Day 170 - 05 Oct 95 - Page 13
MR. JUSTICE BELL: You think it was a Friday. That would figure
with Monday, 25th. When did the week's schedule start?
A. Monday at that time.

Q. So she would know what hours she was scheduled for the week
beginning in two or three days time?
A. Yes.

Q. When she fell?
A. Yes, sir.

Q. You had said paid for two weeks?
A. Yes, sir.

Q. Which would, essentially, then cover the week after that,
even though it had not been scheduled at that time?
A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: Is it a fact that the money for Mel O'Riordon was
stopped as soon as she had her accident in terms of -- yes,
was it stopped from that moment?
A. No.

Q. Who stopped it then?
A. Well, physically, you would not have to go and clock
her off and I did not clock her off until the end of the
night, because if she is not clocked off her name will come
up and say, this person, is this person still working? And
instructions were left to say that she had an accident, to
clock her off at her scheduled time.

Q. This accident was at the beginning of her shift, was it?
A. It was about 1.15.

Q. That would have been the beginning of her shift roughly?
A. She started at 12.00.

Q. At 12.00, right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: When did you clock her off then?
A. For 8 o'clock.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think you ought to ask Mrs. Norris about
what appears at the top of the second page of her
supplemental statement.

MR. MORRIS: What, the -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If you like, I will ask. Do you want me to
ask?

MR. MORRIS: Yes, please do.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: There is a yellow volume X somewhere behind
you, Mrs. Norris. Would you mind fishing it out? You will
find the divider F and then two dividers behind it, 32.

If you turn to your supplemental statement which is the
third sheet and then the second page of that, because this
is part of your evidence now as a result of Mr. Atkinson's
