Day 270 - 28 Jun 96 - Page 25

       A. No.

  Q. Did you ever see anyone tell somebody else what to do or
       anything like that?
       A. No, definitely not, no. Sometimes it was difficult to
determine actually if anything had been decided at all. I
had been used to seeing meetings conducted in a formal
manner where there was a clear decision on something, but
in these meetings that was not the case.

  Q. Then you noted that:

"Dave started to read out the contents of the wire in-tray
while the rest of us continued with the leaflet folding and
       stuffing of envelopes."

When you say "the rest of us", that would have included
       you?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Just on the next page, you said, in the second paragraph,
the first full paragraph in the middle of that paragraph:

"MMH - that is Michelle Hooker, your co-agent - was called
upstairs to speak to Jonathan on the telephone and
apparently arranged to meet in the Ealing area to take some
       part in this activity."

What was your impression or knowledge about Michelle
       Hooker's activity in the group?
       A. As far as I can recall, that was her initial
involvement in activities, that she actually started
getting involved with that actual issue, but after that I
do not know about any other involvement that she had.

  Q. Right.
       A. But I believe she did start involving herself in
       activities of the group.

MS. STEEL: You go on to talk about the fayre being discussed
and arrangements being made between the main members as to
what each one's responsibility was to be in the
organisation of the fayre and what their input would be on
the day of the fayre. Do you have any recollection about
how that was done, you know, how it was gone through in
terms of was everybody involved, how were people saying
that they would become involved, or anything like that, or
do you just not remember much about it at all?
       A. As far as I can remember, there was a discussion as to
what sort of events would be a good idea to have at the
fayre and then anybody who wanted to do a specific thing
was left free to take over that role and put it into
action. But there was no delegation or anything. It was
just sort of left open to volunteers, and not everybody
       opted to do something.

  Q. Right. In fact you go on to say that still nobody had
volunteered for the creche and so you said that you would
try to make some inquiries and try to -- sorry, you said
that you would make some inquiries and try to organise
