Day 189 - 20 Nov 95 - Page 32

after we went back -- November, maybe November.

  Q. What, the Carlsberg was?
       A. I am not -- I cannot put an accurate time on.

MR. MORRIS: What is the total length of time you reckon -----
       A. Just a few weeks.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: How long, looking back now -- I know it is
an awful long time ago, so if you really cannot remember
just say so -- just approximately, to the best of your
recollection, how long was it after the alleged drinking
incident that you finished working altogether, stopped
       working even part-time?
       A. I would say a matter of weeks, your Lordship.

MR. MORRIS: That included a period of suspension which was
       revoked after the Rights -----
       A. Yes. There was a period of -- and then I worked just
for a number of weeks after that period of suspension.

  Q. When you were taken back after the Rights Commissioner
hearing, taken back by McDonald's, your suspension was
revoked, did you feel that the action of the Company
towards you had changed at all?
       A. I think their attitude had changed towards me, yes,
because of the dispute, definitely, yes.

  Q. Sorry?
       A. They had changed, yes, their attitude.

  Q. In what way?
       A. Well, because they were obviously trying to get me out
at that stage. If you look back at the -----

  Q. Sorry. You said that the attitude changed. Were you
saying that changed from before the dispute started? I am
trying to say, did that attitude change after the final
Rights Commission hearing, when your suspension was
revoked, did you feel then that your job was secure?
       A. No, no.

  Q. OK. I think there are just one or two other points. Just
one small point: on page 976 of tab 59, did you see this
       document during the dispute?
       A. When I came back, I think I saw it, as far as
       I remember.

  Q. When the dispute finished?
       A. I think it was, yes, when I came back. Yes, I remember
       seeing it.

  Q. Can you pick out any management ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- people from this?
       A. There is Thomas Cullen there.

  Q. Sorry?
       A. Thomas Cullen, who was management.
