Vampire Hero Mod version 1.9 for Dungeon Siege version 1.0 -To install, add Vampire.dsres to the resources folder of Dungeon Siege. -To uninstall delete Vampire.dsres from the resources folder of Dungeon Siege. -Multiplayer games cause a crash to desktop when you exit your session, but your character is saved. -Do not use any other mods with this mod or errors may occur. -Do not use previously played characters that were not created with this mod and this version of the mod because you will lose items and spells permanently. -You may improve the mod and if you do please contact me at vygor@shaw.ca as I would like to play it. Changes: -Health stays the same over time. -Blood decreases by 80 blood per game world day. -The character movement speed has been doubled. -The red status bar has been set to Blood. -The blue status bar has been set to Health. -The character portrait status bars have been set to display Blood and Health as above for all 8 Party Members. -Combat magic spells have been changed to nature magic. -Vampire magic works from Nature magic. -Many character spells have been removed from the game. -Starting Strength and Dexterity values have been changed to 20. -The Spell Book has been renamed Vampire Book. -Health has been renamed Blood. -Mana has been renamed Health. -Spells are free moneywise. -Blood is only required to power healing spells and blood acid. -Awe is ambivalence spell with level requirement set to 1. -Fear is freak spell with level requirement set to 1 and no delay. -Blood Heal is healing hands spell, costs a percentage of your current blood, this percentage decreases as vampire magic rises and the amount healed is your current amount of blood. -Vampire Claw is spell_kill with level requirement set to 1, with only a red blood explosion effect and damage is based upon your strength. -Share Blood is mana channel with range of 1 and blood trail effect is red. -Feed is leech life which increases Blood based on level in magic, has a drinking sound with only red blood trail. -Vampire Lore spell, added to starting inventory. -Exit Game option has been renamed Exit Vampire Game. -Changed strength/dexterity/intelligence skill increases. -Doubled sight_range of the hero. -It is always night now. -Changed starting character class name to Vampire and Vampiress. -Added Vampire eyes to the heroes and party members by modifying gargoyle eye glow, learned how to put it in the game from looking at Inoffensive_Name's HeroEyeGlow mod. A special thanks to Inoffensive_Name. -Mutiny is based on ambivalence spell which has a charm effect and changes alignment so mind control by the vampire is achieved. -Vampire Charm is based on charm with duration increasing based on level in magic and it auto recasts. -Changed krug to human monsters. -Removed all potions. -Changed level up class names to vampire level up class names. -Edited prefixes and suffixes names so that more of them have vampire feel to them. -Doubled melee and combat speeds for the characters, and halved the animation durations. -Added Portent's Advanced Archer Skills stealth ring to heroes and party members. A special thanks to Portent, as he graciously allows anyone to use his work if you credit him. Renamed ring Vampire Stealth and removed the item requirements. The ring makes you invisible to the monsters so you can run past them or sneak up on them. Checks are made to see if you remain in stealth mode and you may reenter stealth mode automatically when no monsters are in a 20 foot range which is quite large. It is equipped when you start a new game. -Blood Acid based on Acid Cloud, edited spell effect to be red, expels from the head region and damage based upon natural armor of the vampire. -Removed strength and dexterity enhancing modifiers. -Added two sets of suffixes of Vampire Acid Blood so the vampire can coat his melee weapons with acidic blood. -Changed heroes and party members so they do not autoheal others. -Added Richard Ballantynes throwing weapons. A special thanks to Richard. -Removed item requirements for throwing potions. -Changed all icons to red for throwing potions and made up acid blood names. -Edited of vampire acid blood modifiers to fire weapon effect script. -Edited fire hit damage to color red. -Changed throwing potions cast to acid blood cast. -Changed throwing potions hit effect to fire weapon. -Changed acid blood duration to 1 and modified damage based upon natural armor of the vampire. -Added new spell Blood Power which raises your attributes based upon how much blood you have. Blood cost is zero. -Halved the duration time for the alteration in the feed spell. -Added Jackal's Vastas and Female Vampire skins to the start of the game, a great new skin for each hero model with pants and shirt. It doesnt work for some reason. -Added all fire and lightning spells and a few summon spells with level requirement of 1. -Added spell kill_ranged which is a cool new mind damage spell, based upon spell_kill. -Added shooting star gun to starting inventory, the star richochets, has a projectile trail, and makes sparks when it hits objects. -Added spell Blood Shield, based upon Mana Shield. -Added slayer sword to starting inventory, makes lightning effect when it hits, attacks faster than normal, uses Great sword model, alters melee based on intelligence, chance to dodge based on dexterity, adds lightning damage based on intelligence, and is coated with acid blood. Added 3 equip effects and sword uses blue texture. -Added Jackal-Ringed Plate Shirt to the game, armor increases with dexterity, and I added mist effect based upon droog reveal. A special thanks to Jackal for this great skin! -Added Trench Coat to game, another Jackal creation, thanks again! -Jackal made new versions of the green vampire skins for the farmboy and dwarf which are simply incredible. Thank you Jackal, you are very talented. -Jackal updated his pants and shirts for the hero models, they look even more astonishing than before! -Jackal updated his Vastas skin by my request to remove the sideburns so that different hair on the skin would look better. -Updated all new guns with Jackal's gun skin, the new skin looks really great! -Altered Vampire Lore so that it maxes out strength at level 35, dexterity at level 100 and adds 7 armor per level in vampire magic. -Altered formulas so strength and dexterity do not increase with use of melee/ranged/vampire magic use. -Changed throwing dart to throwing star, which hits with sparks and sticks in the monsters like arrows do. -Made machine gun effect so that it has a muzzle flash and gun firing sound, sparks occur when you hit the terrain with the projectile, and when you hit your target a red blood explosion occurs. -Made laser gun effect so that red laser projectile is fired and cool red blast effect occurs when you hit the monster. -Made rifle/shotgun effect so that it has lightning storm cast sound, sparks occur, and when you hit the monster red blood explosion occurs. -Added 28 machine guns, 1 shooting star gun, 2 laser rifles and 8 rifles/shotguns to the game. -Removed skin choices except vampire ones for players. -Made it so all hair works on all heads. -Removed all pants and shirts choices except Jackal's. -Changed starting inventories so they have shooting star gun, sub machine gun, slayer sword, trench coat, Jackal-Ringed Plate Shirt, throwing star, spells(feed, blood healing, blood acid, share blood, vampire claw, blood acid and vampire lore), and the stealth ring. -Removed blood loss over time. -Added Jackal's Slayer skin to the human monsters, they look like farmer boys with gold ninja masks.
