THE WITNESS: Where do you want me to look?

MR. MORRIS: If we look at -----

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Divider 33.
       A. Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Which is the document you want, Mr. Morris?

MR. MORRIS: Actually, it is number 1. I have got it in a
       different order.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just identify the document. What is it?

MR. MORRIS: It is Mark Davis, Operation Supervisor, Annual
       Performance Review, 13th September 1990.

THE WITNESS: Yes, I have got that in front of me.

MR. MORRIS: If we look at the last sentence on the first
paragraph, it says: "Recently, the regional target of
reducing crew turnover by the end of 1990 by 25 per cent
       was set by Andrew Taylor."

What position was Andrew Taylor at that time, do you know?
       A. Regional Manager, I believe.

  Q. So he was in charge of the region?
       A. Yes.

  Q. If we look at the crew turnover figures, we can see how
Colchester had started off at 272 per cent turnover, had
gone down to 255 and gone up to 288 in a period of a year?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Small increase overall. 200 -- which is Ipswich, is it?
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- had actually gone up over that year from 173 per cent
turnover to 194 per cent turnover. What is 307?
       A. Bury St. Edmunds.

  Q. In a six monthly period, had gone from 324 per cent to
278 per cent. So, in looking at crew turnover -- is there
a general pattern of crew turnover going down in McDonald's
around, say, the late 80s into the earlier 90s?
       A. When we focused on crew turnover as an issue, we were
happily successful in reducing the crew turnover, yes.

  Q. Right.
       A. Except in Colchester.

  Q. Well, you had not succeeded in Ipswich either, had you,
where Mr. Skehel was Manager, for example? He had failed
to get his crew turnover down quite significantly, had he
       not?
       A. It looks as though -----

  Q. Over that period of a year?
