Day 070 - 20 Dec 94 - Page 22
Switzerland or in Germany, we would like copies, because
this is an issue that the Plaintiffs have raised and relied
upon and have quoted.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do not go any further at the moment. What do
you say about that, Mr. Rampton?

MR. RAMPTON: They all look jolly interesting. I think
I remember somebody saying there was a problem about the
Shaffhausen document, which is the first one.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can we agree the principle that if they are
available, that is, if they are still in a McDonald's
library or their possession or control somewhere, they
obviously ought to be brought to light so that they can be
looked at, copies made, and brought out if it is thought
they are helpful in any way?

MR. RAMPTON: Some of them, I think, already have been, looking
at this list, which I confess had escaped me. But, yes, in
principle, I agree. I do not know, for example, what
number 8 says.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No. 1 to 5, and number 11.

MR. MORRIS: 1, 2, 5 and 11.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is directly related to what I will call
the reusables issue.

MR. MORRIS: As has been said, they are all very interesting,
but I think, as it is a discrete issue, that is
obviously -----

MR. RAMPTON: I am very grateful to the Defendants for drawing
my attention to this. It may be that if we have got them,
whether here or elsewhere, I might unload all 15, I do not
know. But certainly I accept the principle.

MR. MORRIS: The next one is The Times supplements -- just to
see if there is any progress on that one?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We were going to try to get copies somehow.

MR. RAMPTON: We have done it. No doubt, the Defendants will be
grateful to us. I am sure your Lordship might like one.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I would, if I may. I have the original in my
room.

MR. MORRIS: The next one is the UK Report and Review 1990.
This is the one that, I think, Mr. Van Erp was questioned
about, the progress on that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Remind me about that.

MR. MORRIS: I cannot remember exactly now which document it was
in. We showed a list of packaging -- a timetable for
packaging concerns. Helen is going to look it up. I think
Mr. Rampton said at the time that he was certainly going to
