WBI is an electronic Internet "buddy" that keeps track of users' Internet activity and generally helps make Web browsing simpler and easier. WBI uses intelligent agent technology to reduce the Internet's complexity, helping both experienced and inexperienced users.

WBI (pronounced "webby") agent software simplifies and personalizes Web use by:

* Noticing patterns in Web browsing and suggesting shortcuts.
* Automatically checking favorite Web pages for changes.
* Testing the speed of links between pages.
* Remembering a complete Web history, making it easy to return to a site.
* Searching through previously viewed information to find an information source.
* Letting users look back in "Web time" to see how they have visited pages
in the past.
* Providing connectivity to both Proxy and Socks servers.

When the WBI agent is connected to a Web browser, it captures information about each page a users accesses. Over time, the agent learns usage patterns well enough to predict user patterns. The result, called "Quantum Link," advises the user about the associated page. This feature can be applied in teaching applications, information access, network management and even electronic mail.

WBI also tracks all Web use. To find information on the Fly Fishing page, users can search for all instances when that page was accessed and recreate the links for those instances.

WBI can also generate automated hot lists by analyzing most frequently accessed or most recently accessed pages.
