Hide sensitive cells

Melinda Parsons has found an easy way to prevent a cell from being displayed in Excel. She uses a custom number format that consists of three semicolons. To apply the format, right-click the cell and select Format Cells. In the Format Cells dialogue box, select the Number tab, select Custom in the Category list, type three semicolons (;;;) in the Type box, and click OK. This method, which works in Excel 95 and Excel 97, is useful when you don't want a cell to appear on screen or in print.
