To set or change your security settings
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Security tab, under General, do one or both of the following:
- Select or clear the I prefer to receive secure incoming calls check box.
- Select or clear the I prefer to make secure outgoing calls check box.
Notes
- Each time you place a call through the Place Call button, you have the option to require security or not.
- Each time you host a meeting, you have the option to require security or not.
- In a secure call, NetMeeting encrypts all data sent and received using Chat, Whiteboard, shared programs, and files exchanged among participants.
- Audio and video features are not available during secure calls because NetMeeting does not encrypt audio and video. To remove the audio and video features from your NetMeeting window, on the View menu, click Data Only.
- There cannot be both secure and non-secure calls in a meeting. All calls must be one or the other.
