     8        your licensees come from ethnic minorities?
     9        A.  Oh, certainly, sure.

    11   Q.   Remind us what the proportion of licensed restaurants is to
    12        McCopCo restaurants in the United States?
    13        A.  Company restaurants constitute approximately 14 per
    14        cent of all the restaurants; the remaining are franchised
    15        restaurants.

    17   Q.   Franchised restaurants.  Is there any significant
    18        proportion of people from ethnic minorities amongst the
    19        owner operators?
    20        A.  Yes, we have the largest group of minority operators of
    21        any franchise organisation in the United States by far.

    24        crew members and other hourly paid people within those
    25        licensed operations?
    26        A.  From observation?

    29        A.  Yes, exactly.  We do not keep statistics on our owner

    36        like Hertz, or car hire firms, do they operate

    42        Burger King and Wendy's.

    45        A.  Kentucky Fried Chicken would similarly be broken down
    46        between company and franchise.

    49        they not?  We are not looking at quick service restaurant
    50        figures when we look at the US; we are looking at ------ 
    51        A.  Total, all companies, if you are referring to D1?

    54        in D1, when you made the comparison with other franchise
    55        operators ---
