Check for registry orphans.
To check for registry orphans:
Click here to open Norton Registry Editor.
From the Edit menu, choose Find.
Click the Orphans option button.
Click Find Now.
A list of registry orphans appears.
To correct registry orphans:
Right-click an orphan entry.
Select Go Here from the context menu.
Rename the file reference.
Or,
Delete the orphan key.
Repeat this process for each orphan entry.
Norton Registry Editor must be installed for this procedure to work. Normally, Norton Registry Editor is automatically installed when you setup Norton Utilities. It could be missing, however if you selected a custom setup.
