  Q. Perhaps you would like to, Defendants' documents -----

MR. RAMPTON: No, my Lord. Again I believe it is going to be a
press cutting. The correct procedure is to put the details
to the witness, ask him if he knows about it; if he does
not, then that is the end of matter.

MS. STEEL: I am asking him if he knows about it. I am
just asking him to read it and see whether his answer
       remains the same.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You can easily put the facts of it. It does
       not make any difference.

MS. STEEL: It might remind him if he sees it. As far as I am
aware, I am allowed to do that.

MR. RAMPTON: No, my Lord, that is not right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, just put the facts in it.

MS. STEEL: I feel that this is a deliberate attempt by
Mr. Rampton to try to prevent us from cross-examining
effectively. He is trying to throw us off track. I am
       trying to follow procedure.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: First of all, put the facts in the article if
you wish to take them from the article.

MS. STEEL: I have put the facts in the article.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No. He has asked for more details. At the
moment what you have put of an incident a couple of months
ago where the customer was sold McNuggets, Chicken
McNuggets, containing salmonella. He told you he was not
aware of that and, perhaps quite helpfully, said: "Maybe
if you gave me more details". So, what I suggest, by all
means refer me, if you like, first of all, give me the
reference so I can look at it and I will help you through
it. You should be able to put everything you want without
       him actually seeing it.

MS. STEEL: Are you aware of an incident in Shrewsbury where a
customer was sold Chicken McNuggets which were under-cooked
       and which contained salmonella?
       A. I have not heard of that, no.

  Q. Can we look at the latest list of documents, Defendants
       documents, served on 18th January?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is bundle V. Defendants' Supplemental
List of Documents, bundle V. Have you got the divider
       number?

MS. STEEL: Yes, it is document No. 2, page 13 of that bundle.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just read what is on that page.

THE WITNESS: I do not have any page numbers on this.
