Quick numbered lists in Word Pro 96

Tip
When you want to include numbered lists in your Word Pro documents, you could right-click on the text, click the Bullets and Numbers tab in the Text Properties dialogue box, and then choose a number style -- 1., A., a., I., or i.

To create a numbered or bulleted list in Word Pro, click the Style button on the status menu

But there's a much simpler method. With your cursor on the line where you want the numbering to start, click the Style button on the status bar at the bottom of your document window. When the style list pops up, choose Number List, and start typing your list. The items will be numbered as 1., 2., 3., and so on.
If you want to change the number style after you enter the list, you'll have to use the Text Properties dialogue box and select the Bullets and Numbers tab. When you're finished with the list, just switch back to the style you were using previously. You can do the same thing for bulleted lists, choosing one of the preset styles.
