Day 140 - 22 Jun 95 - Page 55

Q. When did she came?
A. It was either 91 or 92, I cannot tell you
specifically. It was probably more like 92 because all of
this kept going for about a year, a year and a half with
various enquiries.

Q. I was going to go to the letter. They were saying the same
thing in 1991 as tab 90 shows, so the shareholders' meeting
would have been something like what month in 1992?
A. May.

Q. May. Do you always have your shareholders' meetings in
May?
A. Yes.

Q. Why was this year then held last month?
A. Was there a shareholders' meeting held last month?

Q. Yes?
A. Yes, there was.

Q. So it is not always in May?
A. In May.

Q. I apologise, I could not remember what month we were in. I
thought we were in September!

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Things may be bad, Mr. Morris, but not quite
that bad. We are not yet in July.
A. I was starting to wonder whether or not I was going
mad!

MR. MORRIS: So, you did not get anything in writing saying that
these shareholders were satisfied now with your wage
differentials or anything after all this correspondence?
A. I do not recall getting anything in writing. My
impression is there was never anything in writing from them
at the end. They were satisfied. They called and told me
that and then Sister Marie appeared at the shareholders'
meeting and that was the conclusion of it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will have a break this afternoon. Unless
you particularly want to press on now, we will have it
now.

MR. MORRIS: Thank you.

(Short adjournment)

MS. STEEL: I cannot remember, have you given us a figure for
the percentage of McDonald's workers that are part-time?
A. Approximately 80 per cent.

Q. About 80 per cent, right. If you turn to tab 90?
A. That is in which book?

Q. Pink 14. This is a letter dated 11th June 1991. Is that
what you have?
