expressed a viewpoint. She may have said something about
wanting, you know, wanting to end exploitation or
oppression, but I do not think she would have said this. I
cannot recall her saying this at a meeting at
Endsleigh Street, this Endsleigh Street meeting. In my
opinion, I mean, she does not have an extremely radical
viewpoint, in my opinion. I mean, she is quite softly
spoken.

Q. I asked Mr. Gravett some questions about Mr. Morris and the
way he conducted himself. I will ask you, if I may, about
Ms. Steel. Do you agree with me that she is a somewhat
volatile character?
A. No. I find her quite calm.

Q. Do you?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you agree with me that she cannot bear to lose an
argument?
A. No, I would not say she is as dogmatic as that, no.

Q. Do you agree with me that she will often get in a temper if
she is at the losing end of a decision or argument?
A. I cannot actually recall if I have seen Helen in a
temper. Not with me, you know. I do not think I have seen
her in a temper, as it were, with anyone else. She might
express her viewpoint which might be different to someone
else's but....

Q. Do you agree that she has a somewhat sharp tongue and a way
of putting people down?
A. No.

Q. You do not?
A. No.

Q. You do not then agree that she is a forceful and somewhat
intimidating character?
A. No, I do not find her intimidating.

Q. Right. Let us go back to the notes, Miss Laporte, if we
can. Turn now please to page - in these same notes of Mrs.
Tiller - page 20, which are the notes for 19th July 1990?
A. Yes.

Q. And you can see from the second paragraph that you, Jane,
were there, Dave was there, Paul was there, somebody called
Charlie, I assume that is Charlie Brook, and somebody
called Hazel Birch.

MR. MORRIS: Sorry, which page are we on?

MS. STEEL: 19th July.

MR. RAMPTON: 19th July 1990. Can you turn please to the second
page and the second paragraph.

"At 9 p.m. - it says - John entered and asked if anything
