MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have one in mind which is in relation to
hours, but I would like you to raise the matters with me
before you do so because you may well be justified in doing
that, but what I do not want you to do is go off on a foray
into further evidence when you have very substantial
evidence set out in the statements in any event which, I am
assuming, Mr. Alimi will aver when he gets into the witness
box. Would you like to come into the witness please,
Mr., Alimi?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Alimi, you have been in court before so
you know the way things work to some extent, but keep your

MS. STEEL: Can I just say, can it be borne in mind English is

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I will say to you what I have said to other

fully or whether you are expressing yourself clearly,
please raise it.

England and I have been there ever since.

Q. You have your statement in front of you, yes? If I read

want to correct?
A. This is the first statement?

Q. The first statement, yes. The first sentence says you are
30 years old; is that the age you were when you started at
McDonald's?
A. That is correct. When I started I was 30 years old.

Q. "I was employed at McDonald's store in Colchester from
