillo?
       A. Yes.

  Q. "Was a total union supporter in the beginning"?
       A. Yes, she is.

  Q. Is that a true statement?
       A. Yes, it is. She signed a card.

  Q. Did she -----
       A. She came to the first meeting on August 19th. Cards
were given out the 25th; and I believe Chris Morrison
signed her up one day later, so -----

  Q. She never joined your committee, did she?
       A. No, I do not believe so.

  Q. And she never recruited anybody else, did she?
       A. No, because she was not at the second meeting where the
sort of committee was made up and where people took names
of who they were going to sign up with the union or talk to
       about the union.

  Q. Then you go on to recite a tale, to the effect that Cam
threatened her because she had a second job at Northern
Reflections. That is the effect of it?
