Day 267 - 21 Jun 96 - Page 71

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is it not the position that all Miss Steel
and Mr. Morris have to say is whether it is in their
       possession, custody or power?

MS. STEEL: Well, it is not.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Now, or are you asking for more than that?

MR. RAMPTON: No. It may be I would think to ask a question in
cross-examination but I would like to know what has
       happened to it.

  MS. STEEL:  It is not in our possession, custody or power;
       whatever the phrase.

MR. RAMPTON: That is a different question because I want to
explore that. If they are saying it is still extante and
they do not have any power to produce it to the Court, I do
       not know.

MR. MORRIS: I do not know.

MS. STEEL: The group has moved office about three times since
       then.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I do not need any detail. You have said it
is not in your possession custody or power. If you know
whether it is still in existence, Mr. Morris has said he
       does not.

MR. MORRIS: I do not know.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: And Miss Steel has indicated that she does
       not.

MS. STEEL: I do not know.

MR. RAMPTON: I will hear what is said. I will not take any more
time. I do not pretend to be satisfied.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If you want to pursue it in any way, then do
it at some other time. We will continue with Mr. Claire at
10.30 on Monday morning and what I have in mind to do is,
if you finish before 1 o'clock, we will have any
re-examination and call it a day. If I have to stop you
which I hope I do not have to at 1 o'clock then Mr. Rampton
can have a few minutes after 1 o'clock to re-examine after
if he wants to, but then we will adjourn. But you will be
away soon after 1 o'clock, Mr. Morris.

(The Court adjourned until Monday 24th June at 10 o'clock)
