  2.                            AW's Magic Icons V2.0
  3.                           =======================

  5.      Here is my second MagicWB icon collection.  These icons are mostly
  6.      original, but some are modified (and improved I think :-) from
  7.      other MagicWB icons and other 'standard' icons (isn't MagicWB
  8.      standard by now? :-).  I have also included some of the better icons
  9.      from AWMWB1, such as the non-lace disk icons, probably the most
  10.      useful in the collection.

  12.      All icons are standard size so you don't have to have an uneven
  13.      display if you don't want to.
  14.  
  15.      All the drawer icons have empty drawers behind them, so you can
  16.      use IconUpdate or similar program to update your old drawers.
  17.  
  18.      There are also some icons designed for non-interlaced displays.
  19.      The only MWB icons that don't look right on non-interlaced displays
  20.      are the disk ones I feel, so I've designed these so they look a
  21.      bit better and take up less space.  I've seen SmallMWB or what
  22.      ever it is, and quite frankly the icons in it suck.

  24.      I also don't include any pics of my WB in archives either -
  25.      it only horrendously increases the size of the archive, and I don't
  26.      honestly think it interests people that much.

  28.      *MOTE* - These icons are designed for MagicWB2 or above,
  29.      running MagicWBDaemon or a similar utility.  Otherwise
  30.      they may look a bit wierd on your WB depending on how many
  31.      colours you are using.

  33. ICONS IN THIS DISTRIBUTION
  34.  
  35.      Apps -    OctaMED -      Icon using part of the keyboard from OctaMED2.
  36.                Imagine -      I've never seen an icon for this, strange
  37.                               considering the popularity.  A cube as seen
  38.                               in the detail editor becoming 'rendered'.
  39.                DTP -          A standard DTP icon.  Modified from Martin
  40.                               Huttenloher's original dock.
  41.                Sound Editor - Once again modified from Martin's Dock.
  42.                Video Drawer - For general video applications.  A tape.
  43.                AMOS Drawer -  Drawer with AMOS on it.
  44.                AMOS -         Icon with reduced size AMOS from the original
  45.                               AMOS icon.  This is another icon I'm surprised
  46.                               I haven't seen before.
  47.                AMOS Pro -     Again, reduced size AMOS icon with the 'Pro'
  48.                               backdrop.
  49.                Cinemorph -    Modified from Rom's SuperView drawer, with
  50.                drawer         a reduced version of my morphed Mona Lisa as
  51.                               the alternative image.
  52.                Cinemorph -    Modified from Rom's SuperView icon.  The
  53.                               alternative image was actually generated by
  54.                               Cinemorph, and though it is truly disgusting
  55.                               it also allows us to see that the Mona
  56.                               Lisa was infact modelled on Adolph Hitler! :-)
  57.                Photogenics -  A camera.
  58.                Drawer
  59.                C64Emulator -  An icon for Commodore 64 emulators.  The
  60.                               BASIC bytes free is wrong though, I can't
  61.                               remember what is was :-(  32768?  Anyway,
  62.                               I just left it at 32000.  Maybe in the next
  63.                               collection.
  64.                ComicSetter -  Shows POW and BOOM when pressed, in comic
  65.                               tradition.
  66.                XCAD -         Just an alternative to the standard MagicWB
  67.                               CAD icons that uses the name of the program
  68.                               instead of an actual image.
  69.  
  70.      Commod- - Exchange -     Modified from Martin's Exchange icon and
  71.      ities                     Commodity background.  Once again, I've
  72.                               always wondered why Martin didn't give
  73.                               the commodities their own icons.
  74.                Autopoint -    Shows the active status of two drawers
  75.                               changing.
  76.                ClicktoFront - Shows a window moving in front of another.
  77.                Blanker -      Modified from a couple of other blanker icons
  78.                               I had lying around.  By Rom and Tau I think.
  79.                CrossDOS -     Shows a disk with DF0:???? underneath changing
  80.                               to MS-DOS.
  81.                FKey -         Basically just an icon by Tau (I think).
  82.                MouseBlanker - Shows a pointer disappearing when an 'A' is
  83.                               typed into a shell window.
  84.                NoCaps -       Once again from an icon by Tau (I think).
  85.                               Modified to show the Caps Lock light on, then
  86.                               off even when the button has been pressed.
  87.  
  88.      Coms -    Download -     A simple download icon, arrow towards computer.
  89.                Upload -       A simple upload icon, arrow away from computer.
  90.  
  91.      DirOpus - DirOpus -      Modified from Martin's original File
  92.                               Manager dock.
  93.                "Config -      A prefs icon with the DirOpus icon on it.
  94.  
  95.      Disks -   Disk -         A smaller disk icon for use on non-laced
  96.                               displays.  The aspect ratio isn't right,
  97.                               but it looks better than the standard one
  98.                               on non-laced displays.
  99.                Kick -         As above, but a kick icon.  Use an icon
  100.                               editor that can handle kick icons, or
  101.                               Icon Update to copy to def_kick.
  102.                HD -           A HD icon for non-laced displays, correct
  103.                               aspect ratio.  From Martin's original.
  104.                RAM -          A smaller RAM icon for non-laced displays.
  105.  
  106.      Games     F1GP -         Modified Microprose icon.
  107.                F1GP2 -        Based on FIA's integrated F1 logo.
  108.                F1GP3 -        Standard sized icon.
  109.                F1GPEd -       A preferences icon for F1GPEd (sort of a
  110.                               prefs program)
  111.                Racing -       A drawer icon for F1GP.
  112.                ArcadeAdven -  Drawer icon (a gun).
  113.                AnotherWorld - Icon showing 'Another World' text/logo.
  114.                               Since Delphine (for some reason known only
  115.                               to them) decided to tell everyone to load
  116.                               AW (and FB) on HD from the CLI, I have
  117.                               attached IconX scripts to these icons, to
  118.                               load the games.  This means you will have to
  119.                               copy icon and file using drag and drop,
  120.                               rather than using IconUpdate or similar prog.
  121.                Flash-back -   Icon showing 'Flashback' text + script.
  122.                               Do not rename this icon to 'Flashback'.  Since
  123.                               the program file is 'Flashback', I decided to
  124.                               just add the hyphen to get a different name
  125.                               for the script.
  126.                GraphicAdven - Shows a LucasFilm/Arts type button asking
  127.                               you to open it when closed and vice versa.
  128.                Adventure -    Simple arrow and N for North.  More for
  129.                               text adventures.
  130.                Golf -         Club, tee and ball.
  131.                FlightSim -    Reduced size F15 from Mark Sorenson's F15
  132.                Drawer         icon which I suspect was modified from
  133.                               Microprose's original icon.
  134.                FlightSim -    Ditto.
  135.                Cards -        A drawer for card games.
  136.                Airbrush -     Icon for KlondikeIII cardset.  Reduced size
  137.                               and recoloured from Reko's icon.
  138.                C64 -          Redrawn to be a standardized icon.
  139.                Default -      Modified from Rom's Klondike icon.
  140.                Puzzled -      Ditto, with different symbols.
  141.                Standard -     Modified from Rom's Klondike icon.
  142.                WBGames -      Shows a small game of Tetris, in a WB window.
  143.                Drawer         For the FMS collection of WBGames.
  144.                15 -           Depicts a game of 15.
  145.                Boulder -      Depicts a game of Boulder.
  146.                Boxman -       Depicts a game of Boxman.
  147.                Columns -      Depicts a game of Columns.
  148.                Mine -         Depicts a game of Mines.
  149.                Tetris -       Depicts a game of Tetris.

  151.      System - All modified from Martin's original icons, now standard size.

  153.      Tools  -  HDBackup -     Constructed from Rom's standard size and
  154.                               JTE's moving drive head/cover icons.
  155.                HDToolBox -    As above.

  157.      Utils -   QBTools -      Detail from QBTools2.

  159.                IconUpdate -   Modified from Martin's original icon.  Now
  160.                               standard sized.
  161.                DMSWin -       Large disk becoming small disk in window.
  162.                Install -      Another one of those ones that there should
  163.                               be but ain't.  A decent install icon.
  164.                Mostra -       Rom's standard picture displayer icon
  165.                               fading in (as a picture does in Mostra).
  166.                SuperView -    I thought Rom's SuperView icon was excellent,
  167.                               except he forgot that SuperView is a
  168.                               commodity, and as such deserves a commodity
  169.                               background.
  170.                DKB Drawer -   A drawer to put DKB Magicmem in (see below).
  171.                               DKB's logo on the drawer.
  172.                def_       -   A nice sized non-lace icon to use as a back-
  173.                background     ground for PictIcon's icons.  Copy the icon
  174.                               to env:sys/, and modify these tooltypes in
  175.                               PictIcon's icon:
  176.                               BACKGROUND_ICON=env:sys/def_background
  177.                               CENTER=YES
  178.                               PIC_X_POS=4
  179.                               PIC_Y_POS=1
  180.                               PIC_X_SIZE=93

  185.      WBStartup PC0 -          For a PC0: icon I now use my CrossDOS icon.
  186.                               (If you mount PC0: in WBStartup you don't
  187.                               get a PC0:???? icon under DF0:.  See
  188.                               the Commodities drawer for this icon (I
  189.                               didn't want to put it in two different
  190.                               places).
  191.                DiskSpare -    Same as above, but for the DiskSpareDevice.
  192.                DKB Magicmem - ShowConfig icon with DKB logo on.
  193.                M(ulti)tool1 - Similar to Rom's icon, but with the tools
  194.                               popping out of the knife when the icon is
  195.                               pressed.
  196.                M(ulti)tool2 - Same as above, but with commodity background.
  197.                Starblank    - If you like seeing stars as your blanker.
  198.                Trashmaster1 - MagicWB trashcan on commodity background.
  199.                               Redrawn by hand rather than scaling.  For
  200.                               Trashmaster or similar AppIcon Trashcan
  201.                               startup program.
  202.                Trashmaster2 - Alternative MagicWB trashcan, redrawn
  203.                               by hand once again.
  204.                VirusChecker - With a little surprise for the nasty virus :-)
