Day 161 - 24 Jul 95 - Page 38
being done, or anything like that?
A. When I was at the rap session with my supervisor, we
made -- all the crew members were grouped with different
Managers, so that would be done in time, yes.

Q. So you changed the procedure after that?
A. Not procedure; we influence something which make it --
more allocated people to a certain Manager, so that they do
not delay it.

Q. So they knew who to approach if they not had their OCL?
A. Yes. The Manager knew them and they knew the Manager,
which Manager to go to, as well.

Q. At the next rap session, did the same complaint come up?
A. Yes, definitely. I do not quite remember, but the
complaint will be about other things. Of course, some
people might not have the OCLs, but I do not remember
exactly what the complaint was.

Q. So you do not know whether or not they did complain about
their OCLs being delayed at the following rap session?
A. I do not remember.

Q. You do not remember. So, if one Manager was allocated --
if there was a group of crew allocated to a Manager for a
particular -- to do their OCLs, would he do all their OCLs
for counter and dining area and fries and Fillet, all the
different OCLs that they had to do?
A. Each crew member has got something (inaudible) in a
certain period -- it could be an OCL for fry station, or an
OCL for a counter area -- according to the length of
service they had in the restaurant. So not everything --
stage by stage, it was stage by stage.

Q. But the same Manager would do the OCLs each time for an
individual member of crew?
A. After a period of time, we would change it, swap
Managers, swap to take a different group. I do not know
precisely the time, but we moved the group around.

MS. STEEL: OK. Thank you

(Video film continued to be played)

MR. MORRIS: Just stop it there, please. That rap session --
sorry, I just wanted to see what you said in your statement
about it. (Pause) You said that the employees seemed a
little bit inhibited because of the filming?
A. That is correct.

Q. But, apart from that, was that just a fairly typical rap
session?
A. I do not think they have said much. Normally, they do
say a lot about their pay, their breaks, the Managers.
They will go to the length of how, individually -- from
this film, you can see only one or two people who seem to
be talking, but everyone would have been involved if it was
not filmed.
