Day 072 - 12 Jan 95 - Page 49
for that area get a mark for No. 7, the information board,
if it was not their responsibility?
A. Well, they would generally get the marks, but if they
were specifically asked to do something then I suppose
marks would be taken away.

Q. So they could only pass if they had been asked to do all of
these tasks?
A. No, they would generally pass that.

Q. They automatically pass unless they had been asked to do it
and they failed to do it?
A. That is the way I interpret it, that they would get the
marks.

Q. Is that the same for No. 14 under "Cleanliness", unless
they were the person specifically asked to carry out the
trash walk they would get the marks for it unless they
failed to carry it out?
A. Yes. If they completed the trash walk and it was not
satisfactory, then they would not get the marks.

Q. But if they were not asked to do the trash walk, would they
automatically get marks?
A. Yes.

Q. They would.
A. But on the back of the OCL they have to know what a
trash walk is. So, if they did not know that then they
would not receive the marks or the other half of the OCL.

MR. MORRIS: Just a quick question on the maintenance person
that you do not have in your store. What happens when a
plug needs changing or something like that if you do not
have a maintenance person?
A. Well, we do not have a maintenance person specifically
employed by my restaurant, but by my supervisor group which
includes four restaurants we have a maintenance person who
can be called upon to assist with any problems we have with
maintenance and repair.

Q. Does that happen every time a plug needs changing or does a
crew member do it?
A. It would be delegated out.

Q. To?
A. To whoever is able to do that job.

Q. Who is that in your store?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I would have thought absolutely everyone
above a certain age ----
A. Is this an electrical plug?

MR. MORRIS: Yes, an electrical plug.
A. An electrical plug is different. Any electrics a person
has to have gone through a series of courses called the
electrical -- I am not sure -----

MR. RAMPTON: Does it matter?
