MR. MORRIS: It says London Greenpeace's campaign has grown
dramatically. If he is going to read it, he should read it
as it says.

MR. RAMPTON: In the third paragraph, Miss Laporte, it says:

"Recently McDonald's has started trying to present a
"green" image in order to win public approval. They have
issued three more fact cards, more accurately described as
McLie on deforestation, the ozone layer and food hygiene.
They contain a mixture of plain lies and distortions, and
in order to expose their dishonesty for what it is, we
shall be updating our famous fact sheet "What's wrong With
McDonald's, Everything They Don't Want You to Know" in time
for October 16th 1990."

Now, that famous fact sheet is the six-sided fact sheet
"What's Wrong With McDonald's", which is the subject of
this action, is it not?
A. I presume so.

Q. Yes. In the last paragraph it says this:

"We are calling on groups to picket their local branch of
McDonald's or, where there is not one, Burger King, Wimpey,
et cetera on October 16th or the nearest convenient date.
For details of this year's campaign, including how to
obtain leaflets, please send a stamped addressed envelope
to London Greenpeace, Caledonian Road, London N1."

So that is the press release, is it not, referred to in
Mr. Bishop's note of the meeting on 2nd August 1990?
A. It sounds like it.

Q. It does, does it not? Thank you.
A. Except that this is dated 28th of the 8th.

Q. Sorry, I did not hear?

MS. STEEL: She said except this is dated the 28th of the 8th.
A. Right. So Mr. Bishop had not done it by then.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That does not change your reaction, does it?
A. No.

Q. It is 3 or 4 weeks after the meeting?
A. Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: If you could put the pink one away please, Miss
Laporte, and go back to the agents' notes.

My Lord, with a little bit of leeway I will finish by about
five past one, if that is all right.

Will you turn, please, to page 180, which are Mr. Bishop's
notes for 9th August?
A. Okay.

Q. I want to ask you about a piece of it that you were
