Boot to Win 3.1 or 95

In PC World August '96 p167 it said something about choosing to boot into Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. My problem is I run 3.1 currently and I want to install 95 as well as running 3.1. How would I do this? Do I first have to install Win 95, then follow the instructions in the Q&A article?

The article in August referred to how to add Windows 3.1 onto your computer if it is already running Windows 95. Because you have Windows 3.1 on your computer there is an easier way.
You must have the upgrade version of Windows 95 otherwise you have to wipe your hard drive before you install. When you install Windows 95 do not install over the top of Windows 3.1. During the installation you will be asked to choose the directory where you want Windows 95 to be installed. Choose a different directory to the one where Windows 3.1 currently is (eg choose C:\Win95). The installation program automatically makes your computer dual bootable. Now your computer will normally boot Windows 95, but you can boot DOS and Windows 3.1 by holding down the F8 key during startup and choosing Previous version of MSDOS from the menu.
