Day 265 - 19 Jun 96 - Page 33
Q. Do you accept that when you wrote in your note on 4th
January, 1990 that there was a very large drawer -- I am
asking it in an unleading form if Mr. Morris would like me
to. You wrote in your note of 14th January 1990, there is
one very large drawer which is marked "McNasty or something
like that." Do you actually remember a drawer -- we see
they were marked McDonald's, do you also remember one
called McNasty?
A. From my notes I have made reference to McNasty but it
would probably be of that drawer. It would have depended
where I sat in the room.

Q. Now, if you want to just look through to the end of that
photograph section, please do. I think there is only one
more, in fact, which is number 11. I do not need to ask
anything about that. Do you know, Mr. Claire -- well you
do know, Mr Claire, you told us in your statement, you took
these photographs?
A. Yes, I did.

Q. And you have given us the date, I think. I had better just
check this. You have given us the date as being 6th March
90?
A. I believe, from looking at the photographs, that is
correct.

Q. That is right. If you look at the first one. In fact, it
is in the bottom left-hand corner running downwards in
front of the car's wing mirror. It says '93, 6', which is
the 6th March 1990 going backwards, is it not?
A. Right.

Q. How did you come to take these photographs, Mr. Claire?
A. I went to the offices one evening with the principal,
and took them.

Q. How did you obtain entry to the office?
A. The main entrance door on the Caledonian Road is
operated by an entry 'phone system which is manned by the
lesbian and gay switchboard.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Please keep your voice up?
A. Who have offices on the first floor. 24-hour, I
believe they are manned. An entry was again by the front
door, being given access by lesbian and gay switchboard by
a member of their staff.

Q. Then you went upstairs?
A. That is correct.

Q. What about getting into the office of London Greenpeace?
A. The door lock on the office to London Greenpeace was
basically not very strong and it was decided by me and
principals that entry to it would not be a problem and we
--

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just pause a moment.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I have thought about this and I
anticipated your Lordship might want to do what you have
