A. Three or four years, I believe.

A. I was not a police officer before then, no.

Q. How long before you started this investigation did you
become an inquiry agent?
A. Two years, I believe.

Q. When you were making these investigations, were you told to
look out for a particular leaflet?
A. No, I was not.

Q. Do you know the date of the last meeting which you
attended?
A. I do not know the exact date offhand now. It was some
time in June 1990.

Q. Which other investigators did you know?
A. In what respect? At the time?

Q. At the time.
A. I was not aware of any other investigators involved.

Q. And, now, are you aware of other investigators? Well, you
have obviously seen Mr. Bishop.
A. I am with hindsight, but up until the time that
I stopped attending meetings I was not aware of any other
investigators attending.

Q. How many are you aware of now?
A. Four that I can think of.

Q. Which four are those?
A. Brian Bishop, Jack Russell, Alan Clare -- I do not know
him, but I have heard his name mentioned -- and someone
called Michelle.

Q. Have you met any of those, apart from Mr. Bishop, in court?
A. In court?

Q. Have you met them on any other occasion?
A. I have met Jack Russell, but never any of the others.

Q. When did you meet Jack Russell?
A. I do not recall exactly. It would have been some time
towards the end of -- some time in the first part of 1990,
as far as I am aware.

Q. Was that before you had finished your involvement with
investigations of the group?
A. Yes.

Q. Was that before the meeting he attended? Were you
basically briefing him on the general procedure?
A. No, I did not. I was never responsible for briefing
anyone else.
