CONNECTIX February 22, 1996
Greetings! Thank you for trying the Connectix QuickCards Limited Edition
Volume 1. In this version all cards can be viewed, but only the cards in
the catagory "Try These" can be personalized. We hope you enjoy this
product and that it allows you spread smiles and cheer. This ReadMe file
includes a few brief tips and clarifications in using Connectix QuickCards.
In addition to reading this file, you may wish to have your QuickCards
manual handy while you are selecting and personalizing your QuickCards!
If you are using QuickCards in conjunction with a Connectix QuickCam, you will
want to have the QuickCam already installed so that the QuickCards Installer
can update the QuickCam driver. If you are personalizing a QuickCard and the
QuickCam image does not appear to fill the entire image area, verify that you
are indeed using the driver (Quickcam.drv) file provided on your QuickCards
CD-ROM. (The QuickCam driver provided on this CD-ROM is version 1.2,
dated 2/22/96.)
Saving a card for the Macintosh requires you to save directly to a floppy
disk. This is due to the file format differences between the two platforms.
When you save your QuickCard for playback on a Macintosh, a few files are
created. Your friend with a Macintosh will see two files: one, with the file
name (as determined by you) and other information, the other, the Macintosh
QuickCards Player, which will be named "Double-Click Me!" All your friend has
to do to view his or her QuickCard is double-click that file.
Each and every QuickCard has a custom palette. It is possible that the
QuickCard palette and the combination of your video card and monitor may not
match 100%. This is purely cosmetic and will in no way impact the playback or
performance of your QuickCard. (Unfortunately, we were not able to test with
EVERY existing video card/ monitor combination.)
Enjoy QuickCards!!
