responsible for this document arriving in the court. So,
do you remember her? You mentioned her name out of the
blue. So, would she have been one of those six to eight
       people who got reimbursed?
       A. I cannot remember that, but I certainly know Tracey,
so, you know, that is why her name -- and the details of
this have been mentioned to me.

  Q. She would have known about your investigation?
       A. If she worked in the Colchester store at the time. No,
I do not know where she worked at the time, actually. Yes,
I think that most of the people would have been aware of my
investigation in other restaurants, as well. So whether
she worked at the Colchester High Street or in other
restaurants, she would have been aware of it.

  Q. Apparently, the indications are that from June 1990 she was
at Colchester High Street, July 1991 promoted to Floor
Manager, and then transferred to Colchester Tolgate about
       December 1991?
       A. OK.

  Q. So, she was involved in the store; let us assume she was
involved in the store at the time?
       A. Yes.

  Q. She would have known about the investigation ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- that you were conducting?
       A. Yes, probably. I mean, I asked -----

  Q. But you did not investigate this particular document?
       A. I do not know. If I had been -- if Tracey had come to
my attention or if I had been availed of that information,
I would have investigated it, you know. I thought, I seem
to recall that people referred to a specific incident in
the past when I asked them the question, which, to ask me
-- I seem to recall a particular incident which occurred
in the past and, from my recollection, I look back to that
incident, I might even have interviewed Tracey and
ascertained that it had been sorted out. That is my
recollection of it happening at the time. Wasn't Tracey
       reimbursed? I do not know.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I do not think that matters. I think it is
only right that you should know what my information is.
You can be questioned further about it, if need be, about
where those documents came from. But it is not in
evidence, but just so it is not thought to be a great
mystery, the best information we have at the moment -- and
I stress it is not evidence -- is that Tracey Milleine came
by those sheets of paper in November 1990 and kept them. I
am not going to go into any more detail. That, it is said,
is how they come into our presence now. If you want to ask
any more questions about that, Mr. Morris, please do so.

The position at the moment is that Mr. Morris is not in a
position to question you on documentation about other
events which may or may not have occurred in 1990, because
