A. I did, yes.

Q. The Supervisors, those two Supervisors and the other
Supervisors, they are the people who basically are
entrusted to monitor what was happening at store level and
provide information to the senior Supervisors above them?
A. They are one source of information on a restaurant's
performance that comes in to a senior Supervisor.

Q. Right. What is the other source?
A. Well, I obviously would visit the restaurants, I would
speak to the restaurant managers myself, observe how the
restaurant was doing. There are many indications of
restaurant performance, such as the monthly profit and loss
statements that came out of there, customers' complaints;
Human Resources would go in there and conduct audits.
There are many of sources of information about a
restaurant's per performance.

Q. How often are audits done on stores?
A. Which audits would they be?

Q. Well, say full field audits.
A. Annually.

Q. That would be a main source of information, would it, or
the major source of information for people higher up?
A. An important source, but I would not say it was the
major source of information at all.

Q. I do not know if you have this document in front of you,
the unsigned statement of Tim Taylor?
A. I have not seen the unsigned statement of Tim Taylor.

MR. RAMPTON: Mrs. Brinley-Codd has a spare copy. Perhaps I can
pass it up. It has not been filed yet.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Thank you. (Handed)

MR. RAMPTON: It has been signed.

MR. MORRIS: We have not actually received the signed copy.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is it in the same form as theirs?

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, it is not in that file, because it is a
Civil Evidence Act statement.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is in 13, is it?

MR. RAMPTON: Yes, it will be in 13 at tab 45. I do not know if
your Lordship has it. I hope so.

MR. MORRIS: (To the witness) Is Timothy Taylor somebody whose
opinion would be valued and respected by someone such as
yourself?
A. Yes.

Q. Let me just go, first of all, to paragraph 9. At the
bottom, he says: "After Mr. Coton took over the management
