Day 274 - 04 Jul 96 - Page 17
organising it by then anyway, it usually got underway
about, you know, about the middle of summer.

Q. Right. Can you recall in the time that you were involved
any activity by myself in the antiMcDonald's campaign?
A. No. I do not recall any involvement. I mean, as I
said in my statement, the extent of the McDonald's campaign
within London Greenpeace was organising one day a year
antiMcDonald's day and organising the fayre, but you
weren't involved with either. I remember you turning up to
the fayre in 1989, but that is all.

Q. Do you remember any activity I took part in in London
Greenpeace since you were involved in the group?
A. As I said, you hardly turned up to any meetings. You
had an interest in the antiborders campaign, I believe you
may have initiated it, but as far as that goes--

Q. When was that, that I was involved with that campaign?
A. That would have been summer 1989. There might have
been one picket I think you -- well, there was a leaflet
involved with the campaign, but the campaign was quite
small as well but that was more or less your only interest
and you came along to meetings to find out what was going
on to report what was happening in your local area because
you were more interested in local issues.

Q. Okay?
A. But other than that--

Q. Thank you very much. Sorry, the next one we want to look
at is 26th April, which is the notes of Jack Russell if I
can find it?
A. 27th is it?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is page 112?
A. Right.

MR. MORRIS: Looking at the notes of this meeting, actually the
week before 19th April there was a meeting which
apparently, according to Roy Pocklington's notes, a Dave
was present and yourself. I am not sure if that is me
anyway. Keeping with 26th April, can you -- well, one of
the letters disclosed by the Plaintiffs, I do not know if
it is in the bundle, it is a letter from Peter Taulk.

MS. STEEL: Mr. Claire confirmed that he had taken it from
Caledonian Road.

MR. MORRIS: I do not know if it is in the bundles.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What do you want to ask about it?

MR. MORRIS: I want to put it to the witness.

MS. STEEL: It should have been in the bundles.

MR. MORRIS: I can read it out and then hand it to the witness.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Has Mr. Rampton seen a copy?
