Q. Right. So people answering letters, that would happen
before meetings in your experience?
A. Yes. Before meetings or whenever the opportunity
arose for those who were responding.

Q. Did you generally get to the meetings on time before they
started or were you someone who turned up late?
A. I cannot recall. I probably did not keep to a strict
pattern. I may have turned up on time punctually. I may
have turned up after a couple of minutes. The meetings did
not all start on time anyway, but I cannot recall.

Q. Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Now, is there any other particular question
you want to ask this evening, subject to the matter you
asked about earlier?

MS. STEEL: Nothing that is urgent, no.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Because we will break off.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, can I say that I am quite happy to deal
with the matter earlier. Mrs. Brinley-Codd did not know
what it was because she was not in Court. She has asked me
to ask your Lordship if you will deal with it first thing
in the morning so I can discuss it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Why is that? We will go into Chambers now.
Do you mind leaving Court, please?

MR. RAMPTON: Would your Lordship say what time Mr. Claire needs
to come back on Friday?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: How long?

MS. STEEL: He should stay because if we get the leave to ask
the questions, we shall ask the questions.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We are going to take it step by step. Step.
If I decide you can ask the question, we will open Court
again and you can ask it this evening.

MS. STEEL: Right.

(The Court adjourned into Chambers)

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What is the forecast with the length of time
for Mr. Olive? You did not get an additional statement
from him, did you?

MR. MORRIS: No, we deliberately did not.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, well is Mr. Olive going to be very long?

MR. RAMPTON: No. He will be very short I would guess

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think Mr. Claire should be here at 10.30 on
Friday. He will not start at 10.30 but rather than give a
