*** Backups
*
Because of the nature of Field Day operation you are encouraged to
make frequent backups.
*
Locations should be entered as in the the following example:
Northern Florida - enter as NFL (This will be converted to FL N)
or as FL N
For California sections it is only necessary to enter the Section, not the
state as it will be inserted on conversion. ie.
For Santa Clara Valled enter SCV - it will be converted to CA SCV
*
Each backup to the hard drive is given a unique name. For example
LOBLOG92.001 LOBLOG92.002 LOBLOG92.003 - Make sure this does not
cause you to run out of room. If you get too many backups on the hard
drive, delete some of the older files (lower the number = older the
backup). You may delete these files by dropping to DOS through the Hot Dos
exit (Alt-F7) PROVIDED you issued a SET CLIPPER=R60 command before starting
PcLog.
*
Should it every occur that PcLog will not start because of severly
damaged data files delete LOGDBF.DBF from the disk. Restart PcLog and
when it informs you that required contest files are missing select the
option which creates new files. When PcLog starts, restore your most
resent backup file (Shf-F2).
*
To have backups run automatically after nnn records have been added
to the file....see the install routine Ctl-F2.
*
REMEMEBER: HELP IS ALWAYS, AVAILABLE WITH Alt-F1
*
Have fun exploring this program, but to start, to the install with Ctl-F2
*
It is suggested you run a clock on the top right corner of the screen. I
acquired one called KLK.com which runs on a colour screen. If you wish to
run this clock, start it before PcLog.

If you wish to order the retail version of PcLog, see the file
ORDER.TXT
