  Q. But any of the animals could be exported?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Is that exported in carcass form?
       A. Both in carcass form and boneless.

  Q. Do you export to any McDonald's abroad, any McDonald's
       supplier?
       A. Not that I am aware of, no.

  Q. The waste products from the slaughter process, do they get
       turned into animal feed?
       A. I do not know what happens to the waste products.

  Q. You do not know?
       A. Well, certainly some of the by-products go into pet
       foods.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: There may be confusion about what you mean by
       "waste products".

MR. MORRIS: No. I mean things like offal and stuff like that.
       A. "By-products" as we call them. Yes, a certain amount
of those we sell on and a certain amount we cannot do
anything with and we have to dispose of. The places we sell
them on to I honestly do not know what they do with them.

MS. STEEL: Are you aware of any EC regulations about cattle
       transport and slaughter?
       A. Yes.

  Q. There are some, are there?
       A. Certainly are regarding slaughter, yes.

  Q. Regarding slaughter?
       A. Yes.

  Q. How long have they been in place?
       A. Well, the main regulation which an establishment like
ours has to abide by is EC 64433, the 64 being 1964 which
       is when it was written.

  Q. What one is that in relation to then?
       A. That is largely what we have been talking about today
really, the slaughtering and cutting of -- sorry,
regulations regarding slaughterhouses and red meat cutting
       plants.

  Q. Is that on the hygiene question then?
       A. And welfare.

  Q. It is on welfare as well, is it?
       A. Yes.

  Q. What does it contain in relation to welfare, just
       generally, just general heads?
       A. There will be the requirements for lairaging and I do
not know about driving to be honest, but stunning and
sticking, how it should be done.
