       A. The manuals?

  Q. Yes.
       A. They are sometimes referred to, yes.

  Q. Right. Sometimes the Managers on the courses would have to
read sections and perhaps answer questions about them?
       A. Not necessarily read the sections while they were on
the course, but in preparation for a course they might have
to read sections of the manual.

  Q. Does that mean that each Manager would be given a copy of
       the training manual?
       A. Each restaurant is given a copy.

  Q. So when the Managers come to Hamburger University, if they
want a copy they have to bring the store's copy with them,
       do they?
       A. When they -- when it is being brought up to date, they
bring the old copy in to Hamburger University and it is
signed for and signed out for the new one, so one store --
       each store has one manual.

  Q. Right. But does the University have manuals as well, have
copies of the manual as well?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: So when it is brought up to date they bring
the whole manual in and they are given a whole new manual?
       A. That is right.

  Q. With such changes as have been carried out. Do you want to
ask any more about the exact form it takes because if you
do not I will, but you can if you wish.

MS. STEEL: You can ask if you want.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. You say it is a binder with books in
it. What do you mean by that?
       A. It is just a loose-leaf binder with different sections,
basically are small books on each particular subject, for
example, meat integrity, personnel, marketing, things like
       that.

MS. STEEL: Would security be a separate book?
       A. Security would be a section as well.

  Q. Right.
       A. This is in its present format.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: This is?
       A. The present format of it.

MS. STEEL: How long has it been in that format?
       A. A number of years.

  Q. Right. Are you also responsible for teaching about the
