Day 094 - 01 Mar 95 - Page 74

MS. STEEL: So you do not have a list?
A. No, I do not.

MR. MORRIS: There was one hygiene thing I wanted to put to
Dr. Gomez Gonzalez. It was the documents, if you may
remember, from 1982 from the Nashville plant, Tyson's
plant. I do not know where it is in the documents.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you help us as to where it might be?

MR. MORRIS: The copy I have has been copied by Barlow Lyde and
Gilbert. It should be in the trial bundles. Can I just
show it to -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. Has Mr. Rampton seen it so that he
knows what it is?

MR. RAMPTON: No, you had better show it to me first.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It has the Barlow's copy stamp on it.

MR. RAMPTON: It has. It is an exhibit to something or other.
It is, quite evidently, a document produced by some trade
union or other because it says so at the bottom. I could
not possibly, I am afraid, at the moment tell your Lordship
where to find it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL (To the witness): Do not mark it, whatever you
do.

MR. MORRIS (To the witness): Just have a look at the
highlighted -- that is the plant, the Tyson's plant, in
Arkansas, Nashville, yes?
A. Yes.

Q. Have a quick read of that.
A. Yes.

Q. You said before that you had never heard of maggots being
found at the Tyson's poultry processing plant. If, in
fact, the US DA had found maggots in 1982 at the Nashville
plant and those matters there that are cited, if they did
come from official US DA reports, would that concern you?
A. Yes, of course.

MR. MORRIS: That is all on that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, in fact, what that comes from is volume
XIV employment, tab 72.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Pink 14, is that?

MR. RAMPTON: Pink 14, yes, my Lord, sorry, where some
Plaintiffs, I think Tysons, sought and were granted an
injunction against the people who distributed that
material. Yes, it was Tyson's employees, the people who
distributed it, I think, were union activists.
