Day 260 - 11 Jun 96 - Page 44

are you going to hand that up?

MR. MORRIS: To save time, really.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: To save time.

MR. MORRIS: Every time we try and save time, we lose time.

That is the one you referred to in your statement? Is that
the one -- something like that was the one that was
       on -----
       A. It would be something like this. I cannot say it was
the actual one, but it would have been something like this.

  Q. From my recollection of the documents we have in court,
there is only one that is like this in all of the
documents, in terms of the design.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We can argue about that if need be. But all
the witness is saying is that it was something like that or
similar to that, as I understand it.

MR. MORRIS: This would have been on the stall at the
       George Roby, as well?
       A. I would assume so, yes, it was. I think all the
leaflets that were in the fair were taken to the
       George Roby.

  Q. "Organise now in your own area and protest against
dangerous junk food, the murder of animals, destruction of
       rainforests, exploitation of workers", etcetera?
       A. Yes.

MS. STEEL: You said in there something about Andrew Clarke
later turning out to be Charlie. If I say to you that they
       are two separate people -----
       A. I would accept that.

  Q. Do you know why it was that you got confused?
       A. I do not know why it was, but I now know that they were
       two different people, yes.

  Q. Because that crops up somewhere else as well. You say in
the last paragraph on that page: "I stayed at the stall
until 15.30 hours, but little happened apart from some
interest being shown in the leaflets by passersby." That
       is correct, is it?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Was that people picking up leaflets or asking questions
       about it?
       A. Some people stopped to ask questions and others just
       looked at the table.

  Q. Some would have picked up leaflets, presumably?
       A. It is highly possible, yes.

  Q. In your statement, you do not mention anything about the
events at the George Roby -- if you just have a quick look
       at your statement?
