wanted all along.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. All I am doing is rather than just
saying, yes, that is sufficient, I am giving you an
opportunity to have a look at it. If you come back and say
there is more which you want, I would like you to apply any
such application to some particular issue in the case which
you think it may help on, not just say scheduling
generally, but some particular issue within the scheduling,
short staffing, long hours, general issue.

MS. STEEL: There is one question which, perhaps, it might be
worth the Plaintiffs looking into and answering, which is
that this just says "Drive-through" on the front, and
whether or not there is a similar document for the
non-drive-through stores.

MR. RAMPTON: Yes. That is perfectly fair question. I should
have mentioned that. The one we happen to be supplied with
happens to be marked "drive-through", though I understand
(though I will have this checked) that the principles are
precisely the same for every different kind of store. If
there are any material differences in the documents used --
I say material differences -- in what one might call
pedestrian restaurants, then, of course, we will disclose
them, but I am instructed -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It seems to me it is worth making that check
because one's initial reaction might be: Why put either
drive-through or pedestrian on it if it is the same
whatever it is? But if you are going to ......

MR. RAMPTON: I will check it, my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think it would be better to check it and
then we will know where we are.

MR. RAMPTON: Mrs. Brinley-Codd is fairly confident that the
answer I have given is the correct one.

My Lord, I have no further applications in relation to
anything, I do not think, leaving only the question of
scheduling.

MR. RAMPTON: I do not know if the Defendants have any other
substantive applications?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am looking at my own check list which I
made out.

MR. RAMPTON: If not, then I will begin on scheduling.

MR. MORRIS: I do have some matters that might be worth clearing
up before the lunch break.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Press ahead with yours and then we will come
to scheduling. Are they substantive applications or just
matter you want to raise?

MR. MORRIS: I do not think any of them are substantive, no. A
