the sponsorship you did do, did you get press publicity?
Does McDonald's get press publicity for its sponsorship
       efforts?
       A. For one of those, yes, there was a picture, not of
myself, but of the school children digging the pond.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: With some reference to McDonald's?
       A. There was a reference to McDonald's.

  MR. MORRIS:  I do not how long Mr. Rampton is expecting to take;
we think we have about 10 more fairly brief questions, if
we could possibly get through today.

MR. RAMPTON: Easily -- I doubt I have one question in
       re-examination.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. Sit down and take stock. If we can
possibly finish any witness late in the afternoon, rather
than asking them to come back for a short time in the
morning, it is obviously helpful. But sit down and have
       any discussion you want to.

MS. STEEL: You said that the High Street, Kensington, had a
environment/index.html">litter cart; is that right -- two?
       A. Yes.

  Q. But Kings Road did not; was the environment/index.html">litter problem worse in
       High Street, Kensington?
       A. No, it was not. When I got there it was there; it is
       not what I actually initiated.

  Q. The carts were already there when you got there?
       A. Yes, in High Street, Kensington, yes.

  Q. As far as you are aware, the environment/index.html">litter problem was, what,
worse, better or the same than Kings Road?
       A. Whichever restaurant you go to, you have got to do that
environment/index.html">litter patrol but in High Street Kensington, perhaps, there
were more bins around in the High Street compared to Kings
       Road.

  Q. So environment/index.html">litter is, basically, a fact of life around everywhere
       where the company operates?
       A. Yes, people do drop environment/index.html">litter and there is environment/index.html">litter, but we
collect it so I would not say that it is a problem.

  Q. I think you said that environment/index.html">litter was worse in Central London
which you blame on the tourists; is that right?
       A. That is my opinion.

  Q. The environment/index.html">litter patrols that were in operation while you were
working there, did they go out in uniform?
       A. At Kings Road?

  Q. Kings Road, yes.
       A. Initially, they did not; they used to put their own
       jacket on.

  Q. But then?
       A. Then because people, local residents, did not know who
