MR. RAMPTON: I am being reminded I am not here on Friday.
I think I knew that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: There is nothing I can do about that,
Mr. Rampton.

MR. RAMPTON: There is nothing I can do about it either!

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You are replying to the answer to the points
you made and Mr. Atkinson also, I do not know whether he is
going to deal with that or you are, and then when you have
responded to the points taken by the Defendants on their
list and their extra matters, I must give them an
opportunity to reply to that.

MR. RAMPTON: Indeed so, my Lord, that is absolutely right,
which is making me nervous about Mr. Stanton tomorrow.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is there any reason why Mr. Atkinson should
not call him on Friday?

MR. RAMPTON: No, there is not. I know why Mrs. Brinley-Codd
has passed me these notes because she wants to discuss it
with before I make that observation.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Is there any possibility of you wanting to
put anyone in rather than Mr. Stanton tomorrow afternoon?

MR. RAMPTON: Not now, my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I will say is I will leave it entirely
up to you whether you have Mr. Stanton here sometime
tomorrow or leave him until Friday morning.

MR. RAMPTON: I am grateful. All I was going to ask was that if
he should go short sometime tomorrow afternoon and
Mr. Stanton were not here your Lordship should not give me
a blowing up, that is all.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You will get no criticism from me if that is
what happens.

MR. RAMPTON: If I may leave it till Friday then we will
consider that. I am grateful to your Lordship.
