         Q. But it has not a range of nutrients?
2 A. No, it has not.

3 Q. It is just the sugar?
              A. It has calories. Again it depends what you actually
4 want at the time. Of course, people's requirements vary
very be considerably depending on whether they are
5 active, whether they are pregnant or whether lactating, or
              whatever.
     6
MR. JUSTICE BELL: Come out of a tiresome day in court and a
7 bar chocolate might be a nice thought?
              A. Nothing better, my Lord.
     8
MR. MORRIS: Can you help me -- I am, sort of, lost for words
     9 here, Mr. Wheelock.

10 MR. JUSTICE BELL: You may have made your point when you come
to look at the advertising matter, and if you are going to
11 urge that it means more than just contains nutrients, is
that not a matter of comment to me?
    12
MR. MORRIS: Fair comment, yes, OK.
    13
MR. JUSTICE BELL: If there is something you think this witness
14 can add to the debate on it, then ask, but it is really a
question of what the ad is trying to say and whether it is
    15 justified, is it not?

16 MR. MORRIS: What is the conception about junk food, this label
"junk food" in our society, how would you ---
    17 A. I think ---

    18 Q. -- approach that?
              A. -- I think junk food has to be something that the
19 individual has to make up their own minds. I suspect the
perception varies from one person to another. Personally,
20 as far as I am concerned, junk food is something I would
bin myself, that I would not eat.
    21
MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is subjective?
    22 A. I think so, yes.

23 MR. MORRIS: Why would you not eat junk food?
              A. Because it follows by definition to me, personally, if
24 it is junk to me, it means I would not eat, I would bin
              it.
    25
         Q. What would be junk about this food that you chuck into the
26 bin? Tell us something about it.
              A. It is something I would not want to eat. I certainly
    27 would not buy it.

28 Q. Can you give us some examples of junk food?

29 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can I suggest one?
              A. Yes.
    30
         Q. Which may give pleasure to a lot of children, but candy
