MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just pause and think of your remaining
questions. We will finish Mr. Skehel tonight and then go
no further ---

MR. MOORE: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- in case anyone else in court is
interested.

MR. RAMPTON: They are.

MR. MORRIS: You have worked for McDonald's a long time, is that
correct, ten years?
A. I have worked for McDonald's for ten years, yes.

Q. Would you say you are loyal to the Company?
A. I feel a sense of loyalty to the Company, yes.

Q. Is it your only source of income, McDonald's?
A. Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: Mr. Skehel, have you been threatened with the sack
unless you come here and tell lies on behalf of McDonald's?
A. No.

MR. MORRIS: I have not finished yet.

MR. RAMPTON: I see, you sat down.

MR. MORRIS: I was waiting -- Helen was just checking to
see-----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I thought that was your final exit.

MR. RAMPTON: So did I. We are constantly promised the
rainbow's end and we do not -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just -----

MS. STEEL: I have virtually got to the bit that I was checking.
I do not think I want to ask a question.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, thank you. Is there anything more you
want to ask, Mr. Morris?

MR. MORRIS: No.

Re-examined by MR. RAMPTON QC

MR. RAMPTON: I have a serious question, Mr. Skehel, and it is
this, but only one. You said in answer, I think, to
questions from Mr. Morris in relation to what he calls
pressure on managers to keep their labour costs under
control that Mr. Coton was probably under less, and you
emphasised the word "less", less pressure from you, that
is, than any other of your managers and you used the words
"to be honest". You said, "One did not have to treat Tara
with kid gloves", for example; do you remember saying that?
A. I do, yes.
