Backup and version control in one
How much is your data worth to you? It's probably priceless, but for US$20 or US$30 (depending on whether you want the standalone or network version), FileBack PC can save your work, if not your bacon. Bristling with options, FileBack PC can perform scheduled backups ù in the background ù of changed files, store multiple (up to 99) versions of specific files, automatically back up files within moments of your saving them, synchronise source and destination files to keep all versions up to date, and more. Tape drives are not supported, but Zip drives ù and any other removable-media drives that are assigned a drive letter ù are. Wading through the dialogue boxes is a challenge, but the thorough online help should clarify things. FileBack is designed for Windows 9x and NT. It's a great package at a great price, and it's available on our cover CD and from the FileBack home page at www.inconnect.com/~mos/FileBack.html. û Scott Dunn |
