       A. In France?

  Q. Yes.
       A. I have never had any responsibility for France. I am
not aware of this situation. I do not know how it
occurred. Obviously, somebody made a mistake, I would
       think.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It was a cock-up?
       A. Yes, it sounds like it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: They happen from time to time?
       A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: We have nearly finished.

MS. STEEL: The hamburgers that you sell, the small burgers,
they are sold in paper wraps, are they not?
       A. Yes, they are.

  Q. Why is it that you are not concerned about them getting
cold or stale? This is on the packaging point.
       A. Are we going back to packaging now?

  Q. Yes. I have some a few odd questions here and there.
       A. The bigger sandwiches tend to contain sauces, and
because they are bigger they will get colder quicker
generally, and because the sauce that goes on to the
product would be refrigerated -- is refrigerated in fact.
That is not true of the smaller sandwich. The presentation
on the smaller sandwich is much more easier to control in a
wrap than it is in a larger sandwich.

  Q. But this point about them needing the containers to keep
       them fresh and hot?
       A. I have just answered you.

  Q. What about, for example, if a customer buys fries with
their Big Mac; their fries will not be in a polystyrene
       container, will they?
       A. No, they will not.

  Q. So if they leave their fries hanging around to eat at the
same time as their Big Mac, if they leave it for a long
time, their fries are going to be cold, are they not?
       A. Fries operationally are only held for seven minutes and
the sandwiches are held for 10 minutes. There is a
       difference.

  Q. Are they held in a warm place?
       A. Yes.

  Q. They are? So they, presumably, would not cool down that
much during the holding time anyway?
       A. Fries?

  Q. Either?
       A. They are both held in a warm place.

  Q. So they, presumably, would not cool down during that
