Day 277 - 10 Jul 96 - Page 73

       A. No.

  Q. 1990, 1989?
       A. I don't know. I don't know.

  Q. But anyhow, some time before you got the writ?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Why did you buy a copy of "Behind The Arches"?
       A. Because it was going cheap, because I like reading.

  Q. I see. But you prefer to read about McDonald's than
       anything else?
       A. No. I bought lots of other books and read lots of
       other books.

  Q. But you often read books about topics you are not
       interested in?
       A. I did not say I was not interested in McDonald's.

  Q. That is right, because you like reading and because you
       were interested in McDonald's?
       A. It was a topic which I had some interest in.

  Q. Then please look at the last paragraph, not the one liner,
       the two liner:

"It was agreed that during the week of 16th October 1990,
and particularly on the 16th, McDonald's should be 'hit
hard'." That is true, is it not? It was said at the
       meeting?
       A. I have never heard anyone say anything like that, that
       is her words.

  Q. Do not look at the --
       A. It might have been her for all I know. I do remember
her being extremely enthusiastic about picketing McDonald's
and about the picket of McDonald's head office.

  Q. No. Then finally in these notes, 20th September 1990,
again I expect you would like to use Mrs Tiller's notes
and, so far as you are concerned, they start on page 25 of
her notes. If you have not got them numbered, they are the
       ones for the 25th?
       A. Sorry, her page 25?

  Q. Yes, 25 at the bottom?
       A. I have got it.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord in our bundle it is --

MR. MORRIS: 20th September, Tiller; is it?

MR. RAMPTON: Yes. I am not sure what page number it has.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, is it the one with the 5 next to it?

MR. RAMPTON: I am afraid I have not got that date, it is
missing. Yes my Lord, I think it is. Yes, it is. So it
       is page 207C.
