Day 267 - 21 Jun 96 - Page 05

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, there is an additional problem
       also -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Rampton has to have copies -----

MR. RAMPTON: -- of what he says.

MR. MORRIS: I mean, I do not have any of the references.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No. Right. You have got Mr. Olive to call?

MR. MORRIS: Yes. Would you like to go into the witness box?

                      DANIEL PETER OLIVE, Sworn
                     EXAMINED BY THE DEFENDANTS

MR. MORRIS: Can you give the court your full name, please?
       A. Daniel Peter Olive.

  Q. Right. You live in Bath, do you?
       A. At the moment, yes.

  Q. And currently are you a student?
       A. At the University of Bath, yes.

  Q. Now, it would probably be a good idea if we try to track
       down your statements.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, there is a volume behind your right
shoulder, a pale blue, at the top, Mr. Olive, number 2,
       please.

MR. MORRIS: We will need the Logan statements as well.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: I believe there should be three sheets.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I am going to do is I am going to open
the bundle at 25. It does not actually have Mr. Olive's
statement in it, which is 25A, and I am going to -----

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I gave a spare set to the stenographers
       this morning.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have put a post-it on Mr. Olive's letter
but, in fact, they are loose. So if Mr. Olive has
Mr. Logan's divider and two separate sheets, one being "to
whom it may concern", a letter of the 24th January of this
year, and the other is a 19th April, 1995 letter.

MR. MORRIS: Right. Can I say the documents that we will be
referring to, there is certainly his letter of 19th April,
1995, resignation letter, there is his statement to us, "to
whom it may concern", 24th January 1996. There is also his
reference which I have got appended to those. I do not
       know, that should be ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is there a copy of that, because that was
       not in the bundle either?
