This also applies to the Plaintiffs' acceptance that I was
not liable for any publication in the last quarter of 1987.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That is what you want to say on the law in
relation to publication?

MS. STEEL: Yes, there might be a few additional points.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Where are you going to go next?

MS. STEEL: I have got some notes on malice, but in some ways,
if it is possible, I would prefer to ---

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just tell me what ---

MS. STEEL: -- make a start tomorrow.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- you want to do. What other topics do you
want to speak about, so far as the law is concerned?

MS. STEEL: I think we have done all the major ones but, I mean,
obviously, there are, like, quite a few minor -- obviously,
I do not mean by minor that they are not important, but
less extensive.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Then after that you want to address me, do
you, further on the counterclaim, or not?

MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You want to do that?

MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you want to say something about damages,
or not?

MR. MORRIS: Yes, we do. We have to sort ourselves out after
today.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. Are you hoping to put some more
submissions in on matters of fact in writing by next
Wednesday, or not?

MS. STEEL: There are certainly some that I want to do, and
hopefully I will be able to do it over the weekend, or at
least get some of them done.

MR. MORRIS: We are, basically, expecting to finish these
submissions this week and then have the option of putting
something in writing up until next Wednesday.

MS. STEEL: In terms of the extra facts.

MR. MORRIS: Yes, references.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. Unless you have some other suggestion,
I will adjourn until 10.30 tomorrow morning.
