even write down, you know, my address or my, like, the date
I was doing it ---

Q. No, I understand that.
A. -- and I just wrote this, I put "I" and then I said
"your name" and I wrote the first two, well, three
sentences, and then -----

Q. What were the first three sentences?
A. I said: "Your name" and "am employed under a
McDonald's Restaurant of Canada Limited and Ballantyne
foods Limited wish to revoke my application card from the
Service Employees International Union, Local", and all
that, "because" and then I put "dot, dot, dot" and left it
all, you know, left it like blank. I only left a little
space and I said: "Put your reasons why here", and then
I said -- and then under that I put: "Make sure that you
put contact person at the very end of your letter", and
I put down the contact person's name and address, just in
case they did not know her address.

MR. MORRIS: These reasons which people went and wrote off, did
they all write it off with somebody sitting with them in
the room?
A. No, they would -- I gave them -- they asked for, like,
some people who did not understand how to do it because
there were green sheets up in the crew room and they said
to write it this way. If they did not understand that, I
said: "Just come over to my house" and I will give them a
John Doe letter, and take it home and then whenever they
have done the letter, make sure they put it in a sealed
envelope and then just drop it off at my house or
Michelle's or Chris Broom's.

Q. So they came over to your house, many of them, to write the
letter?
A. No, not to begin with -- once it was sealed.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am sorry. It is not being pernickety to
pick you up about "so" because she gave an answer and you
said "so" and said something which was completely different
to what she had just said.

MR. MORRIS: I am sorry. They came over to your house to pick
up -----
A. To pick up the John Doe form.

Q. The John Doe standard letter thing?
A. If they did not understand how to do it from the sheets
that were in the crew room.

Q. Did you sit down with any of them? Did they talk about it
with you, what they should write down?
A. They just said: "Well, what kind of information shall
I put down?" and I said: "Anything that you feel, you
know, is necessary. If you feel that you are misinformed,
then write it down. "But", I said, "it is totally up to
you what you write down and if there is anything you feel2.

Q. If you feel misled, misinformed, harassed, things like
