Next let's take a look at the "NEC Bridge Festival" and "1995 International Challenge."

NEC Bridge Festival
Bridge is one of the most popular games in the world played by young and old, men and women. It is sometimes defined as a cardgame that gives the same pleasure as reading detective stories.
There are also many people who enjoy this pleasure in Japan. A group of people with common liking for bridge gather together, much the same as when people enjoy bridge at home in living room with tea and buiscuits. Bridge lovers in Japan now organize frequent game meetings. Playing bridge has thus become one of most popular family games, like Go and Shogi, Japanese traditional games played by people regardless of age or gender.
This home page is designed to help those people find game results.
1995 International Challenge
Soccer: the most popular sport in the world.
In 1993 professional soccer league, J-League, in Japan was inaugurated with great success thanks to many devoted young fans, who have made soccer one of the most popular spectator sports.
Many big name soccer players on international level came to Japan to play and top level Japanese players who have played in international matches entertain the fans with their superb skills.
The first soccer games played in Japan date as far back as, believe it or not, one day in 1873 when British Navy lieutenant commander, who was a teacher, taught navy cadets to play. The game has become popular year by year since then, with two decisive events, the Tokyo Olympics in 1964 and Mexican Olympics in 1968, to become one of major spectator sports.
Soccer now has a solid popularity with a lot of fans and have reached the stage where variety information can be obtained through Internet.
