Day 267 - 21 Jun 96 - Page 56

       A. No, I am sorry.

  Q. Can you recall looking through the International Reference
       drawer?
       A. No, I cannot.

  Q. The notes that go with these photographs, you do not know
whether you made them or your principal made them?
       A. I would have made them.

  Q. You would have made them?
       A. Yes.

  Q. For example, you put number 10, and you actually previously
said you did not know whether or not you had made these
       notes?
       A. Well, I say that because I was in the room. My
principal was not. So I would have described the room.

  Q. Your principal was not in the room?
       A. Whether he typed them, I typed them, I do not know,
but I would have probably -- well, I am sure that I would
have dictated the content, at least.

  Q. AntiMcDonald's International Reference drawer. Did you
       look right through this drawer?
       A. From looking at the key to the photographs, I would
have to say, yes, I probably did.

  Q. You cannot have done, Mr. Claire, because it was just
general international reference. There might have been
some letters that mentioned McDonald's, but it was an
international reference drawer of all correspondence from
groups or individuals abroad, whether or not it related to
       McDonald's?
       A. I cannot remember. I am relying on the key to the
       photographs there.

  Q. So, would you accept you could be wrong in the description
that you have got at number 10?
       A. It is a description I made at the time, so I am relying
       upon that.

  Q. You cannot remember now?
       A. I cannot remember now, sorry.

MR. MORRIS: So, are you accepting, then, that you could have
been wrong at the time you made that description?
       A. No, I am saying that those are the notes or the key to
the photographs that I took at that time.

  Q. Yes, but -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: He is not accepting.

MR. MORRIS: Right. If it turns out at the end of the day that
that drawer was International Reference and nothing to do
       with McDonald's, yes?
       A. Yes.
