Day 166 - 28 Sep 95 - Page 65
Q. Yes, but I am talking about how many crew were employed at
one particular time?
A. How many employed at one time or how many were working
on the floor?

Q. Sorry, how many crew were working in the store in any one
hour?
A. It is going to vary because of the times of the year.
It is going to vary.

Q. If you just say between what and what; it does not have to
be exact but just roughly.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If you can remember, I take it you remember
the 88 because that was the record but -----
A. Yes, that is right. There was just ......

Q. But can you remember what the run of the mill numbers were?
A. Like, a Saturday we would probably have about 60 people
on the day shift possibly.

MS. STEEL: On the day shift?
A. Yes, but then again some Saturdays at times of the year
are busier than others. Some weekdays would have only 20,
25 people working, perhaps.

Q. The 60 people on a day shift on a Saturday, is that the
summer period or is that the kind of other period?
A. That is probably like a normal Saturday.

Q. Right. So sometimes in the summer it would be more than
that?
A. Yes.

Q. What was the fewest number of people that you would have
working in the store at any one time?
A. Would be on night shifts or night closes, if you like,
when the store is closed.

Q. How many would that be then?
A. Five or six working overnight.

Q. They would be crew, would they, yes?
A. Yes.

Q. Actually, those figures you have given before about 60,
that is of crew, is it?
A. Probably people actually.

Q. So that would include Managers?
A. Yes.

Q. How many Managers would that be?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Where are we going with this?

MS. STEEL: Yes, I wanted to work something out actually at the
end of this.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Where are we going though?
