THE OCTOBER PATCH LIST

Here are the game patches that appear in Tom McDonald's Extended Play 
column for October.

  Installation Note: To install these patches, enter the \PATCHES     
  subdirectory on our demo disc. You'll need to copy each patch into  
  each games appropriate directory on your hard drive. You'll need    
  to have a version of PKUNZIP to unzip most of these patches.

Baseball for Windows (SCHEDULE.S54): Corrects the 1954 schedule (the
Baltimore and Boston schedules were reversed).

Colonization for Windows (COL95.ZIP): Fixes some Win95 support and 
corrects general Windows bugs as well.

Fleet Defender Gold (FDGVID.ZIP): Patch for users who have been 
experiencing the "unable to open d:\fleet.avi" errors in Windows
normally caused by an older version of Video for Windows being
present on the system.

Klik & Play v.1.1 (KNPUSLLY.ZIP): Adds new speed-independent mode, 
deletes TEMP files, provides some new keystrokes and game-building
features, fixes numerous crashes, gliches, "out of memory" errors,
and screen garbage.

Mad Dog Macree 2 (MADDOGB.EXE): Fixes problems with the Sound Blaster 16.
A seperate patch (MADDOG.EXE) addresses sound problems with other cards.

Omar Sharif Bridge (OMARDOS.ZIP): Corrects the error message "speech
driver not found" and allows Sound Blaster to use IRQ 5.

Tigers on the Prowl v.1.24 (TOP_124.ZIP): Fixes bugs that cropped up with
patch v.1.23.

Warcraft v.1.21 (WARCR121.EXE): Offers improved sound card support,
increased 2-player game speed and numerous fixes, as well as the WAR_EDIT
Unit Editor v.1.5, and a complete list of cheat codes.


As with all these patches, make sure you have your original files backed up 
in case you need to reinstall. PC Gamer will not accept any responsibility
