  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Thank you.

MR. RAMPTON: Are you proposing that a person should or could
sensibly eat McDonald's food as his sole diet?
       A. No, as I do not think anybody would want to eat any one
       thing as their sole diet.

  Q. Or as part of a diet composed largely of that kind of food?
       A. No, I think balance and moderation -- responsibility,
the balance and moderation are the keys.

  Q. I will ask this question, if I may -- I have asked it of
previous witnesses but I do not apologise for asking it
again -- do you have children, Mr. Green?
       A. Yes, I do.

  Q. Have they eaten McDonald's food?
       A. Yes, they have.

  Q. How old are they now?
       A. One is 17 and one is 21 -- just going to be 21.

  Q. I assume their diets are out of your control at this age?
       A. Yes, one is off at college -- I am not sure what he is
eating -- and the other one is at home.

  Q. But when they were within your control, your wife and
yourself, to what extent did you see yourselves as bearing
       responsibility for what they ate?
       A. I think that is part of the parents' responsibility.

  Q. Did the fact that you worked for McDonald's lead you to
suppose that they should have McDonald's food all the time?
       A. No, it did not. Again, you have to use reasonableness.

  Q. Did they watch television?
       A. Yes, they did.

  Q. Did they see McDonald's advertisements?
       A. Yes, they did.

  Q. Did they pester you to take them to McDonald's?
       A. Once in a while they did, yes.

  Q. Did you always say: "Yes, of course, whatever you want,
       dear"?
       A. No.

  Q. The last topic, Mr. Green: It is alleged by the Defendants
in this case that, in consequence of the complaints which
were made by three of the State Attorneys General about
       this advertising campaign, McDonald's prematurely
terminated the campaign. Are you aware that that
       allegation has been made?
       A. Yes, I am.

  Q. Is it true or is it false?
       A. It is false. We continued with the campaign. The only
ad that I remember that we might have changed (and I am not
