Tip Word 6.0 is very slow while scrolling (takes up to 30 seconds) when the document has more than 50 pages. After checking all the settings (cache, swapfile, 32-bit disk/file access, etc) it turns out that the simplest solution is to Select All contents of the document, Copy them, and then Paste them to a new document. Save the new document and work on it; the performance problem goes away.
