Day 170 - 05 Oct 95 - Page 26
MR. MORRIS: We are separate parties, so we are entitled ----

MR. RAMPTON: No, my Lord, again Mr. Morris is not entitled to
anything ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You are not, Mr. Morris. This is the
absurdity of your interventions. You are not entitled to
copies, but just please keep quiet for the moment. You are
doing more harm than good at the moment. What were you
going to suggest, Mr. Rampton?

MR. RAMPTON: I was going to suggest that the messenger brought
the two copies for the Defendants and dumped them at the
solicitors on his way to my chambers, which is the right
journey or the way back -- it does not matter -- because
Fetter Lane is on the way from Barlows to ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Where would you ----

MS. STEEL: That is fine. The appointment is at 2 o'clock, so
there is plenty of time for it to be sorted out anyway.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That has solved that. Is there anything
else?

MR. RAMPTON: No.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The only thing is this. If you can fill it
out of the 200 pages, the 50 or, if possible, if you look
at them again and decide it is less than 50 that you need
for Mr. Fairgrieve so that we can have them bundled up on
Monday.

MS. STEEL: Can I just explain something? I have got the page
numbers here so I can give them to you now, if you want.
I do not know if I am definitely going to ask
Mr. Fairgrieve about them. I just thought it was possible
that I might do. Do you want me to give the page numbers?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, I do not want you to give them to me, but
what I suggest you do is if you give the page numbers which
may relate to Mr. Fairgrieve to Mrs. Brinley-Codd; when
will you know, do you think, just which ones you will want
to put to Mr. Fairgrieve, if, indeed, any at all?

MS. STEEL: When I get a chance to read them over the weekend.
I mean, some of the pages are indexes anyway so they do not
need, you know, they would not need to be read, obviously.
The main body of it is the sales and marketing section, the
pages that we did not get of that. That is the most likely
thing I will be asking him about.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, it does not matter so far as we are
concerned because there is nothing we can do. Anyway, we
cannot talk to Mr. Fairgrieve.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Apart from the copies which are delivered to
the solicitor in New Fetter Lane and any numbers which you
need for your side Mr. Rampton, I think it would be helpful
if there was an extra bundle for the witness or witness
