Day 169 - 04 Oct 95 - Page 40
Q. Yes, I am just trying to tie you down to if you can
remember any specific grade for a specific section of the
full field audit which you did for the West Ealing store?
A. Well, I have actually answered that, B minus, B.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just listen for a moment. What you told us
is that I thought you said originally -- I may have
misheard -- you did one full field, the grades were Bs, B
minus, C plus, may have got one of those a notch out. But
what Mr. Morris is asking you now, can you remember what
the specific grade was for a specific part of the full
field audit which you can identify? Give me the title of
one compartment of the full field audit.
A. OK. Quality, to the best of my recollection, was a
B minus.

Q. How many stores were there when you were Senior Supervisor?
A. I originally started with, I think it was, eight stores
and progressed to 14 before I left.

Q. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: Those 14 stores -----

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, might I intervene? I believe the
synchrony might have slipped because the question your
Lordship asked was how many stores was Mrs. French
responsible for when she was Senior Supervisor in -- I am
sorry, it is my fault -- no, the synchrony has not slipped.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: As I understand it, it was while you were a
Senior Supervisor that West Ealing came within your -----
A. Yes, that is right.

Q. When you were a Supervisor, an Area Supervisor, was West
Ealing one of your stores?
A. No, it was not.

MR. MORRIS: So when you were a Senior Supervisor you had 14
stores?
A. Initially, I started off with eight.

Q. As a Senior Supervisor?
A. I was a Senior Supervisor.

Q. Then it went up to 14, and that would have been during the
1980s?
A. I became Senior Supervisor in 1984.

Q. Right. Each of those stores you would have done a full
field audit, you would have been involved in doing that
full field audit, would you, every six months?
A. Approximately every six months, yes. If there was a
problem store, we would have done a full field audit more
frequently.

Q. So something like 20 to 30 full field audits a year you
did, something like that?
A. Sorry?
