Day 258 - 07 Jun 96 - Page 23

  Q. This is just, like, clearing up a few little points. The
first time you gave evidence talking about document AF2 --
if people want to check this is on page 58 of the
       transcript--

MR. MORRIS: This is from two years back.

MS. STEEL: -- you were talking about chart AF3 in your
appendices and you said that it was extracted primarily
from AF2 with a cross reference on AF1. Mr. Morris said
the several times a week, 4 per cent, was there a question,
was one of the questions, how many times did you visit a
week, and you said "yes" and Mr. Morris said, "Right. One,
two, three, four or five", and you said "yes". Then
Mr. Morris said, "Or is it just do you visit several times
a week". You answered that "it actually picked up on the
number of times people are claiming to visit. There is a
question that asks that". AF2 questionnaire, if you look
       in AF5?
       A. I think I may be mistaken. I think, on reflection,
I am not sure, but I am pretty sure the AF2 questionnaire
picks up the breaks in the way they exist here.

  Q. If people want to check it is on page 3 of AF5, the second
document. Question 1B actually lists nearly every day,
once a week, once every two to three weeks. You would
       accept that is wrong?
       A. Yes, I would.

  Q. Right.

MR. MORRIS: It is not really surprising that nobody answered
every day because there was not a category "Do you eat
there every day?" There was only a category on page 3 of
AF5, "nearly every day, several times a week, once a week",
       and going down from that?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: There is what?

MR. MORRIS: Page 3 of AF5 is the questionnaire providing the
information on which AF3 is based, and if we look at page 3
of AF5 we can see the questions that were actually asked.
These were provided in response to our request.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are you sure you mean page 3?

  MR. MORRIS: Of AF5.

MS. STEEL: The second part of AF5. There are two
       questionnaires.

MR. MORRIS: It should be called '1994 revised fast track
       questionnaire'?
       A. It is on page 3 of the questionnaire.

MS. STEEL: Of the fast track questionnaire, yes; question 1B?
       A. Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let me find that. 'Ask all respondents',
that one? "Ask all respondents W03 classification".
