Buttoning and unbuttoning in Word
While you've got Word's Customize dialogue box open and have the Toolbars or Commands tab selected, try these additional tips for making the toolbars more useful.
Remove a button by dragging it off the toolbar and onto the document. Drag buttons onto the menu bar in Word 97. This makes them available at all times, whether toolbars are displayed or not, and maximises your screen space. Change the appearance of a button by right-clicking it and then selecting Edit Button Image from the pop-up menu.
