Day 037 - 14 Oct 94 - Page 49

  Q. If we could just briefly look at a few documents, then
I think then we will be finished. The first is some
photographs which you took. Have you copies of these
       photographs?
       A. I do, yes.

  Q. How many copies have you, Mr. Cox?
       A. I have one copy only for myself here.

  Q. Which are the ones you wanted to show? Was it these two?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Can I show them to Mr. Rampton?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think Mr. Rampton should see them first.

THE WITNESS: I do actually have another.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just pause.

MR. MORRIS: I see. It is a series of five.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, they are pictures of some menus; a
policeman in front of a McDonald's restaurant and some
irresistably appetizing hamburgers. I will pass them up
       to your Lordship. (Handed)

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I will do is I will look at each of
them, and then you have your set of copies back while you
       ask the questions.

MR. MORRIS: Presumably, when Mr. Rampton says "irresistably
appetizing" it means he has got a craving for ......

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No. He is trying to see himself through
       Friday afternoon.

MR. RAMPTON: That is exactly right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You put them in whichever order appeals to
you. Are going to refer Mr. Cox to them or are you going
       to leave him to?

MR. MORRIS: Mr. Cox is going to take us through them because I
do not know what he wants to say.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Right. Put them in whichever order appeals
       to you?
       A. I would just like to draw your attention to them.

  Q. Have you done that?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Number them 1 to whatever on the back, holding them up as
you do it so that Mr. Morris can do the same with his.
Before you say anything about the photographs, do that.
Can you hold the first one up so that he can number it?
       A. This is No. 1.

  MR. MORRIS: Meal, OK. Yes?
