Day 274 - 04 Jul 96 - Page 41
MR. MORRIS: 13th September?

MR. RAMPTON: Yes, which is Mr. Bishop's notes for 13th
September 1990. I refer you to this because you will see,
if you look at the second part of the last complete
paragraph on the page, that Mr. Gravett did not arrive
until after the discussion about the McDonald's events to
be held the next month. It says in the second part of that
last paragraph: "After this discussion Jonathan left at
half past nine. The meeting was being wound up at around
20 past 10 when Paul Gravett arrived with a report of what
he had been doing. He was late because he had attended the
second meeting of a new group calling itself Third World
First."

Bearing that in mind, I would like you to turn, please, to
page 201 -- 201A, that is just for the date.

MR. MORRIS: You tell me what notes they are referring to?

MR. RAMPTON: They are a blank page headed 'Kings Investigation
Bureau Limited', 9th September 1990.

MR. MORRIS: Whose notes are they?

MR. RAMPTON: On page 201B, Miss Laporte.

MR. MORRIS: Can you just say which notes they are?

MR. RAMPTON: If Mr. Morris would keep quiet.

MR. MORRIS: I am entitled to know which document you are
referring to.

MR. RAMPTON: Mr. Morris will shortly learn which document I am
referring to. Miss Laporte, do you find on page 201B the
page with a 4 in a circle against it? Those are the notes
of Michelle Hooker.

MR. MORRIS: Right. Thank you.

MR. RAMPTON: She says she arrived at Caledonian Road at 20 past
7, was admitted by Jonathan and that Helen and Jane were
already there. If you turn over the page it says "Charlie
arrived -- at the top of the page -- "Jane opened the
meeting, Helen volunteered to take the minutes." Lower
down the next paragraph somebody called Martin appeared.
You, Miss Laporte, apparently gave a short report on the
picket at the Nags Head McDonald's on 8th September 1990.
Which was the organisation, Miss Laporte, under whose
umbrella that Nags Head picket was held?
A. That was Hackney and Islington animal rights campaign.

Q. And why did you report to London Greenpeace about that
picket?
A. Because we reported at the beginning of every meeting
about anything vaguely political that we had done. I was
not that active in many other groups and I just gave a
report about what I had done.
