Servicing Windows 95 and NT


Tip
Although there's no miracle fix that will squash every last one of your Windows bugs, Microsoft service packs can kill quite a few, and may make your system run more smoothly. Here are some links to help you locate the latest service pack for your version of Windows.
If you are running an early release of Windows (ie not OSR2), download the Windows 95 Service Pack 1 Update from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/software/servpak1/sphome.htm.
NT 4.0 users should visit the Service Packs Information page at [http://premium.microsoft.com/support/ntserver/content/servicepacks/where.asp to download Service Pack 3. This page also includes a link to a document called "Before Installing a Windows NT Service Pack", which details the most important precautions you should take before installing the update.
