The files in this archive are for evaluating Invasion
before registering and for playing a full registered
game.

=============System Requirements=================
Invasion was designed to be compatible with the widest variety
of Palm OS« compatible devices in use to date. It requires:

PalmOS« v3.0 or greater
Minimum 425KB of free memory*

Broad compatibility demanded that Invasion graphics be based on 2-bit (4 shades)
grayscale displays(supported on all PalmOS« v3.0+ devices). Invasion will run
in grayscale mode on both grayscale and color devices. Color graphics may be added
to future releases if we receive enough customer requests. In the case that a color
version is released, registered users of Invasion will be able to upgrade at no cost.

Devices that meet Invasion requirements include Palm III(TM) series, V(TM) series,
m100(TM) series, and m500(TM) series devices, Handspring Visor(TM) series, IBM Workpad(TM)
series, HandEra TRGpro(TM), and Sony CLIE(TM) series, and other devices that support
Palm OS« software v3.0 and higher.

*This is an estimate assuming that the application (*.prc file) and the level
database being played are installed. The average size of a level database is 25KB,
so about 650KB is required to install the application and ALL the databases. This
is a convenient option if space is available, but is not required to play.

=============How to Install======================
This archive file contains the main Invasion application
file (Invasion140.prc) and the first Level database (InvasionLevel01.pdb).
To install both these files, you must have the Palm(TM) Desktop organizer software
installed and running on a PC or Mac. HotSync« both these Invasion files
to your Palm OS« compatible handheld (follow your Palm(TM) Desktop software
instructions on how to perform a HotSync« operation).

When installation is complete, tap the Invasion icon from the main
Applications screen to play.

=============Issues/Concerns/Bugs================
Invasion has been thoroughly tested by Handlogic's
Quality Assurance team and we believe it to be a robust, high quality
game. We strive for zero defects. However, unforeseen problems may occur
and we will quickly resolve problems as they are reported and post
fixes for you to download.

1) Due to the computing limitations of some Palm OS« compatible
handhelds, Invasion gamespeed performance may not be optimal on
some devices. Thoroughly play the unregistered demo version before purchase to
verify that gamespeed is acceptable to you.

2) On 3Com Palm III(TM) devices only, a few players have reported a "Fatal Exception"
while playing Invasion. This problem is very rare and most users will not
experience it. The error is due to the size of dynamic memory available
to applications running on the Palm III(TM) and that Invasion utilizes
every bit of processing power made available by the device. Unfortunately, it
cannot be corrected by the Invasion Development Team. We apologize if
you happen to experience this error, but testing has proven it to be very infrequent
and gameplay can be resumed from a saved game. So hopefully, it is a minor
inconvenience if it happens at all.

surrounding the event and the type of handheld you are playing on.

=============How to Play=========================
---Key Objectives---
Infiltrate and explore the Hive, kill every Alien attacking or
fleeing, rescue any humans left alive, and ultimately destroy the Queen.
To find the Queen, navigate the Hive cells using your Sensor and Mapping
Instrument (S.A.M.I.). Stray from the direct route S.A.M.I. indicates to
explore as much as possible, killing more Aliens and saving more humans.
Even testing walls for secret doors may help. When you successfully
complete a cell, you automatically search for supplies to sustain yourself.
You are given an opportunity to check and use inventory items, given progress
reports, and asked to choose the next cell to explore.

*Use Med Paks to heal yourself when health is low.
*Use Serum to revive human captives and save yourself from venom attacks.
*Use Gas Mask Filters when you encounter toxic gas.
*Use Force Field Charges to protect yourself from powerful threats.
*Use Access Cards to gain entry to secure areas.
---Weapon-----------------------
You carry a blaster rifle which accepts a variety of lethal ammo, use
each judiciously.
---Score------------------------
Points are scored for each Alien you kill and bonuses are awarded
depending on how well you perform your key objectives.
---Exterminator Rating (E.R.)---
Your performance is measured from 0-10, based on the number of Aliens
killed, humans saved, and Hive cells explored. You can mass a high
score without a high E.R., but you won't be given a hero's welcome
when you return home.
