Day 277 - 10 Jul 96 - Page 48
A. Got them.

Q. Yes. If you look at the first photograph?
A. Yes.

Q. There are literally several, I do not know how many I have
not counted them up, placards with the words "Fight
censorship, smash McDonald's" aren't there?
A. Yes.

Q. And the person in photograph 1 underneath the left hand
corner, as it is in reality the right hand in the
photograph, is Mr. Morris, is it not?
A. It is, but he is not the person who is carrying the
banner.

Q. No, but he is at the head of the procession wearing a badge
and a flat cap is he not?
A. I cannot say that is the head of the procession. There
is quite obviously a woman, or somebody, in a checked
jacket ahead of him and then it is out of shot. So I do
not know whether that is the head. The head is actually
the red banner. So bearing in mind the red banner is not
in the first photograph it would actually appear not to be
the head of the demonstration.

Q. Turn then, please, to photograph 6. Here is the red
banner?
A. Where?

Q. Head of the procession. And who is that holding or
standing beside?
A. Yes, that is me. But if you do note that I am not at
the head of the demonstration the whole way through.

Q. No. Next to you is a person with long fair hair, carrying
one of those banners "Fight censorship, smash McDonald's";
agreed?
A. So it appears, yes.

Q. And then if you turn over the page you find a yellow van, I
expect, do you? 7 and 8?
A. Yes.

Q. Plastered with "Fight censorship, smash McDonald's"
notices; yes?
A. Yes. Well, there is two on there.

Q. Two? No, no, no.
A. Three.

Q. There is at least three, and there is probably two more on
the other side aren't there?
A. Don't know.

Q. And then if you turn over the page.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, we can see both sides of the van can we
not?
