Day 099 - 08 Mar 95 - Page 49

70 and 71 and 72, please, and tell us what Dutch, French
       and standard bag counts are?
       A. It is a similar thing to what we discussed earlier on
in the beef burgers. The bags are filled by weight. Inside
a box there is a number of bags, plastic bags, containing
Nuggets and they are filled by weight, but we insist on
there being specific numbers, a range of numbers, of
individual McNuggets in those bags. So, as part of their
quality control testing, they undo bags and count the
number of Nuggets in them. The Dutch bags, French bags --
the standard backs relate to the UK market and the others
       are export product.

  Q. Dutch bag and a French bag mean what they say, they are
bags from Holland and France? They are not terms of art,
       are they?
       A. They are bags for export to Holland and France and they
have different requirements and different numbers
       sometimes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Shall we break off there?

  MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, yes.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: 2 o'clock.

                      (Luncheon adjournment)

MR. RAMPTON: Mr. Kenny, taking the pink volume, can I ask you
what page have you open in front of you there?
       A. Page 67.

  Q. I think I have finished with 67. Can you turn on, please,
       to page 73?

MR. MORRIS: This is tab 8?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, tab 8.

MR. RAMPTON: This is a more up-to-date version of what we
       looked at this morning.
       A. Yes.

  Q. The date stamp at the top says 27th May 1993?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Can I ask you to look, first of all, at the first box or
table and at the column headed "Foreign objects"?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Do you see there is under the "Grandstand Road skin" entry
or by it there is a foreign object found?
       A. Yes.

  Q. What sort of thing would you expect to find in or on skin?
       A. I would hazard a guess that was probably a feather.

  Q. A feather. What does it mean "Incoming" in the last line
       of that table?
       A. That means from another source other than from the Sun
