  17. WinImage is a disk image management utility.  A disk image is a file
  18. which contains all floppy disk data (boot sector, FATs, directories
  19. and files) of a standard or non-standard format floppy disk.
  20.  
  21. WinImage reads and writes in the standard and non-standard disk
  22. formats now in use by IBM, Microsoft and others, and allows you to
  23. take advantage of Windows'95 and Windows NT 4.0 internal DMF disk
  24. support.

  27. 160kb, 180kb, 320kb, 360kb, 720kb, 1.2mb, 1.44mb, 2.88mb.

  29. Non-standard Formats Supported:
  30. 820kb, 1.68mb, DMF 1024 cluster, DMF 2048 cluster, and 1.72mb.

  32. By making an image of a floppy disk and writing that image to another
  33. floppy disk, you get an exact copy of the original disk. You can read a
  34. floppy and create an exact image of that floppy as one file on a hard
  35. disk. Later, without using the original disk, you can extract a file from
  36. the image, just as if you had copied it from the original floppy disk.
  37. You can write the image to another floppy disk, without needing the
  38. original disk, and have an exact copy of it.

  40. This utility works where DOS diskcopy can not because of non-standard
  41. disk formats.
