energy each year.

Incidentally, Mo is an old timer in the group, sort of
thing. He had been, he was, the sort of person who had
been involved in the group for years, but who really only
came sort of sporadically. I think he was quite keen on
the fayres. I certainly know that he has organised some of
the later fayres.

Moving on to page 47, 14th December 1989,
Mr. Pocklington again. The final paragraph on that page.
"Next Tuesday there are plans for some people to come into
the office and have another go at answering letters. It
was not specified which members of the group should turn
up, just those who are willing to help." Obviously, I
cannot remember specifically that being said on that at a
time but that is typical of the way the group operated. As
I have said before, someone would bring up that something
needed to be done and whoever wanted to would turn up and
help out. And if you did not want to, you know, you would
not get a load of aggro' from other people, from other
people in the group.

I never liked answering letters and always tried to
avoid getting having to answer any. I think I probably
only answered a very few letters sent to London
Greenpeace. I remember answering some to do with the Billy
Graham demonstration, which I had organised in 1989 where
we did a protest when Billy Graham was doing his tour,
doing a speech or a sermon or whatever you want to call it,
at Earl's Court and we organised a protest against that.
And I remember replying to a few about the IMF, but that is
about it. I did try and avoid answering letters whenever
possible.

Mr. Claire's notes of 4th January 1990, page 53.
Where he says "McDonald's is still a main target for London
Greenpeace." McDonald's was one of the campaigns that some
people were involved with. There were lots of other
campaigns, it was not the major campaign. The only thing
is that in terms of public response it probably was the
most popular campaign, because, in terms of the number of
letters that were coming in, there were usually more about
McDonald's than any other subject that got read out at the
beginning of meetings. So it was not that the group saw it
as the main focus or main campaign, it was that it was a
popular campaign in terms of response from the public.

On page 54, the following page, there is reference to
Stephen, who later is described by Mr. Claire as Jonathan,
I think on page 80 of the notes, which is the 15th February
1990. Mr. Claire has got him down as John, and then says,
"Recorded as Stephen at the first meeting. Tonight he was
called John. Tall. Dark hair with a ponytail and thick
lenses." That is actually Jonathan, and he was never known
as John or as Stephen; he was always called Jonathan. So,
that is just an example of the inaccuracy of Mr. Claire's
notes.

Also, that the meeting referred to on page 55 of the
