GAME MENU AND JUMP RULES:A
* The first answer to each entry in the CHEKKERS Menu is the
'DEFAULT' response and only requires use of the ENTER key.
For example: Pressing the ENTER key for a (N/Y) option
will result in a NO response.C
* Level 1 is for beginners and does not require you to use the
Hoyle or Huff jump rules. However, the computer alwaysC
uses the Hoyle rule during all Levels of play. Levels 2 and
higher require you to choose between the Hoyle and Huff>
rules of play. Once selected, the game rule can not be>
changed, except at Level 1 which requires no jump rule.9
* HOYLE Rule. Each player MUST jump the opponent if
presented with the opportunity. The player
has the option if different jumps are possible.
All possible checkers must be taken during1
any particular jump sequence.
* HUFF Rule. If You choose NOT to jump the Computer when
presented with the opportunity, you will forfeit theG
one checker with which you should have jumped with.
GAME INSTRUCTIONS AND RULES:
* The 'Blinking Box' is used to locate a Checker to move.9
* The 'Blinking Checker' indicates a Checker in use.
* During your turn, if you return the Checker to its originalA
position, the `5' will return you to the 'Blinking Box' so
you can instead choose a different Checker to move.<
* During the game, you have access to 2 lines of 'HELP'>
information, which describe the 9 functions that can be:
selected. Any function can be activated during the<
'Blinking Box' by just pressing one of the following:(
Press L to change game LEVEL.(
Press S to turn SOUND On/Off.'
Press W to turn WAIT On/Off.
Press F to FLIP board & checkers (change sides).
Press R to RECORD game & board information."
Press E to EXIT to DOS.'
Press N to start a NEW game.
Press H (twice) to display 2 lines of HELP information.
