Day 265 - 19 Jun 96 - Page 27
to page 55C.

MR. MORRIS: Can we work on the numbers of his own notes?

MR. RAMPTON: I will do both if the defendants have not numbered
copies.

MS. STEEL: Or at least give the dates.

MR. RAMPTON: I will give the dates, of course. The notes seem
to end on page 55. Do you see that?
A. Yes, it is.

Q. I just want to draw your attention to a couple of things in
this note. The meeting was at 5 Caledonian Road, which is
the, what I might call, business premises, the offices of
the group?
A. Yes, sir.

Q. Where we understand they had weekly meetings, where they
held what they called public meetings once a month, usually
the last Thursday of each month about 6.00pm?
A. That is correct.

Q. I think you were at both sorts of meetings?
A. Yes, I did, sir.

Q. Do you see in the big paragraph in the middle of that page
you give a description of the room. You say: "The room is
about eight feet by six feet. It is rather small
considering that they have a desk and many filing
cabinets. There are many shelves for all leaflets etc."
Is that the next word?
A. Yes, it is.

Q. "... are kept. All filing drawers are files with
correspondence etc. There is one very large drawer which
is marked 'McNasty' or something like that. They are
rather efficient and generally cover all topics. They
receive letters from all over the world re all types of
subjects, including McD. They do not reply to all letters.
McD is still a main target for... action by London
Greenpeace"

A. That is so, yes.

MR. MORRIS: It says they 'do reply to all letters'?
A. I thought you misread that as well.

MR. RAMPTON: Sorry, I did. "They do reply to all letters. McD
is a main target for London Greenpeace and they still send
anti-McD leaflets out." Then If you turn over to page 55
the last sentence, bottom of the page, page 5 that is, at
the top right-hand side. "Leaflets given to me as I left,
some anti-McD leaflets." Do you see that?
A. Yes I do, sir.

Q. Can I ask you to look at a document, please?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Where is that?
