  Q. I will move on from that. You have some European
       experience for McDonald's?
       A. A little bit, yes.

  Q. And responsibility -- if I can find your statement -- in
terms of advice and training; is that correct?
       A. That is right, yes.

  Q. Since 1992?
       A. And until ---

  Q. Until May?
       A. -- until May this year.

  Q. Do you have any responsibility now?
       A. No, I do not.

  Q. So, for two years. The way ronald mcdonald is used here,
do you happen to know -- you said you have experience of
Scandinavia -- whether that is allowed in Sweden? Some of
the things that are done here, are they unlawful in Sweden?
       A. There are differences in codes and practices in the
different markets across Europe. The detail of those,
I would have leaned very heavily on the local marketing
people for; I did not get into the local detail of that.
We would have complied with whatever was appropriate in
       those countries.

  Q. What is the code from Sweden, as far as you know?
       A. I have no idea.

  Q. Are you aware that they have restrictions on the use of
       clowns for promoting foods?
       A. I am aware they have restrictions. I was not sure if
it was of clowns promoting food.

  Q. What is your understanding of the situation?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is obviously rather limited, so why do you
not straightaway put what the differences are what they
will not allow which UK regulators will?

MR. MORRIS: To be honest, all I know is that there are
restrictions; I am not sure what they are.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you know what they are?
       A. No, I just know the same.

MR. MORRIS: You just know there are restrictions but not on
       clowns?
       A. No, I know that there are restrictions but I do not
know what they are, to what extent they exist.

  Q. Denmark is a Scandinavian country, is it not?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Are you aware of any laws against the use of toys,
promotion of food by using toys, in Denmark?
       A. There is. I am aware of some regulations on food and
