Day 277 - 10 Jul 96 - Page 23

  Q. When did people like Mr. O'Farrell appear on the scene; was
       that later on?
       A. I don't remember to be honest.

  Q. What about Mr. Clarke?
       A. I can remember his involvement off and on for quite a
       while, but I don't, I mean, I don't really know to be
       honest. I don't know.

  Q. Mr. Gravett, anyway, you feel reasonably confident, was
there at any rate during 1988, I think you told us at the
       start, in 1987?
       A. Yes.

  Q. And one of the documents which you will have become
familiar with, Miss Steel, during the course of 1988 would
have been the McDonald's fact sheet would it not?
       A. I would have seen it, yes.

  Q. Yes. You remember Mr Clare's photograph of the cardboard
box on the shelf. Again, I am not trying to test your
memory, but tell me do you remember that being there when
you first joined, started going regularly?
       A. I really couldn't say. I don't know. I mean, there
was always a box in the office that was full of all the
things that were for the stall. You know, the banners,
various leaflets, collecting tin, scissors, string,
       cellotape tape.

  Q. Well, we are going to have a look at those photographs
later on so I will not do it now. Can you help me with the
layout of the building at 5 Caledonian Road? The
photographs that we have got show the London Greenpeace
office on the right hand side at the top of the stairs?
       A. That is on the first floor.

  Q. On the first floor?
       A. Yes.

  Q. There was, was there not, a plan to move the London
Greenpeace office from that room into another room on the
same floor; do you remember that?
       A. That is right, I think you can actually see the door in
       the photographs.

  Q. In Mr. Clare's photographs?
       A. Yes, I think so.

  Q. Yes.
       A. Well, you can't--

  Q. Are you looking at?
       A. You can't quite -- but where it is, if you look at
photograph No. 4 you see the light switch and then you can
see white, that is the door frame to where London
Greenpeace did move its office to.

  Q. Yes. London Greenpeace office at that time is the door on
       the right?
