Can you use existing 16-bit files on Windows 95? For example, MS Word 6.0 files on MS Word 7.0? Or Corel Draw 5.0 files on Corel Draw 6.0?

I presume that you are referring to documents created by earlier versions of both these applications? In almost all cases the latest version of a program can read the documents created by an earlier version. This is called backwards compatibility and is a feature that users demand from software, to prevent their data becoming unusable when they update their software. When you install new software, always run the installer program, usually called install.exe or setup.exe. This ensures that the components of the software are placed in the appropriate directories. Don't try to install software by copying files manually from the installation disks.
