Mission 1: Watchful Yeoman

This mission starts with you being inserted by helicopter into a field. You have two directional choices: south or west. The most common approach to the mission is to head west and secure the ridge directly in front of you. The other approach is to sweep south and clear out the small groups of enemies first. The tertiary objective on this mission is to have no casualties, so caution is recommended.

Once youÆve secured the high ground, you should move all of your teams to cover you as you go in and clear out the plantation. As you proceed into the plantation, be prepared for enemies flanking around buildings: theyÆll attempt to come up behind you, and theyÆll use grenades. Make sure youÆve got your teams spread out, or one well-placed grenade toss can take out your entire squad. Use grenades to clear out buildings before entering them manually, and be very careful in the barn ù enemies in the stalls can catch you in a nasty crossfire. Clearing out all of the enemies from the plantation completes the first objective.

After youÆve cleared all the enemies from the village, sweep south to clear out the newer corral and secure the first package. Use the abandoned truck for cover, and pick off enemies through the windows before you move into the building itself. Be prepared for some enemies hiding among the boxes. Once you clear the building, get close to the package, which is labeled on your command map, to complete the second objective.

Now that youÆve cleared the corral building and secured the first package, itÆs a good time to clear the southwest area of the map. Leave a team behind to make sure that there are no enemies whoÆll come up behind you while you are securing the second package. Next, move along the south edge of the map, watching out for enemy patrols. Use the edge of the field as cover for your flank while you move into the southeast field. From there, you should be able to clear out the enemies defending the second package. Once you clear the area, get close to the package, which is labeled on your command map, to complete the third objective.

Mission 2: Angel Rage

You are inserted by helicopter into the southeast corner of the map. Take one team to the northeast, and send your second team to hold just east of the southwest guard post. You should try to take down both guard posts within a minute or two of each other, or else the main camp will be alerted to your presence and will be prepared for you when you move in. The tertiary objective in this mission is to complete it with no casualties, so caution is advised.

First, head north along the east side of the map to secure the northeast guard tower, being careful of patrols on the way. The guard post is protected by a machine-gun emplacement on the ground and a sniper in the tower (both facing southwest), so the best way to approach the post is to come at it from the south and circle around behind it to take out everyone. A grenade fired into the tower is an efficient way to clear out the sniper there. Clearing this guard post will complete the second objective.

Next, quickly take your other team and clear out the southwest guard post. A sniper and a grenade launcher guard the northern approach, while a machine gun guards the southwestern approach. The best way to attack this post is to come from the west, quickly dispatching the machine gunner while keeping the small building between you and the guard tower. Once youÆve eliminated the machine gunner, putting some grenades both into the tower and at the base should clear out the rest of the post defenders. ItÆs a good idea to move up into the tower and take a look to the northwest, as you may be able to pick off some of the forest patrols from this point. Clearing this guard post will complete the first objective.

You should now move your teams back together, joining them up in an area to the south of the main enemy base. There are several patrols moving through the jungle in various areas, so you should move slowly, keeping alert for any enemies.

Once you have your teams assembled, you should move to attack the base. The easiest approach is through the small gate on the south side. There will be some guards at the gate, so be cautious when entering. After you pass the gate, head around the building directly to your left and begin the task of clearing out the base. Move from building to building, making sure each is clear before moving on to the next. Once youÆve cleared all enemies from the base, youÆll have completed the third objective.

Mission 3: Jaguar Maze

The mission begins with you being inserted by helicopter into the northwest corner of the map. Anti-tank rockets are required to complete this mission, so guard your demo guys well. You can take several routes in this mission, as itÆs very open-ended. Generally, youÆll want to secure the optional objective first, so head south, along the west edge of the map. Use the rocks along the western border of the map to cover your flank. The clear areas between the rock formations often have small patrols in them, so be careful and try to stay behind cover. Also, be aware that these patrols take long paths through the rocks, so at times it may be better to wait them out and let them move on.

As you approach the downed plane in the southwest area of the map, be aware of the team of enemies defending it. As soon as you engage them, theyÆll fall back and take cover in the plane itself. After clearing out the defenders, move inside and retrieve the codebook. This action will complete the optional objective.

You should now head east toward the encamped Marines shown on your map. There are several patrols of enemies between you and them, so keep on the look out. The Marines are armed and can take care of themselves, so thereÆs no need to hurry too much, but some speed is required. Once you reach the Marines, secure them and leave one team to defend them while you take another team with a demo specialist to complete the other objectives. This action will complete the first objective.

Head north, and youÆll see the guard tower in the center of the map. Snipers in the tower are covering the west approach, so you should attack this post from the south. Clear the defenders from the base of the tower, and then fire a grenade into the tower to take out the snipers. ItÆs a good idea to head up into the tower and try to snipe off any enemies that you can see from there.

Next, head north again. A patrol of enemies will be around the abandoned house. After clearing them out, head to the northeast, along the rock path. On the other side will be a sizable force defending the SAM Launcher. The SAM Launcher cannot shoot at you, so concentrate on clearing the defenders first before dealing with it. Some troops may move up from the south to engage you at this point, so you should sit tight for a minute and make sure the area is clear. Then take out the SAM Launcher with a M136, which completes the second objective. You should then head west along the north edge of the map, where youÆll encounter a small patrol and a machine-gun emplacement. The machine gun will be facing away from you, so eliminate the patrol first, then the machine gunner.

Now you can move back south and link up with your other team and the Marines. Move your entire force to the southeast corner of the map for extraction. YouÆll encounter several more patrols on the way, as well as a small force defending the extraction zone itself: Clear them out and move your entire group into the extraction zone. YouÆll then be extracted by helicopter, completing the final objective.

Mission 4: Hidden Spectre

In this mission, the Ghosts are inserted by boat into a swampy, foggy area. To the left of the insertion zone is a bridge thatÆs pretty well-defended, and to the right is a small bunch of huts with enemies milling about nearby. Either approach leads to the airfield, and capturing the airfield is your first objective. There are fewer troops guarding the village, but less cover approaching the airfield. The bridge is tougher, but it gives you a better approach to the airfield. Moving down along the shoreline if you head toward the bridge gives you cover from the enemy patrols.

The airfield itself looks lightly defended, but entering the compound triggers an ambush. Troops will move into the airfield from the north, and will take up defensive positions within the airfieldÆs buildings. Also, be aware that jeeps will move into the airfield along the road on the west side of the compound, so putting one team in place to ambush them is a good idea. Use the cover of the airfield buildings to your advantage and move building to building, particularly around the fieldÆs perimeter. Grenades are especially useful for clearing out the barracks building in the center of the north side of the complex. Once youÆve cleared the airfield, the first objective is completed.

After the airfield is secured, head to the northwest to find the ammo dump. ThereÆs another patrol of enemies guarding this site, and they have good cover on the swamps due east of their location. Be careful, as thereÆs very little cover on the approach to the ammo dump: Come up from the south for the easiest attack route. Once the guards have been dealt with, have your demo guy place an explosive inside the ammo dump to clear the second objective. The charge wonÆt explode while youÆre standing there, but it will explode soon after you leave the immediate vicinity of the building. DonÆt go prone and crawl away, or the explosion may catch you or your teammates.

To the northwest of the ammo building is the extraction zone. After seizing the airfield and blowing up the ammo dump, bring all of the remaining Ghosts to the extraction zone. This action will end the mission and cause an extraction movie to play. If you choose to eliminate all enemies, be careful: Several are in the swamp at the northeast corner of the map, and they have good cover.

Mission 5: Rapid Python

Mission 5 starts with a boat insertion at night. Speedily bring the Ghosts toward the south bridge, but watch out for enemies patrolling the area and specifically guarding the bridge. Once you start an engagement at the south bridge, two jeeps will leave from the northwest corner of the map to come in and surprise you from behind. Make sure you eliminate any enemies you see heading south, because theyÆre heading for the intelligence items that are your first objective. If they get there first, youÆll fail the mission.

Once youÆre over the bridge, head south to the intelligence items. Once you pick them up, the first objective will clear and the items will vanish. Head north and watch out for enemy patrols. YouÆll eventually come to a big rock with a path to its right. The guy youÆre supposed to rescue starts here, and once you go far enough north, he and his captors will begin to slowly move toward a BMP to the west. If they reach the BMP and make it over the bridge, youÆll fail the mission. Be very careful if youÆre attacking the patrol containing the prisoner: HeÆs liable to get caught in the crossfire and killed.

Eliminate the prisonerÆs captors and youÆll be able to escort him, completing the second objective. Bring him back to the insertion zone and youÆll win the mission. To complete the special objective, put a rocket up the tailpipe of the BMP. Be careful as you approach the BMP, as the bridge just to the west of it is heavily guarded. If you send one team north from the insertion zone, however, you can take out a few small patrols and get your men on an excellent sniper perch overlooking the bridge and the area around the BMP.

Mission 6: Liberty Storm

This mission has no insertion cinema. YouÆll start in the middle of a voting center before voting begins. YouÆll have to defend this place from an enemy onslaught, and the best way is to put sensors near the front and back doors and set up the rest of the Ghosts in defensive positions.

If enemies stop assaulting the voting center but the second objective hasnÆt been completed, that means the enemies have taken up defensive positions outside the voting center and youÆll have to root them out.

There are three civilians in this map, and each one is guarded by some enemies. Leave the civilians for last ù theyÆre safe until you escort them. Instead, travel east until you can eliminate some enemies and enemy jeeps. Go north and then west until you come across the ôcommand post,ö which should be labeled on your command map. Eliminating all enemies in this area will complete the third objective. After that, move to the southwest part of the map, where youÆll find a building you can enter and a hostage near an enemy. Eliminate the enemy soldier and bring the civilian with you. Move east across the map, and then head north. Enemies are almost everywhere in this part of the city, so be careful. Remember to look up ù enemies will snipe you from balconies. Once you hit the eastern edge of the map, follow the road north and youÆll come across another hostage. Eliminate the nearby enemies and escort him, too.

Continue north and youÆll see the last civilian and his captor on a balcony. Shoot the bad guy on the balcony and then make sure the building heÆs in is cleared. Once you escort him, the first objective should clear and the mission will end if the other two objectives are complete.

Keep all the Ghosts alive to clear the special objective.

Mission 7: Ocean Forge

In this sandy mission, the Ghosts are inserted via chopper behind a small, closed beach store. Whatever you do, no matter how tempting it may be, donÆt cross over from the west side of the seawall to the eastern side. Once you do, a bunch of enemies begin making their way to the vehicle column far to the north, and if enough of them reach it, youÆll fail the mission.

Keep low and move north along the sand dunes. Watch out for the enemy patrol you encounter not far from the insertion zone. Eventually youÆll arrive at the resort itself, which is near the vehicle column. Take out any enemies you can see near here ù be careful of the enemies inside the beach resort ù and then take out the tires of all the vehicles in the column, which will complete the first objective. Once youÆve done that, clear the remaining area of enemies so nobody gets behind you in the next section.

Enter the resort and be prepared to defend it from an assault from the beach. Enemies will start to charge the beach when you enter the resort, and you need to find a good defensible location from which the Ghosts can fight. DonÆt wander out onto the beach because enemy troops will almost certainly surround you. If enemies move past you to where the vehicle column used to be, donÆt worry ù youÆve already disabled the column. TheyÆll just defend that area if there are no vehicles. Eliminate all the assaulting enemies to clear the second objective.

Head onto the beach and go to the end of the north pier, which will complete half of the fourth objective. Move south, being wary of patrols, until you can see the guy manning the grenade launcher. Snipe him and any of his friends to complete the third objective. You ù and your enemies ù can wade fairly far out into the water, so be aware of enemies offshore. If you havenÆt killed all the enemies in the mission yet, head onto the south pier to complete the fourth objective. If the fourth objective doesnÆt complete, that means you didnÆt go far enough onto the north pier. If you move onto the correct location on a pier to complete an objective, a message box should appear.

After the mission is done, an extraction cinematic will play.

Mission 8: Righteous Archer

This mission starts with a helicopter inserting the Ghosts during a very heavy storm. You will only have one objective in this mission ù capture Priego. Start by following the road to the east, and keep an eye out for enemy patrols and manned machine guns on the hill to the east. Take out the guard tower on the northeast hill with a sniper and grenades. YouÆll need to head up the path to the north of the outcropping: do so cautiously, as an enemy may be covering the mouth of the path on the hilltop. When youÆve finished with this guard outpost, move south. Avoid the main compound in the center for now.

Continue to move south and watch for more enemies in the storm. Enemies moving through the rain are very difficult to spot from a distance, so youÆll want to move slowly and cautiously. YouÆll eventually see another guard tower and a helicopter. Clear the guard tower and the guards near the helicopter, and then blow up the helicopter with a grenade or a rocket. Normally, if Priego runs from the compound and reaches the helicopter, youÆll fail the mission, but now he has nowhere to run.

Start moving toward the south entrance to the compound, and be careful ù the four corners of the mall have manned machine guns on them. Watch the holes in the wall of the compound, too, because bad guys can shoot you through them (or you can shoot the bad guys first). Clear the immediate southern area of the compound and move to the big building in the middle. If you go in the buildingÆs south door, Priego will be in the first room on your right. However, he wonÆt surrender to you unless you clear all of the enemies in the immediate vicinity. Once he surrenders, everyone else surrenders, too. The mission ends with a helicopter-extraction cinema.

If you want to have a ômore flashyö experience in the compound assault, donÆt enter through the south entrance after you take out the helicopterù in fact, avoid being near the south entrance at all. Go in through the north entrance and watch out for the tank guarding that entrance. Clear the area of enemies, but take note of the enemy soldier in the small building to the right of the entrance, just inside the compound: heÆs fiddling with some boxes. Shoot him and back up, because that buildingÆs wired to blow. Once the small building explodes, three other buildings in the compound will explode after a while if you get too close to them. If you know about them, these buildings can be used as traps you can lure enemies into.

Note that if you have one team of Ghosts at the big buildingÆs south entrance and then come in through the north, Priego will escape via an escape route from the building to one of the caves scattered around the map that you cannot enter. If you have any troops near a cave, he will not move to that cave.
