FUTURE
The purpose of the WIDE project is to provide network technologies
which collectively enable a distributed environment in a highly
integrated manner. In this sense, the WIDE Internet will continue
to be a platform for research on network technologies. Satellite
communication and mobile computing are under active research, as
well as issues in security, protocols, administration, datalink
technology, education, and more.
