  73. This package contains the Mouse Math (TM) <ASP> program (Version 1.1),
  74. by Hufnagel Software.  Mouse Math is a verbal mathematics drill program
  75. which gradually uncovers whimsical photographs as answers to spoken
  76. problems are clicked with a mouse.   Setup options allow you to
  77. select problem ranges appropriate for young children, teens and adults.

  79. Mouse Math is a Windows program and will perform best on systems
  80. equipped with at least a 256 color video card and a sound card.
  81.  
  82. This is a shareware version of Mouse Math and includes all features of
  83. the program, and is not crippled in any way, but this version does
  84. include only 5 whimsical drill pictures and has limited problem ranges.
  85. If you like the shareware version, then you will want to order the
  86. registered version to get all 15 pictures and expanded problem ranges.

  169. ===== Installation =====================================

  171. The installation procedure for Mouse Math is quite simple.  The
  172. package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the
  173. entire process.  You will need about 2MB of available disk space
  174. on the hard drive on which you plan to install Mouse Math.
  175.  
  176. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  177. Mouse Math.

  179.  
  180. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  181.  
  182. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  183.  
  184.    o  Place the Mouse Math distribution diskette in the appropriate
  185.       diskette drive.
  186.  
  187.    o  Start Windows and from the Program Manager click on FILE and then
  188.       on RUN.  Now type A:SETUP and press Enter.  Mouse Math will be
  189.       installed from your computer's A drive.
  190.  
  191.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.

  194. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  195.  
  196. If you downloaded Mouse Math from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  197. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  198. following steps.

  200.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  201.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  202.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  203.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  204.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  205.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  206.       directions for doing this from the same source from which you
  207.       received the package.

  209.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  210.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  211.       the Mouse Math package is C:\TEMPDIR, you should get into the
  212.       Windows Program Manager, click FILES and then click RUN.  Now
  213.       type C:\TEMPDIR\SETUP.EXE and press Enter to start the
  214.       installation.

  216. When you're satisfied that the installation was successful, you should
  217. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed Mouse Math
  218. (C:\TEMPDIR, in the above discussion), including all its contents.

  223. Once you've complete the installation, double click on the Mouse Math
  224. icon to start the program.  Click on Help to get started using the
