The purpose of the game is to solve the cross-word puzzle with the highest possible score using any of the 2600+ words supplied. Games can be saved or previous games can be loaded as desired. During gameplay, the built-in sieving and sorting feature can be utilised to aid solving the puzzle with the highest possible score. The rules of the game are simple. Any words from the list can be inserted into the cross-word grid, either vertically or horizontally. However, the first cell must be selected before a word can be inserted. The same rule applies to removing inserted words. Once a word has been inserted into the cross-word grid, the same word cannot be used again in the same grid. Scores will be monitored and updated automatically according to the values assigned to each character of the alphabet.
To insert a word, highlight the word from the list on the left and select the first horizontal or vertical cell at the location in grid before clicking on the Insert button (horizontally or vertically). To remove a word, select the first character of the word and click on the Remove button (horizontally or vertically). To save the current game, click on the Save Current Game button; to load a previous game, click on the Load Previous Saved Game button.
The cross-word grid can be customised to your own likings. However, to be able to do this, your current grid must not contain any inserted words. Also note that by changing to Design Mode, you would lose any previous saved game. To design your own grid, click on the Design button. Once done, click on the Saved Grid Design button and then click on the Solve button to return to gameplay.
To change the individual letter value of the alphabet, click on the Edit Letter Value button. With the resulting dialog box, change the letter value to your likings and click OK when done. To use the built-in default value, click on the Default button before clicking on OK.
