  Description
  CGIMachine-FORMVAR is fast 32-bit-CGI-Application. It can send the variables of an online-form to an email-account. It can automatically return a html-document to a client or a predefined message. An extra configuration-software makes the definition of the neccessary parameters very easy.

you have two new options :
  1. time and date can be added automatically to the message
  2. a message can be added automatically to the mail-subject
  Installation
  To use this application you need a Windows 95/NT-Server.
  • Decompress the ZIP-Archiv.
  • Copy the files Formvar.exe, FormvarConfiguration.exe and Formvar.ini in a folder, which is declared as CGI-Directory for executable applications.
  • Start the software Formvarconfiguration.exe
  • Set the parameters :
    HTML-File : choose the HTML-file on your server which should returned to the client. Use full pathname, no URL.If you don't choose a HTML-file the software will return a predefined text-message to the client
    MAIL FROM : EMail-Adress of the sender
    MAIL TO : the important Email-Adress of the receiver
    MAIL CC : send copies to these Email-Adresses (OPTIONAL)
    MAIL ATTACHMENT : including additional files (OPTIONAL)
    MAIL SUBJECT : the subject of the mail
    REMOTE HOST : adress of the mail-server for outgoing mail
    REMOTE PORT : 25
  • Design your HTML-file with the online-form.
    Use the action-command in your HTML-file :
    <form action="...url of your cgipath/formvar.exe" method="post">
