Another big loss for General Weapons yesterday as Rebel forces once again broke through one of the weapons manufacturer's toughest security bases. Finally admitting that the Rebellion is more than simply a "minor personnel problem", General Weapons released the following statement:
"It is now apparent that the Rebel uprising presents a greater risk than it first appeared. We now believe that they have stolen plans for a prototype aircraft which they are using to evade our defenses. Though they have broken through our security forces so far, they will most definitely be stopped at the northern border. Our border defences are the best in the corporate world and will simply not allow a living soul to pass. Due to the dangerous nature of the rebels, we request that all corporate counties consider the common interest of stopping the rebels."
Few of these facts were not generally known earlier and General Weapons integrity is at question in other areas as well. The lawsuits launched by McDeath and War*Mart were decided as justifiable by the Chief Executive Officers of the seven major corporate counties, forcing General Weapons to pay punitive damages of no less than 3,500,000,000 economic credits to each county. Due to exceptionally low demand for new security contracts coupled with the recent expenditures on internal defences, the weapons manufacturing giant is expected to have great difficulty paying the required amount. Regardless, the corporation states all issues will be resolved upon the next conflict with the rebels.
