Day 262 - 13 Jun 96 - Page 28
over. However, it was not universally true; sometimes
people did arrive later, sometimes they left earlier.

Q. So, it was not an unusual occurrence for people to arrive
late or to leave earlier, basically?
A. It was not an unusual occurrence for individuals
throughout the time I was there that it happened; it was
not unusual that it happened, no.

Q. Sometimes, in your notes, you have not mentioned when
individuals arrived or left; you just said so-and-so was
present. So, you did not note down every time when someone
arrived and every time when someone left?
A. No, I did not.

Q. So, for example, if you said on a particular date that
there were seven identified people at that meeting, it
would not mean those seven identified people were at the
meeting the whole time, from the time you arrived to the
time you left? It may have been that some of them came in
during that meeting or left early?
A. It may have been. It was usual for me to note if
people left early or arrived late, but I did not always do
it.

MS. STEEL: 1st March, we are on still.

"Present at this meeting were Helen Steel, Jane,
Dave Morris, and the man from Catford, whose name I learned
to be Alan."

So there were four people at this meeting; yes?
A. Yes, it seems, yes.

Q. Two of whom were inquiry agents -- no, there were five
people at this meeting, two of whom were inquiry agents?
A. Yes.

Q. "Due to the lack of numbers and lack of 'essential' people
at the meeting, little was discussed of any import." You
would agree with that; yes?
A. That is what is written, yes.

Q. Then you go on from there with just general information and
personal information about people. On the following page,
you say, just under halfway down the page:

"Helen shares a house with other people (including
Andrew Clarke) There are six people in the house in total,
and it is part of a housing cooperative."

You confirm that, yes?
A. That is what it says, yes.

Q. Mr. Morris was at this meeting. If he had been living at
the same house, you would have made a note of it?
A. Well, I would have made a note if I had known. I can
only make of a note of what I remember and what I learned
at the meeting, what I hear.
