these rules are subject to discipline or dismissal."
A. Yes.

Q. Does it say on page 11, two-thirds of the way
down, ".....holding unauthorised meetings on Company
property"?
A. Yes.

Q. If you turn over the page, on page 13, does it say in the
middle of that page there are three bullet
points: "Employees who have finished work should leave the
premises as soon as possible" -- yes?
A. Yes, that is correct.

Q. "Off duty......"

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I do believe it is fair to the witness to
read the introduction before you get to the bullet points.

MR. MORRIS: "The policy on solicitation and loitering. Due to
the size of our store we ask your co-operation in carrying

crew member might interpret those points to be. We have
already asked other witnesses about it.

MR. RAMPTON: No, no. This is this witness's own crew Handbook
at the time, 1979, when it is asserted that he was applying
an anti-union policy in his two restaurants in Dublin. If
some suggestion is to be made about the wording of this
crew Handbook, the purpose behind the wording must be made
to this witness.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What I suggest you do -- the answer may be
obvious, but ask if that would cover union literature, just
you use some covering phrase like that, and then, assuming
that it does, ask whether that was the purpose of having it
