1 Q. For "Reusables" for the same year the number was 274.9?
              A. Yes.
     2
         Q. In 1983 the figures were 6.8 for disposables and 231.5 for
     3 reusables, yes?
              A. Correct.
     4
         Q. In 1989, which was the year of the Fairfax County Study
     5 itself, was it not?
              A. Yes.
     6
         Q. The reusables figure was 409.8; that would be the 410
7 Mr. Felix was referring to.
              A. That is correct.
     8
         Q. Whereas for disposables the 1989 study showed a mere 2, is
     9 that right?
              A. Correct.
    10
         Q. I am only reading them out because it helps to get them on
11 the transcript. I know you can read them. You do not
have to confirm it, but it gets them on to the
12 transcript. It says at the bottom, "Accepted standard for
bacteria on eating utensils (established by National
13 Research Council) = Less", or perhaps one should say "not
more than", "100 colonies per utensil"; is that right?
    14 A. Yes.

15 Q. Can you think of a reason why it is that one has that, not
only the striking contrast in actual numbers, but that
    16 from 1976 to 1989 -----

17 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Miss Steel, are you feeling all right?

18 MISS STEEL: To be honest, I am feeling quite ill.

19 MR. JUSTICE BELL: I will break off.

    20 (Short adjournment)
                                                           2.00 p.m.
21 MISS STEEL: Thank you for the adjournment.

22 MR. RAMPTON: Mr. Langert, when we adjourned we were, I think,
at a chart on page 66 of pink bundle IV?
23 A. What tab number is that?

    24 Q. I am sorry, is tab No. 2, page 66.
              A. OK.
    25
         Q. You have told us this is one of the documents produced by
26 the Fairfax County study in 1989?
              A. Yes.
    27
         Q. Reflecting the results of a research. We had noted that
28 the bacterial colonies for disposables were markedly less
numerous than those for reusables for any given implement
    29 or utensil, right?
              A. Correct.
