                           (In open court)

MR. MORRIS: (To the witness) I want to come to the Chicago
Union dispute. You will find it at page 14 of your
       statement.
       A. Yes, I have it.

  Q. You said in your statement: "There were allegations by the
union of minor unfair labour practices which were resolved
informally." What minor unfair labour practices
allegations were there from the union?
       A. Where are you reading from?

  Q. Sorry. It is page 14 of your statement, two-thirds of the
       way down.
       A. On 14 or 15?

  Q. Page 14.
       A. OK.

  Q. I presume I have the same statement as you have?
       A. At the top, it says "15", it says "14" at the bottom.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Read the first part of the sentence.

MR. MORRIS: It says: "During the procedure there were
allegations by both Lyon Webber and the union regarding
unfair labour practices. However, these were resolved
       informally."
       A. Yes.

  Q. What were the allegations by the union that were resolved
       informally, do you say?
       A. Which were the ones by whom?

  Q. By the union?
       A. The ones that the union did or the ones that
       Lyon Webber did?

  Q. I am concerned about the allegations made by the union of
unfair labour practices by Lyon Webber and by McDonald's.
       A. OK. There were allegations that the Company had
questioned people about why they would want a union.

  Q. What other allegations were there?
       A. There were claims, again, of which you would call
"sweeteners". That would be the gist of it.

  Q. What about other complaints by the union?
       A. Not that I recall.

  Q. Were any of the unfair labour practice allegations by the
union brought up at the NLRB?
       A. Yes, they were.

  Q. Where were they brought up?
       A. Where were they brought up? They were brought up to
       the NLRB.
