Day 192 - 27 Nov 95 - Page 43
Q. Who is he?
A. He used to work at McDonald's. He was a mutual friend
of Sabina's and mine. He was not working at McDonald's
when this happened.

Q. Did they say whose idea the video was, or anything like
that?
A. No.

Q. You have talked about the "no in the snow" incident in your
statements, when there was a crew event, Olympic
Bobsledding. Were you present?
A. Yes.

Q. Was Cam there at this time?
A. Yes.

Q. With the people that made the "NO" in the snow?
A. Yes.

Q. He did not lie down himself, did he?
A. No.

Q. Were there other managers present, as well?
A. Yes, there were.

Q. These crew events -- I think I asked one of the witnesses
before about managers organising these events. Is that the
way you see it?
A. Yes.

Q. So, does the same hierarchy apply?
A. Yes, but it is -- when you are at these things, it is
more of a friendly nature; it is supposed to be. Like, he
is still your boss and there is still a hierarchy, but
there is not pressure, really, as much.

Q. Can you explain, then, what happened? Just explain exactly
the same -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just pause a moment, Mr. Morris.
(Pause whilst people entered the public gallery)

MR. MORRIS: Can you just explain, then, the circumstances of
this "NO" being made in the snow, from what you saw and
experienced?
A. It was after tobogganing; and at the bottom of the
hill, people all of a sudden just started lying down in the
snow in the form of "no". I did not -- I almost lied down,
because I did not know what they were doing; I just thought
it was another game. I was there with Joel Henderson.
Then the managers were off to the lefthand side of it, and
they were yelling: "Do we want a union", and then the
employers were saying "no"; and everyone at that thing lay
down to protest the union, because if you did not lie down
in the snow in the form of "no" then you were obviously a
union supporter; and people did not want to be recognised
as that, because they were afraid.

Q. The night before the vote, the management held an
