       them.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you know when they were taken?

MS. STEEL: No, it says where they were taken but it does not
       say when.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just show them to Mr. Rampton.

MR. MORRIS: I would just like to say that in terms of slightly
related to the last point, that Mr. Siddique brought up a
lot of evidence about the other stores that he had been
manager of which were not in his statement. But we are not
making a complaint about that because that is useful
evidence, whether we agree or disagree, but it is not just
when you have solicitors that you do everything that you
       should do either.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I suggest you do is that -- in fact, you
       could ask ----

MS. STEEL: If it is any help, I have photocopies of the
       photographs.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, for the time being, I suggest you ask
Mr. Siddique to look at those and ask him whether he has
ever seen a situation like that during his managership in
       Smith Street.

MS. STEEL (To the witness): Have you ever seen that kind of
       situation in Smith Street?
       A. No.

  Q. During the time -- you have not?
       A. No.

  Q. How do you personally know whether environment/index.html">litter patrols took
       place?
       A. As I said before, that if I am the shift manager, then
I will go and perform exactly like a shift manager will
do. The other thing is that if I am not a shift manager
but I am present in the restaurant, then I will check on my
shift managers or dining area host or hostess. I will just
do spot checks or, otherwise, when I come to work or when
       I go home.

  Q. So, other than the four observations you make when you walk
around the route, perhaps, four per shift, maybe only two
-- you said between two and four?
       A. Yes, it depends.

  Q. You are relying on the word of the dining area hostess or
host that these environment/index.html">litter patrols are taking place?
       A. No. If I am present at that time, then the shift
manager, the person who leave will report that such and
such a person is leaving in case of fire. That is a safety
precaution. If there is a fire and you know somebody has
gone for environment/index.html">litter patrol, so you know the person has gone
       out.
