Day 193 - 28 Nov 95 - Page 18

  Q. You intended to make it look as if this were another piece
       of dodgy behaviour, manipulation?
       A. No. What I intended to do was show that some of the
employees were trying to extend their stay at the
Labour Board by making up stories.

  Q. Can we look at the next part of your statement, please, at
the bottom of that page? It is the bit that goes a bit
funny: "At the McDonald's restaurant, I was commonly known
as the union activist because I spearheaded the organising
drive. During the Labour Board hearings, management cut
one of my shifts for a few weeks. I believe that this was
caused because management knew that I was pro-union."

You told Mr. Morris that that was a true statement. Is it
       a true statement?
       A. Yes. They cut, I am not sure if it was one or two of
my shifts, because I cannot -----

  Q. Have you still got that pink book, the one with the pink
       spine?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Could you turn, please, to page 1637? Have you got that?
       A. Mmm.

  Q. Is that your signature on that piece of paper?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Is that your handwriting?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Does it say: "Full availability for Sarah Inglis, 4 out
of 6" -- is it? I do not know what -----
       A. It is my employee number; it is number 60 something.
       I do not know.

  Q. "Monday to Saturday, cannot work. Saturday, 7 p.m. to
close. Sunday, open to 11.30 a.m. and 6 p.m. until close."
That is your own statement about your own availability?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Now will you turn over the page, please? Here are your
       scheduled hours of work during September and October 1993;
is that right? One day a week and a limited number of
hours on each of those days, except the last week of
October -- and perhaps the first, as well?
       A. I have a difficulty reading this, what it means. Is
that -- "week" means the first week of October and then the
       day is the 2nd?

  Q. I do not know. I am asking you whether, according to your
own recollection, these were the hours, roughly speaking,
that you worked during September and October 1993; in other
       words, very little?
       A. Yes, I know that I worked very little, but I am having
a hard time understanding which days these are. Is the
day, like, 1 being Sunday and 7 being Saturday?

  Q. I am afraid I cannot tell you. The document does not say.
