  16.    You can Open this file using Windows Notepad and print it, or
  17.    print it from the "Viable" Button in ViaPrint itself.

  19.    NOTE 1:
  20.    
  21.    This program is written in Visual Basic.  Thus it needs the 
  22.    VBRUN200.DLL (which should be included) to run.  If you got 
  23.    your copy from an online service or bulletin board take note:
  24.  
  25.         Some BBS Sysops remove the VBRUN200.DLL file from Windows
  26.         programs that use it in order to save disk drive space.
  27.         If you are missing the VBRUN200.DLL file, log back on to
  28.         the service or BBS it came from, and, if you can't easily
  29.         find the VBRUN file, leave a comment to your Sysop asking
  30.         how he/she allows people to acquire it.

  32.    NOTE 2:

  34.     Some printers apparently will not print .BMP pictures from
  35.     ViaPrint.  We are working to alleviate this situation - 
  36.     meanwhile you'll find ViaPrint useful without pictures!

  40.     How to install your program as an Icon with the 
  41.     Windows' Program Manager.
  42.  
  43.     1. First install the program in a DOS directory, 
  44.     outside of Windows.
  45.  
  46.     2. Start up Windows and open the PROGRAM MANAGER.
  47.  
  48.     3. Click once on the group in which you want the 
  49.     new Icon installed.
  50.  
  51.     4. Go up to the menu bar at the top of your screen 
  52.     and click on the word FILE.
  53.  
  54.     5. A menu drops down.  Click on NEW.
  55.  
  56.     6. You will see a window with two choices.  Select 
  57.     PROGRAM ITEM.  Then click on OKAY.
  58.  
  59.     7. Another window appears entitled PROGRAM ITEM
  60.     PROPERTIES.
  61.  
  62.     8. Click in the box labeled DESCRIPTION. Type 
  63.     "ViaPrint".
  64.  
  65.     9. Use the tab key or mouse and go to the box 
  66.     labeled COMMAND LINE.  Type the full name of the 
  67.     path to the directory where you have installed 
  68.     ViaPrint, and the name VIA.EXE. For example,
  69.     if the program is in a directory called VIAPRINT on the
  70.     C drive you would enter    C:\VIAPRINT\VIA.EXE in the 
  71.     box.

  73.     10. Use the TAB key to go to the box labeled WORKING
  74.     DIRECTORY.  Type the name of the directory in which 
  75.     you installed ViaPrint.  For example, if you 
  76.     installed the game in a directory called VIAPRINT, then 
  77.     type C:\VIAPRINT.

  79.     11. Now click on OKAY in the PROGRAM ITEM PROPERTIES
  80.     Window.
  81.  
  82.     You should now have the ViaPrint Icon installed 
  83.     in your PROGRAM MANAGER. Enjoy the program!

  85.    NOTE 4:
  86.    
  87.    It has come to my attention that certain SVGA video hardware
  88.    is non-compatible with the MicroSoft Visual Basic Environment and
  89.    causes problems every so often in 800 x 600 mode and more often in
  90.    1024 x 768 resolution.  Buttons will be misplaced etc.  At the 
  91.    moment there is one solution:
  92.         Open the Windows Setup icon and select CHANGE SYSTEM SETTINGS
  93.         from the OPTIONS menu.  Follow the prompts to change your
  94.         video mode to a 640 x 480 resolution driver.  The game will
  95.         now run fine.  When you're finished, return to Setup and
  96.         re-install your original driver.
