Day 167 - 02 Oct 95 - Page 65

       A. Would have a code along the side of them, and on the
other report it would say whether they have worked over 78
       hours in the pay period.

  Q. Yes.

MS. STEEL: The crew schedule is now put up -- is it now put up
on a notice board for the crew to see?
       A. It has always been put up on a notice board for the
       crew to see.

  Q. The part that is put up on the notice board, how many pages
are there to that or how big is it?
       A. Again it is maybe 10 pages. We would basically staple
it together and stick it on the board.

  Q. Right. That would be 10 pages for the week?
       A. Yes.

MS. STEEL: I do not think we have any more questions at the
moment on documents, but there are a couple of things that
we wanted to say about documents that we wanted.

MR. MORRIS: Just one question to the witness before he goes.
(To the witness): At the end of the day adjustments are
made for people that have not clocked off for their breaks
or clocked back or have not clocked out for their breaks?
       A. That is right.

  Q. The adjustment sheets, I think, according to Mr. Logan,
were done by hand or something; there was some kind of
record kept of all the changes?
       A. What happens is you, as part of your job, to close the
computer at night you will check through each person's
clock-card to make sure they have an equal number of in's
and out's. You compare that to the schedule and it will
tell if there is any discrepancies. If, for instance, you
have a note from the day shift Manager saying: "Jagon
Flint forgot to clock out for his break", you would scroll
through to Jagon and you would see that he forgot to clock
out for his break, you would clock him out for 45 minutes.
If you had another note from someone like a Floor Manager
saying they forgot to clock in this morning, you would
clock them in. You would make these changes manually.

To make these changes manually, you would have to enter the
system which means you would have to put your own code in,
and then you would get a report out when you finished
closing the system which would say what changes you have
made and to whose clock cards you have made them. You would
then have to sign that. The morning Manager, when they
come in, would have to check the changes and agree to it
       and sign it as well.

  Q. The changes would be summarised on a piece of paper,
       changes made?
       A. That is right.

  Q. That would be kept, would it?
       A. Yes.
