Day 263 - 14 Jun 96 - Page 42
despite the fact that Marion, who was organising the
meeting, had been unable to get hold of any speakers. You
confirm that, yes?
A. Yes.

Q. On the following page:

"Dave Morris telephoned. He had said he would attempt to
attend the meeting next week. I mentioned to him that
there was a parcel of baby clothes for him in the office
and he said that I should give them to Helen who could drop
them into him."

You would confirm, would you?
A. Yes, I confirm that.

Q. What was the purpose of giving a parcel of baby clothes?
A. As far as I recall, it was an attempt to discover
Mr. Morris's address.

Q. When you talk, lower down, about "the man Paul left the
pub", you have again put it in inverted commas. You do not
remember why it was that you did that?
A. I do not. If I had knowledge of another operative
within the group who was attending meetings as well as me,
then I see no reason why I would not have referred to him
as I knew him. But I do not remember why this particular
Paul -- maybe it is possible I did have some suspicion that
he was not being honest, but I do not recall that. I have
no recollection of that.

Q. Right.
A. Maybe it was to differentiate between Paul and
Paul Gravett. I really do not know.

Q. You have got a reference at the end of the page about
travelling back with me on the Piccadilly Line, and then
you found out the reasons why I have not been to the
meetings. That was presumably you asking me why I had not
been to meetings?
A. I do not know. Maybe it was. Maybe you volunteered
information. I really do not remember.

Q. OK. Incidentally, we have heard reference to some IMF
photographs of a demonstration inside the World Bank. It
has been referred to in some of the other notes. Do you
recollect that there was a series of black and white
photographs of a demonstration inside the IMF's offices,
the World Bank's offices, and that I was looking for them,
and they appeared to have gone missing, and I asked you
about them, and you said that the last person you had seen
them in the possession of was Alan from Catford?
A. I do not recollect that, no.

Q. You do not remember that?
A. No.

Q. If we move on to 7th June, please. This was a meeting at
Caledonian Road, where you arrived and you were let in by
Jane; and at that time there was Jane and myself in the
