Magic management of multiple windows

Coping with a desktop full of windows can be annoying. Windows 98 ù and Internet Explorer 4.x with the Desktop Update ù provides a handy Desktop button for minimising all windows with a single click; it's in the Quick Launch portion of the taskbar next to the Start button. (If you don't see the Quick Launch toolbar, right-click the taskbar and choose Toolbars-Quick Launch.) But what if you want to minimise, maximise, restore, or tile some windows but not others? Or if you want to exit multiple windows at once? With Windows 98, you can accomplish these tasks in a flash. Just hold down the <Ctrl> key as you click buttons on the taskbar corresponding to the windows you want to work with. Then right-click one of the selected buttons and choose a command. Only the selected windows will be affected.
