Day 190 - 23 Nov 95 - Page 48
do it myself because it is not really my job -- but what
I could do is to check the transcript of the -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No. I think Ms. Steel may be right.

MR. RAMPTON: But, my Lord, I do not feel strongly about it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let me just ......

MS. STEEL: I do not actually think it makes sense if it has
"not", unless I said it in error. But I really do not
actually think that I said that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I propose to do is when the typescript
comes for me to perfect my judgment in the transcript I
will strike out the "not" in the first sentence of
paragraph 5. There is no other modification I wish to make
to paragraph 5 on what is now page 19, and I propose to
remove from my final judgment on what is now page 22 the
second paragraph. It does not make any difference to the
substance or the conclusion. Do you understand the one
sentence paragraph on page 22?

MS. STEEL: I have got the sentence that you have said you
made, yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That sentence probably did not add anything
in any event.

We will resume either at 10.30 or 2 p.m. tomorrow. Let
